He didn't know what to do with them or how to create a ring & I happen to be an accessories designer who doesn't like surprises. We went the nontraditional route & worked on my ring together. I did some sketches and created a CAD. I included some additional photos of rings I liked as well. I looked online to see who did custom and only saw great reviews of Mike & Prestige. From the first time we went in the service was nothing, but the best. Mike LISTENED and at the same time educated us on the diamonds and what was workable. I'm picky to say the least and he worked with me every step of the way. He used my sketches to work with his CAD guy. I was able to review the 3D CAD's and ask my questions. From there we went in to review the 3D mold and from there it was in my boyfriends hands. I got my ring just a little over a week ago and am thrilled with how it came out! My story starts over 2.5 years ago, but I'm finally getting to compliment Mike! I found my way to Prestige Jewelry in August of 2010, because I saw "the one", a ring they had on their website...my wife and I had done our research on diamonds-quality, cut, color, clarity, and I knew exactly what type of ring I wanted to get her. "The ring" was there at their shop, but it was too big, and not "just right". I looked around for other options but didn't see anything else close to what I wanted....then I found their loose diamonds. That's where I found "the one", the stone! We had plans to go to Maui for a week vacation, and I thought how perfect it could be to surprise her and propose over there (she swears she'd know it if I had some plan). This was the day before we flew out! This was also at 5PM, closing time. Mike stayed with me, sorted out my setting, and even arranged for the ring to be sent to Maui via UPS, in hopes I'd receive it properly. I was willing to chance it, and it worked out, I totally surprised her on an amazing sunset! Later when I could afford it, Mike had the ring I wanted recreated to size in 3D, created a physical 3D model, and then had the stone set in the most amazing three stone setting, pave' around the band, and awesome filigree/etching on the edges. I showed it to my now wife about a month before our wedding, and we're now celebrating 1 1/2 years married this month.
