I had a thick-band ring resized up one full size, and the jeweler did an excellent job. The sizing is perfect, and the workmanship is so seamless that you can't tell the ring was altered. It was completed in only one week. The jeweler also kindly verified the identification number on a lab-grown diamond I purchased elsewhere. I'm very pleased with the quality, service, and quick turnaround! read more

Excellent service, Always friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend them.

I love local, and always try and go out of my to support small business. The owner was very personable, gave me a wonderful history of the business that he purchased from the original owners, who were a local institution in Fairfield. I took a ring in to get sized up, I was not disappointed. I plan to use Nan-Den for future purchases. read more

Excellent customer service and repair work. They have saved me twice this month! I needed a gold chain repaired in a short amount of time to take to my daughter as a college graduation gift. The original time frame they gave me was not going to work. When I told them my circumstances they graciously accommodated me. I took in another piece today to ideally have it repaired before Christmas and they did it on the spot. Thank you!!! read more

I have used Nan Den as my only jeweler for the past 6 years. The selection is amazing and if you want something not on the inventory he will get it for you. The owner is very knowledgeable and honest . He does beautiful work, both designing new pieces and repairing other valuable items. I recommend Nan Den without reservation. read more

This place was recommended to me for jewelry repairs. I brought in a sterling silver cross pendant on 11/17 to have the bail replaced. I was told the pendant would be completed and ready on 11/23. On 11/23 at 1pm I arrived to find the owner inform me he had yet to start my jewelry repair and that it was next on his list and would be done 11/24 now as he was closing the shop early. On 11/24 I arrived at 11am to find the owner again inform me he had yet to start the repair and wouldn't for another hour or so as he was currently helping in store customers. I understand people get busy but the owners unapologetic nonchalant attitude towards his continuous delay of project completion makes me understand that I'll never do business here again. read more

Went in to take a look and buy some jewelry as I am an avid collector. Having traveled to Dubai many times to see and buy from their famed Gold Souk which is a mall dedicated to just jewelry and Gold. I have purchased many pieces and know my Gold. That being said, the store is cheap looking. The owner had some okay pieces. Mainly over priced for the quality. But Mainly There was a lot of junk, fake junk. Metal rings with fake stones for $200? Why , who does he thinks is? Jacob the Jeweler of Celebrities? I have never seen so much fake crap in my life. And all over $200 price range. Some of it wasn't even silver?! And he doesn't even know what the stones are or if they are real or notreally? And some of the rings are really rusty and just nasty.! Lol, the guy is a fake and his shop is beyond pathetic. But then again, it's in a hole in the wall location. He even has people leave their fake overpriced 2nd hand costume Jewelry on display to sell for them. And his attitude is beyond rude and unprofessional. He's a short dude with short man complex! And obviously no knowledge of Jewelry whatsoever. I would never spend my money on such crap from a crappy fake jeweler with a nasty attitude. Sorry I wasted 10 minutes of my time in such a ghetto shop. He harasses his customers making nasty personal comments about them. He belongs more in a pig pen shoveling doodoo rather then making crappy jewelry. But then again maybe his daddy past it down to him. Don't waste your time people. I've seen the same junk he sells for hundreds, selling on the net for less then $40. Check out Groupon and u will see what I mean, it's all made in China metal plated with fake Gold. Seriously don't waste your time with the fake Picasso- and he's far from that as well. The short Lil dude is no designer just a sad wannabe. read more

I am so glad to have a place like this in town. After my favorite necklace broke I hung on to it for a few months trying to figure out a way to repair it myself. Finally defeated, I came here to see what could be done to salvage my beloved necklace. You can't just walk in the door here, you have to ring a doorbell and be buzzed in by an employee. When I came to drop off my necklace I entered with a man while the jeweler was helping another woman select earrings. It was a good, solid 10 minutes after I walked in before the man working (the jeweler) acknowledged me in any way. The woman he was helping when we entered took a while but he never shot me (or the man I entered with) a glance or a "I'll be right with you" until he was moments from walking over. Not a big deal, I guess it gave me a chance to look around a bit but most of their stuff was out of my price range. The guy looked over my necklace and told me he could fix it for $15, just over $16 with tax. I agreed and he told me to return in a week to pick it up. When I did come back there was a few women in the store and I started dreading the wait before I even got in. This time however, he acknowledged me right away and remembered that I was there to pick up a necklace. He called to a woman in the back of the shop to come help me and she emerged a few minutes later to retrieve my necklace. When she brought it out I noticed the ring the jeweler had attached to repair the necklace needed to be clamped shut a bit more and he fixed it right away. It was so great being able to wear my favorite piece of jewelry again. I certainly hope I don't have another of my items break anytime soon, but if it does happen I'm confident the staff here can handle it. read more

