I recently shipped home a 1913 Arts & Crafts oak clock from my mom's home to myself via UPS. Per the clock shop service stickers on the back -- the clock had a full overhaul in 2013 and lubrication in 2016; it had been sitting at my mom's "not working" for several years. Simone called me back and we discussed my clock issue -- I sent her some photos and in our discussion, she gave me a tip about hanging the pendulum that resulted in - VOILA! The clock is running and keeping time since our last chat. I just have to find another nut to fit the screw for the half-hour bell to get that back into place. Thanks for your time and coaching! read more

The Mobile Clock Doctor - Detail work - Watch Repair Near Me

I believe I spoke to Simone? She was a very sweet and kind woman. My inherited grandfather clock had stopped working so I was reaching out for an estimate for mobile repair. She walked me through everything to get it running again and even allowed me to send her some photos to assist with some visuals of what I was seeing. Thanks to her, we were able to diagnose what was going wrong and fix it. She did this at no cost, and was incredibily helpful throughout the entire process. I couldn't recommend them enough! read more

This couple came to my home and gave me an estimate of over $800 to repair what they call the kitchen clock that was dated back to the 1890s. It was a family clock that had been in my family for several generations. Needless to say I wasn't anxious to pay over $800 for the repair nor did I really believe that $800 was a reasonable quote. I called another clock repair out of Davis and he is going to repair it to the tune of $250 and will add another $25 if some kind of string is needed to be replaced not sure exactly what he meant but, $250 and possibly $275 is a far cry from over $800! I was very happy to have met this clock repair person out of Davis. His name is Darrell, and as far as I could tell, he was very trustworthy and honest. He is semi retired since 2007 and said it would be 4 to 6 weeks before my clock would be ready, but I am in no hurry. read more

I called "The Mobile Clock Doctor" and made an appointment to have my Grandfather Clock looked at, as it had suddenly stopped working. I spoke with Simone (the wife & partner). She made an appointment for the following week to come look at my clock. The following week, Simone called me at the beginning of the week to confirm our appointment time. On the day of the scheduled service, Simone and Patrick (the husband & other partner) BOTH came to my home and ON TIME!!! They came in and got my clock running almost immediately with minor adjustments and lubrication. I was beyond relieved and very excited that my clock seemed to be just fine!!! Simone & Patrick thanked me for my patronage and left. Their visit only took a couple of minutes!! As they were about to leave, I asked what I owed them. I was ASTONISHED BEYOND WORDS when I was told that I owed them NOTHING AT ALL, that my visit was FREE OF CHARGE!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I am certainly going to schedule a full cleaning of my clock and start regular servicing!!! Any business that is generous enough to give me free service to start with, MORE than DESERVES my regular and scheduled patronage!!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH again Simone & Patrick!!! I would like to say that I am very disappointed in the lack of follow through with Simone. I called her last week and she seemed very pleasant on the phone, asked all the right questions, took my information and told me that she would be in my area the following week (this week), and I explained that Wednesdays and Thursdays worked best. Well today is Wednesday and have not heard a peep from Simone at all! I should not have to call and chase after a service, and I wont. The company is offering a service and if Simone cannot follow through, then maybe she is not one to do the job. All I am asking as a customer, is Communicate! If you cannot make a day/week/time, all you have to do is call, give me at least that benefit of the doubt. So everyone, maybe look for another company that is more interested in wanting your business and communicating with you read more

If you are still in business please reach out to me. I would like to schedule an appointment.

Excellent service. I inherited my father's grandfather clock and had moved it from Southern California to Elk Grove. I needed to get it up and running. Mobile Clock promptly answered my Yelp inquiry and we scheduled a home appointment. They called ahead when they were on the way and arrived ready to go to work. They were knowledgeable and explained to me how to operate and care for the clock. I was pleased with the service and cost. I will use them again. read more

My parents used The Mobile Clock Doctor to service and prepare my Grandparents' Grandfather clock for a 600 mile drive to my home in Las Vegas. It arrived last week and unpacked today with fingers crossed that it made a same trip. The clock was immaculately wrapped with cardboard and plastic. The chains were secured and tangle free. Weights were labeled right, center and left. Chimes and hammers were secured with cardboard and foam. I did not meet the companies employees myself but their workmanship definitely left me with a positive review. Highly recommended. read more

Unfortunately after my second (and last) experience with this couple I will never use them again.I gave them a clock which they said would be completely rebuilt leaving me with the belief there would be parts exchanged etc. What this rebuilding consisted of was simply a cleaning for which they asked a ridiculous amount.I initially agreed to the price thinking there would be more involvement than a cleaning. In the end they wouldn't budge and they ended up keeping my clock to sell it.I have found a much more reputable service in San Jose that has actually been doing this their whole lives.Severely overpriced read more

August 24, 2014-Napa earthquake knocked over our grandfather clock, and smashed the case, knocked every single number off the dial, and made our clock unworkable. Patrick and Simone came to the rescue and restored the clock's face, overhauled the workings, and it runs and looks like new. You have to be patient, because they have quite a backlog, but they tell you up front. Thank you Patrick and Simone, you're a treasure and we're glad we found you. read more
