I brought a decently high ticket item to sell at Andys. The first girl I was talking to was very helpful and nice. Another guy walked in, some fat, old dude. WIthin 5 seconds of talking to me, he told me that either the item was stolen or counterfeit because why? No reasons, just profiling me. Will never, ever, ever, EVER be back. As much business as I give Andy's I would have expected better service I bought a ring there and the diamond has came out 2x and both times I took it back to get it fixed they changed to fix it, as much money I have spent on fixing this ring I could have bought a bigger and better ring were if a diamond came out it wouldn't have cost me Hundreds of dollars, on top of all that when I took it back the second time , I was told dont worry we will take care of it for you only to be charged again $100 when I picked it up..... thats bad business. This place is horrible I would never ever go back they are crooks and very rude. They will go back on their word And don't stand behind what they say. I was promised a custom ring within 3 weeks, those assholes sold my ring to someone else even after he gave them a deposit and promised him it would be ready in three weeks. A month later excuses no ring. I will never ever go back nor will I ever ever refer anyone to place again ever. Also they don't acknowledge you when you enter their store. FYI GO ELSEWHERE THESE PEOPLE ARE RUDE AND DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I also don't know how a pawnshop is a necessary business to be open during this crisis. Also Brian practically begged me to have his jeweler make a ring for me, I had a couple of rings that I have had for a while I wanted plated which the jeweler only plated part of them and charged me $50.00 each the next day the plating was coming off already. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! I walked into the pawn shop today in hopes to pawn in my wedding rings. As I walked in the men of the shop made eye contact with me and ended up walking to the back and ignoring me as I was looking at them waiting to be helped . There was another worker there handling two other customers at the time , and he also asked what I needed help with and I told him I'd like to sell my gold rings (he has a huge sign on the side of the building "we buy gold") he then directed me to the men who was ignoring me , and I believe it's the owner of the shop he asks in a very rude tone " what are you trying to sell" I show him my rings and he doesn't even weigh it or anything told me "no I'm not buying that at all" I WOULD NOT PAWN ANYTHING HERE !! While I have been a customer of Andy's pawn shop for 15 years my husband and I have done plenty of business with Walt and Brian as of today I will never step foot in this establishment again! Today while asking for a certain price for a ring that I have pawned and received the price I was asking for both men tried to talk me in to 160$ instead of 200$ when my 8 year old son asked me what was going on I explained that they offered me less than before. At this time in explaining negotiating to me son walt throwing my ring at tells me to get out of his shop and go somewhere else and see if they'll take it ( which they did and we're way more professional than I imagined) now as a customer if theirs for 15 years I've never felt so disrespected buy any man as Brian proceed to taught me ! Good pawnshop in Fairfield. The staff is friendly and fair, and as a regular they've even given an occasional treat to my kids when we're in. My wife swears by their in-house jeweler (Luis) for cleaning and polishing her jewelry, and even the occasional repairs. read more

We didn't pawn anything here but we went in because my wife lost her wedding ring and we wanted to see if it was on the market. As soon as we walked in everybody was helpful and they told us what all the laws were regarding pawn shops. They displayed all of the rings they had in stock and a very nice gentleman by the name of Walt offered his metal detector equipment. We were amazed at how friendly he was and he brought out all new batteries for two metal detectors, gave us both of them with a handshake and a wish of good luck. The wedding ring was missing for almost a week and with the metal detectors that Walt lent us we found the ring!!!!! What a great group of guys thank you very much Walt!!!! read more

Andy's Pawn Shop sells all sort of stuff. I go there all the time just to look around. I've bought laptops, iPods and tools, plus quite a few other things. The guys are very helpful too. Pay them a visit if you're in town, you never know what you might find. They also have a layaway plan. They have quite a bit of musical instruments. Lots of guitars, amplifiers and drum sets. They're always open during normal business hours, even during their lunch break. My only negative comment is sometimes when you call they don't answer the phone. I suppose they're too busy with in-store customers. read more

They really try to take your merchandise for nothing and will even try to offer you less for something you've pawned with them in the past. To his surprise, this place he said gave him a much better deal for his stuff and got treated better than premiere. Which was told was better than Andy's but in reality was false. Swindlers! Beware! I pawned my Bose system. Andy's claims they mailed a final notice. Interestingly enough, they mailed the final notice to an 5 year old address and not the address that was provided. My guess, they googled our name and found an address and decided to mail the final notice there instead so they can keep my merchandise. When I questioned them, it was explained that they mailed it to the address they were given. LIE LIE LIE!!! these people are bad business and obviously desperately need money that they will LIE in order to retain your merchandise. Don't say I didn't warn you. Try the pawn shop on W. I remember coming here with my husband to see how much my wedding ring would sell for so as to buy another one. We waited forever to finally talk to someone who was the son of the owner. He took one look at the ring and said he wouldn't touch it because it wasn't big enough. I instantly become angry mostly because we sat there waiting just to have someone say in two seconds I'm not going to touch it like I just brought in dog poop to pawn. You are much better off selling your item on Craig's list and ebay then going to this place. My husband the next day idiotically took his guitar amp there the next day the son like a broken record repeated the same thing as soon as he walked through the door.
