On saturday, we were in the area, so went to this store location, for a change. This store is much bigger than the regular go-to store we go to, on Decatur. I was looking at the semi-precious beads (left side, after the stickers and scrap booking supplies), while my husband looked at the picture frame selection. I went to the end caps (inside, towards the wall) and discovered the clearance sections. Well, I found some contenders, so I was here a while. I found lots of jolee's jewels- swarovski beads packages marked down to $1.99 and $2.99, regularly $4.99! I also found some natural red coral beads @ $1.99. We also went to the sticker section to check out the Hawaii stickers, also by Jolee's, for $4.99. I tried using my 40% single item coupon, but learned that the stickers were on sale, too. So I passed it along to the next customer in line (would rather someone use it than for it to go to waste). All in all, I was pleased with the bead selection. What I love about Michael's beads (compared to Jo-Ann's), is that the beads are categorized, which makes it easier to find what you are looking for (ie. natural (wood, pearls), glass (manmade), semi-precious, crystal, etc.). There were quite a few customers here and the checkout line was long, but quickly dispersed, after another cashier came to help out. There is a slightly different selection here, this store is much bigger, and it is newer, too. I like it. If we are in the area, will need to check this place out again, definitely. read more

Geeez felt like the entire staff was having a bad day, they all seemed very rushed and pushy when it was pretty slow. Especially the person who was ringing people up and the purple haired woman. Definitely the most grumpiest employees I've encountered. I do have to give the guy with a skull mask credit tho. He was the only one who approached me and asked me if I was doing okay, and made the effort to help me. So thank you to whoever you are, I didn't catch his name. read more

Michaels - Long line at Michaels sucks - Art Supplies Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

This holiday season like a ton of other festive minded people I found myself in Michaels many times. Obviously due to the time of year this place was packed but due to its location right of Stephanie there was ample parking. Once inside this is what I noticed 1. A good amount of staff roaming the store eager to help. One person walked me all the way to the item I was looking for as it was quite obscure check out was also a breeze they are very efficient. 2. Selection and quality. Had everything I needed and even a few things I didn't know I needed. Tried to concentrate on only my needs but all the shiny objects caught my attention. Every thing was also of good quality. 3. Prices. Every item I purchased was either reasonably priced, on sale or had a coupon. So I was very happy. 4. Rewards program. I signed up and they're very good at emailing you amazing coupons which I've used. I've always been a fan of Michaels in the past and will continue to support them when I'm in an "arts and crafty" mood read more

I needed to have a piece of artwork custom framed. After waiting about ten minutes for anyone to assist, David (?) finally graced us with his presence. I say this because that's how it felt; it was if he had better things to do. He was extremely condescending and not helpful in the least. Needless to say, we took our business elsewhere. Very disappointing experience. read more

We went here to get some needed art supplies. This store has a much larger selection than other Michael's with multiple price points for an item. I also got a clearance orange butterfly hair/clothes clip for fall/halloween by happenstance. This store could be hours of fun searching for stuff depending.... read more

Why oh why can't they open more than one register? I realize I put myself through torture when it's time to check out. The line is long and slow every time. The cashiers do not seem to ever be happy with a smile. They have a big selection here for my scrapbooking. Something is always on sale which is why I keep coming back. It's pretty well organized and stocked. Maybe one day I'll be pleasantly surprised with a happy greeting but I won't hold my breath. read more

I went here yesterday when it was pouring rain and we walked in and everyone was very friendly. While walking through the aisle, we found dog poop! A lady came in with her dog and boom. Anyways we told the staff and while they got the cleaner and towels, we continued walking, people stepping on it and us letting them know they just stepped on poo. But my boy JOSEPH CLEAN IT! Just a shoutout to joseph for cleaning it, especially when it wasn't your pet. Staff deserves a raise read more

I love coming to this Michaels whenever I'm doing any sort of project. They have everything you need and the store is well organized. Today I went in to this location for the first time and the sales associate, Stephanie, was very helpful and patient while answering any questions I had about a DIY project I was trying to complete for my upcoming wedding. It was customer appreciation day and they had cupcakes out by the enterance for the customers to grab as they were coming through the door. Stephanie approached me as I was picking up some other items to hand me a gift card for customer appreciation day! I was thrilled and used it right away for my purchase :) I was also able to use a 25% off coupon off my entire purchase. I will most definitely be paying this store another visit. read more

Michaels - Big flower selection! - Art Supplies Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

Always find what I'm looking for. Love crafts and any DIY activity. This is like a super store!

I know I'm spoiled when it comes to Michaels because of the new, spacious one with employees who gave a damn we had close by us on the west side of LA. Now that I've returned to living in Boulder City full time the one most easily accessible is on Stephanie. There was one employee on the floor that I asked where they kept hand soap and she gave me an aisle number as I told her that the restroom did not have ANY soap in it. She totally did not care and simply walked away as I went in search of what she said was on aisle 31, where it was not. My plan was to get some soap and return to the restroom and wash my hands. It was nowhere to be found nor was she any longer. As I checked out I told the young woman at the register about the nasty bathroom and no soap also. Bottom line...handicap stall had the roll of toilet paper laying on the floor (I picked it up out of concern for others). Not a single working soap dispenser, no bottle of liquid or even a bar anywhere. This is so gross as employees can only rinse with cold water, no hot and no soap. Needless to say, my last trip to this Michaels. read more

