I get there with my box of silver and gold and he tells me he's not going to look at all that, it's too much. I explain that I only need a few pieces looked at, I just grabbed the whole box due to time constraints. "My time is valuable" he said. Like mine isn't? So I pull out a gold diamond necklace and he tells me his time is too valuable to look at ONE piece, one I know for certain is gold. He literally tried to SHOO me away. And then he tells me he usually charges $10 to look at each piece, which if he does he should have told me that over the phone. But I know that's a lie bc I've been there with a friend of mine and there was no fee. And he says well u should've told me u had gold over the phone. What ELSE would I bring to a shop that specifically buys gold?? Unicorns?! I'd understand had i not called, but he was expecting me. It took me 5 mins longer to get there than I said. The reason I called was bc the last time I had driven there they had already closed and left and there was still 20 mins left till 5 (their posted hours). He did give me a price for a large silver men's ring, one a different shop wanted to give me $20 for, he said $3. He wasn't even trying to buy anything, which is crazy cuz that's ur whole fn business!!! Avoid at all costs.

THEY ARE THE BEST!! after a frustrating couple of days being turned away at various "pawn shops", i…read moredecided to try one last place. im SO glad i did, i am a customer for life. i came in today with a small bin full of miscellaneous jewelry, nothing crazy fancy- and a lot of pieces that needed to be tested. the entire team was SO warm and friendly when they welcomed me in. but i have to say, sabrine was the star of the show. she told me how much she loved looking through collections like that and got to work. as she sorted through my items, i looked at all the beautiful (and very reasonably priced) items they had for sale, so many amazing treasures!! early on in my transaction, sabrine asked me about the gold colored pieces i had, and i told her that someone at a different pawn shop the other day said there was not any gold. sabrine offered to re test them, and told me she found a couple pieces of gold. THAT was a huge trust-earning moment for me, she could have easily pocketed them as copper/brass, but was very honest. she checked in with me throughout the process, but i was content browsing and chatting with the other employees/customers, everyone was truly so nice. when sabrine told me my offer, i was so, so, so happy i almost cried- it was amazing and SO fair. sabrine was SO thorough, yet efficient with the help of other team members. she sorted through hundreds of pieces of jewelry in about an hour, and i walked out with more cash than i anticipated.