I dropped off two watches to get a link taken out in each one and one to get a battery replaced. Very fair pricing. I would recommend them

I had my ring resized at a different jeweler and wanted to have Nan-Den Jewelers take a look to verify it matches my GIA certificate for my own peace of mind. The owner was very understanding and reassured me that my diamond was untouched and indeed matched the certificate. He checked the measurements, verified the color, the prongs, and the imperfections. He pointed out to me that the prongs were loose and showed me by shaking the ring by my ear and listening for the sound of it clinking. For $20 he tightened my prongs and now I can feel at peace knowing my diamond is secure and that there is a jeweler down the street that I can trust. read more

So grateful to be a customer! Twice in a month: best service. I had a broken wide gold ring. Over the phone his wife gave the most thorough and accurate and lowest idea of what I may expect compared to other shops on yelp. Sure enough her bottom guestimate of $ range was the amount: $25. !/2 to 1/4 what others tossed out on the phone. So I pulled out a gold band that needed re-sizing. he said $35. Done deal! Weeks later after having done to another local and well yelped "buy gold" dealer who quoted $133, Fernando assessed it (not knowing I had checked anywhere else) and said $165. He has many unique, jewelry items in his large inventory. Definitely our "go to" shop. BTW the polished resultant rings were like knew! read more

We have done business with them for about two years. We have bought custom made peices and have had sizing and repairs done. They are so nice and reasonably priced. In fact we are on our way right now to have another repair done in a ring that was purchased from another jeweler and Nan's is cheaper for the repair. read more

The jewelry I have brought for repair has been expertly restored. The owner and his staff are friendly, helpful, and will work with you to achieve whatever you need to have done. Pricing is very reasonable, and you won't have to confront a snooty attitude and neither will you be surprised with a greater than expected bill. I have been going to Nan-Den for about 20 years, and doubt a better jeweler can be found. read more

This is the second custom ring I've had made for my wife and like the first Fernando did an exquisite job. My wife is thrilled with the design and the craftsmanship. Highly recommended read more

It is a pleasure to do business with Fernando and his staff. No hard sell, just good honest business conducted with respect and courtesy.

Fernando is the best I've seen, designer, jeweler and above all a Godly man. Thanks for 12 years of impeccable service

This is the place to go if you're looking for a great deal on quality jewelry. It's family owned, and you are made to feel like family when you're there. I've had a few things worked on there for a very cheap price. It took them a few days to have my repair completed, but that's only because they have a lot of repairs to do (some more complicated than others). Overall an excellent place to get your jewelry fixed and to get a great deal on jewelry for purchase. read more

I have been a customer of Nan-Den Gems for about four years. I have purchased several lovely pieces of jewelry from them over this time. I have also had items repaired by Fernando. He has always had my jewelry ready for pick-up when promised. He worked with me two years ago in custom designing my wedding set. It was a stressful and scary process, but Fernando listened to me and really took the time to make sure I was satisfied with the results. Fernando and his family are wonderful, honest, trustworthy and I never worry leaving my jewelry with them. The prices are incredibly fair and I don't even have to comparison shop any more. I know that Fernando will always give me the best price for any repairs or purchases I have. To find a jeweler you can trust is a great thing. I've found him and I won't go anywhere else. THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I found this place a year ago through a referral of a co worker she swore by him. I was going crazy looking for a cross but a cross that was different not like all the others so I thought I'll check it out Well to my surprise I found the perfect cross for me. I was so happy because I'd been shopping for awhile. That wasn't the best , the best part was the way they treated me , like family. Fernando ( the owner) was so attentive to my needs and wants I was so impressed. I knew this was my place for my jewelry needs . I needed something special this last purchase which was time sensitive and of course HE CAME THROUGH AGAIN !!! I just want to thank him and his beautiful daughter for taking me and my money serious , I work so hard I don't mind spending but cheesy salesman that just want to take my money and not listen to the story behind it , or how special this moment really is , it's just a turn off. So if you want to have a GREAT EXPERIENCE and find some QUALITY BEAUTIFUL pieces go see Fernando , actually everyone there is pretty terrific. THANK YOU FERNANDO read more
