Clothes and shoes are def the story here. Home goods and things like that aren't great and pretty 'junky'. They have color coded sales and a nice check out system. The only drawback is there is a lot of unhoused people in the area and in the store. This in itself is not an issue. I feel compassion and sympathy for whatever the challenges are that they face. It's all complicated and difficult. I think this store maybe has a kind policy and letting people come in from the cold and rain. However, this is a review and I would be remiss if I didn't share that the store and several of its shoppers had the odor of urine and feces. I have a bone to pick here. Found this thrift store while out on a couple errands with a friend. Since we both loveeeeee a good thrift store, we decided to go in. First thing I found was a larger sized wooden nutcracker (the kind like they sell at the grocery store in the holiday section lol), maybe like 16-18". I looked it over, broken in several spots, but thought no biggy! I can fix it since I collect nutcrackers! I loved him! Nothing could have prepared me for the PRICE. This MF was $26.99! My jaw hit the floor. To add insult to injury, right above that ridiculous price tag was an original store tag where this nutcracker was sold brand new for $14.99. Have they no shame? That ballsy to rip off customers by almost charging DOUBLE what it was originally worth, and leaving that original tag on to rub it in ? So I went and found a worker, this must be a mistake. She got a manager. I pointed out the original $14.99 price tag from the store it came from. I showed him the broken elbow, broken shoulder (the whole arm was poorly glued back on), the broken staff, and the broken foot that was taped on the base with blue painters tape. lol. He looks at me idiotically; smirking like Duhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Then he says "we can't change the prices" and stares at me stupidly. No progress, no discount. Fruitless interaction. What in the actual fuck is going on here?? That sorta set the tone for this shopping trip. I swear I every single thing I touched must have been $15.99 . I went to the women's jeans, soon as I saw layers of price tags at $26.99, I kept walking. Earrings in the display case for $499.00. Worn kids Jordan's, $130. My friend and I looked at each other like we were in the twilight zone. I'm thinking, this is a THRIFT store right?!? The entire shopping trip was astonishing. I have never ever ever experienced such outrageous prices like these before. Where do they get off trying to gouge customers like this in an environment which should foster savings, people need savings! They get all this bullshit donated. And THATS what they do to the community they serve ?! Since when can't people afford stuff at the thrift store? !? Meanwhile you have employees all over, stern sour faces with sticks in their asses. Security walking around. Everyone looking like they're on the defense, no smiles or warm interactions with customers. All like they're trying to protect the Crown Jewels from us thieving peasants. Maybe if your prices were affordable you wouldn't have to worry about people stealing shit. Maybe if you didn't invest in 200k in a shitload of self-serve check outs (which is the ONLY option to make a purchase, and note the entire area is plastered in warnings and reproductions if you try to steal. This frees up the employees to stare and hover over you making you uncomfortable while you're trying to buy something), you wouldn't have to price gouge customers to turn a profit! No one's paying $12.99 for a used beanie. $54.99 for a used Chicago Bears jersey of an unknown player I found on the floor, $24.99 for used Converse, $15.99 for a used lime green fanny pack, $26.99 for used Walmart jeans. $100 for a half gallon size freezer bag of miscellaneous cheap ass watches that all needed new batteries, $10.99 for a pair of purple toddler sandals Or $26.99 for a broken nutcracker! This review is for donation drop offs. I haven't visited Eco Thrift in a long time and when I went on a Monday afternoon, it was packed on a rainy day! The parking lot was full and it was packed inside. From what I saw it looked like they had some good deals. I specifically went here to try to drop off donations. The hours are Monday-Friday from 7am-1pm only. They take everything for the most part and don't forget to ask for a tax deductible receipt. I've gone to eco thrift a handful of times and each time I go I remind myself not to return yet the thrift always calls my name. I love a good treasure hunt. It's best to get there when they open and you have more time to look through items without a crowd. As of lately , the prices are extremely high! $46.99 on a pair of free people shorts for resell and no fitting rooms to even make sure they fit correctly. Two mirrors in the whole store only with people trying on several items and sharing no room for others. By the time I'm done thrifting I am exhausted mentally. It's official, I have become blasé about your run of the mill thrift shop. Echo thrift is actually quite a decent thrift shop. It's very large. It has enormous selection. Prices range from shockingly high for a thrift to absolute bargains. You just have to hunt long enough. However, I've recently checked out habit for humanities restore shop in Fairfield, community projects thrift in Napa and the Sutter Solano thrift shop in Vallejo. if you're looking for astonishingly low prices go to Sutter Solano. If you're looking for more variety and selection, but still with reasonable prices go to community projects thrift. If you want your socks, blown off by a thrift that has an absolutely enormous space, lots of furniture, tools, supplies for a restoration, house decor, but higher prices (for a thrift) go to Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Eco thrift seems to dominate somewhere in the middle. They have tons of clothing, a decent kitchen section, good linens, and bedding, an unexpected number of small electronics, and some choice pieces that they keep behind glass. If you ever want to take a pilgrimage to the town of Saratoga, the Echo Shop is a boutique like thrift shop. The selection is top notch although it's very small. They specialize in women's clothing, housewares, fine china. They do have a very small selection of men's clothing. However, if you don't like bargain hunting and spending a lot of time sorting through stuff, Eco thrift kind of drops out of the race here. Sure you can find bargains, but it's so much easier at the other shops. They are better organized, and to be honest much cleaner. My allergies didn't go off like a fire alarm at any of the other shops. Eco thrift seems like it has a sale going all the time. You just have to be aware of what's on sale. Happy bargain hunting. A treasure trove of nostalgia, with a big store full of diamonds in the rough waiting for a new owner. Prices can be pretty darn high for used crap, sometimes bordering on ridiculous compared to the item new, but they run a discount 25-75% off, based on the three different color tags of the day. Fast, self checkout, plenty of employees on hand to help. This is one of the last standing Thrift stores around, and I usually walk out with some old gem! You can spend a good deal of time at this place because there's just so much stuff! The racks are generally quite packed to the brim so you definitely need to do some hunting. As others have mentioned, some of the items here can be very well priced to insanely priced for no reason. Definitely need to dig because I've found some gems here. Recently thrifted a 100% cotton American flag sweater a la Ralph Lauren and a 100% cashmere black sweater for $10 for both. Was such a steal but as always can be hit or miss! I went by there today to donate clothes . It Smells extremely bad when you walk in , unbearable smell . Walked in saw some workers with masks already on and walked back out to my car . I Had to wear a mask that almost didn't help . Company needs to seriously look into health conditions in that store . Workers and people can get really sick from that extremely bad smell . The place is big there's people everywhere it's a little overwhelming. I notice that name brand items are over priced but if you are looking for something that is not name brand then the prices are really good. Things are somewhat in order but you really have to look. The plan was to make a stop at some stores across the street, but then I spotted this place, and since I was already on its same side of the street, decided to check them out first prior to doing planned errands. Despite the cold and windy afternoon, there was a number of people patiently in line for entry. (Limitations due to pandemic protocols, of course.) It didn't take long to get in (15, no more than 20 minutes, maybe?) The place is pretty huge and gave off a warehouse-vibe type. All items are organized by category from shoes to household appliances to kitchenware and everything else in between. Unfortunately, I didn't really see anything that piqued my interest simply because I got much too distracted with the amount of people in the store. Granted, they were limiting the number of people going in, it still felt like way too many. Every aisle I went through had at least 4-5 people already browsing through stuff. Social distancing was nearly impossible. I'm not claustrophobic or anything, but with this deadly pandemic ravaging through the state, the indoor crowding made me feel uneasy. This is a great location. The parking lot is nice and easy to find and there are plenty of spaces to park at. There is no sign outside that says echo thrift but it is the store. Once you walk in. A basket in the store shopping. Make sure you pay attention to the colors once you walk in the door so you know if something is 25% off 50% off or 75% off. And then you start shopping everything is sized correctly and in the correct size location as well. Check out was very easy since it is self check out. They were very helpful and I will takeoff the left prevention tags off for you as well they have bags when you get to go customer service is pretty good there read more

Really impressed with the selections, really convenient, off of Redwood Street, across from Seafood City. My first time going there, and my boys found some really cool vintage items. When you enter, you will see the Men sections on the left side of the store, kids and women in the middle, and shoe racks in the middle of the store. You will see one pair out on display, you just bring it to checkout, and they will get the other pair behind the counter. It is self checkout- you scan your items first, and if they have a anti-stolen device on your clothing-they will take it off for you at self checkout. So pretty much easy to shop with lots of parking! We will be back! read more

If I could give zero stars for this location I would. Like many this was my go to thrift shop in the area but I've noticed prices increasing... maybe it's because of the state of the economy, resellers upping the price, who knows. Though, it wasn't until a recent visit that I was finally done with this store. My little brother and cousin were mistreated and disrespected for simply going back inside to ask to remove a security tag from a clothing item. Their problem with fulfilling this simple request was that they accused him of tampering with the tag... The thing is he had found that clothing item with that same exact tag the moment he picked it from the rack. The security guard didn't give him a chance to speak and explain, he was immediately banned from the store. I get why they have policies and protocols pertaining to stealing but can't management do something about better monitoring the actual thieves, especially before customers choose to purchase clothes with already tampered tags? That honestly could've literally been anyone who picked that jacket and that person (in this case a literal kid) would instantly be forever banned lol. In short, if my little cousin wanted to steal a jacket by tampering its price tag... why in hell would he go back to the store to ask them to take off the security tag? Do better. So if you want to rummage through overpriced second hand clothing, be wrongly accused of stealing and finally get banned... this is the perfect place. read more

I recently bought a purse backpack at this location. I'm not happy about it either. I feel like going in here and saying something. Like for real. For one I a purse backpack and it was really cute. When I was using my purse backpack I noticed that it was broke. Meaning that the stitching on the purse backpack had holes in it and also the strap kept coming off my shoulder. First of all there should not be anything on the floor that is broken, has holes in it, or if the strap on a purse keeps coming off your shoulder should not be sold at a thrift store. This used to be my most favorite thrift shop. I have spent tons of money here and found many wonderful things. However, the new owner's business plan is going to sink this store and I'm sad about this. They have decided to take out half the product from the store to give customers "room to shop". Not only is half the store empty, but prices have at least double, in some case way more. The workers are very nice but they are getting screwed over too. They are not allowed to shop at the store at all and neither are their family. I'm sure people will still come here, it's just sad to see something that was a gem in this city be run in to the ground. I've Been going back and forth about leaving this review because I like this store but it's better for my mental so here it goes..... I tend to shop here a lot and I've seen many situations regarding staff being rude to customers and constantly watch one race more then other (will not name any race in this review) but it's always one guy that stands buy the door that removes the sensors (an older gentleman) that I've seen numerous times throw customers items while he's checking them shove bags and clothes at people telling them to walk back through and just walks off after he is done I believe he is a supervisor not completely sure The other day there was an incident with three lady's where he got into an argument regarding some items that where not scanned he rudely approached one of them and stated you didn't scan those items I need to check your bag and grabbed the bag away more shouting was done and security and another supervisor had to step in while security took one of the lady's outside while the supervisor calmly took care of the situation even tho the gentleman kept making the situation worse This isn't the first time I have been in with him profiling someone or being rude I've also heard many of other people complain amongst their party on how rude he is I am actually surprised that Management has not done anything about him yet because if he is a supervisor his customer service skill are below any company standards I rarely ever see him doing more then just standing at the door and if it's a situation where he he called he is always calling for another supervisor to handle the situation it makes me wonder if the reason why he hasn't been force to step down is because of looking out for one another cause I don't see too many other races in the store maybe two black, three white, and one Hispanic hopefully management will take some kind of action towards him but I'm really doubtful read more