Meh. My Mom and I are doing a crafty project this holiday season and we set out for Michael's looking for an item we needed (actually 2 items). Somehow, I forgot where the store was located and we ended up at a nearby competitor. I've always loved Michael's, but after experiencing the other store, I've decided this will no longer be my go-to store for craft stuff. The store was disorganized and felt cramped. The person at the "customer service" desk was quite clueless and pretty rude. She talked down to us and wasn't very helpful. I witnessed her do the same to the person asking a question in front of us as well. We were in and out of the store in less than 5 minutes. Not sure I'll be back, especially after receiving such great service (and deals) at the other store. read more

I visited Michaels in Henderson on July, 1, 2018, and I could not locate an employee on the floor. The checkers were busy. So, I called the store while standing near the check-out line. A checker answered the phone. I explained where I was standing and I needed assistance. I was told nobody was available. I asked to speak to the manager and I was told that she was to busy to assist me. read more

From Burning Man to EDC I have a lot of projects that I'm always working on. And I've become quite familiar with the various national chain craft stores that are close to Sunset and Stephanie in Henderson. Michaels is a place I'll go to...but being honest it's usually my 3rd choice. This particular location is one of the larger Michael's stores I've been in. But that being said I've found their product mix be lacking for the type of stuff I need. If you want kids crafts and knick knacks to decorate yourself this is a great store. But if your one of those people who works on projects like you'll find in Maker Magazine or are embellishing the latest project you ordered from Adafruit you'll likely leave here shaking your head at the prices or leaving empty handed because they didn't carry what you wanted. Pricing:: I typically find their competition has better pricing on almost every item I'm looking for and that's before coupons or app deals kick in. Store Layout: When I walk down an aisle at Michaels I feel the shelves are too tall and too packed. They have stuff stacked up so high that in places you can't see across the store. There are some sections where it looks like a group of teenagers were in a hurry to get out the door and they just tossed the inventory into whatever space they could find for it on their way out. And there are sections where those tall shelves or racks have too many empty spaces because someone can't seem to order products back in. Customer Service: Well the people working the registers know how to smile and take your money. If you need much more than that...good luck. Michaels does carry a few things that I can't find locally anywhere else. But for the most part I find better deals, better service, and better selections to choose from elsewhere. 2 Stars...it's the best I can give them. read more

I ordered 2 items curbside pickup. When I arrived, I called. A rude lady picked up named eileen and said it takes an hour to process, which was stated no where else. She has an incredibly rude attitude. I proceeded to wait over an hour in the parking lot and still had not gotten an email it was ready. A huge waste of time for 2 items. Had I known of the horrible service I wouldn't have ordered. Clearly it wasn't all her fault. The email should have stated how long it was going to take. The attitude was inexcusable. read more

It's takes a lot for a business to earn a 1 star and I have this place multiple chances to earn a higher rating and unfortunately they didn't come through. This store started off on the wrong foot as they never had the items I needed in stock, but then, they introduced bulk ordering which as an added bonus offered a discount when you ordered a high enough quantity. I was more excited about bulk ordering so I could purchase large quantities to limit the amount of trips I made here since there were several products I needed a lot of. Recently, Michaels removed the bulk ordering process in store, which made me happy that it would now be via online, which is awesome - less gas and less time, probably much more convenient since I'm pretty computer savvy ... Wrong! This new system doesn't allow all items from the store to be purchased so 20 minutes on the phone I finally find this out and they direct me back to the store. I called the store and spoke to the manager on duty that remembers me and the amount of money I spend with them and said he would look into it with corporate and get back to me. It's now been over 3 weeks without a call back from him. When I called to check in a manager that was a lady on duty had not offered any help to my situation, was short and rude over the phone and didn't care to direct me to get help at all. Went back to michaels today to get a few items I needed and to my surprise ... They were out of stock! This place not only has terrible customer service, but can't keep inventory up. Went to Hobby Lobby and not only did they have cheaper prices they had plenty in stock. Looks like Hobby Lobby earned all my money as a new customer. Big loss to Michaels. Hope they can get their act together. read more

Jolena rocks and the really nice manager is awesome too (but I did not get her name)! Thank you for such excellent service! read more

Drove all the way here from Kingman (2 hour drive) for their floral sale. After spending two hours picking out flowers for my wedding centerpieces we went to check out. Only to be told that the flowers we chose weren't 50% off like the sign above them said they were. David, the cashier, quite a rude man. He just kept saying we were wrong and that they weren't on sale just the ones around these that we chose. So, the ones we chose were In the wrong spot. I came here to have posters and pictures framed. I was a little shocked by the prices. Not that they were higher than anyone else it was just a lot more than I was hoping to spend. The person that helped me was very helpful and knowledgeable. I had 5 items and they told me they would be ready on the 20th and they called me on the 16th t tell me they were ready. The Michael's store on stephanie st sucks.I tried to order something for curbside pickup because the stores website says that curbside pickup was available but when I got to the checkout that option wasn't available.Than I get a message next to the store icon that said temporarily closed, which apparently just means closed according to them. So,how can you advertise curbside pickup at your store,if your store has been closed the whole time?False advertising 100%.I will also add that in the few times I have had to go there for a specific item, there store is eithier low on stock or it's difficult to find and for some reason there's only been 1 cashier anytime I've been there. The store is pretty and organized most of the time, but the customer service sucks and with this false advertising of their alleged curbside pickup not being true they have lost me as a customer and I will order my bead making supplies from Joanne's (their nextdoor competitor)Or fire mountain gems.com where I can buy quality items in bulk for cheap.I'd be much happier to support a small family owned online buisness who cares about their customers rather than a greedy corporate giant like Michael's. They have raised their prices over the years but the quality and service has declined so much that I refuse to give them one more cent of my money. They dont deserve it. read more

If I could give a no star I would! My experience with the cashier by the name of Erika was extreme rude and unprofessional. Great store awesome store manager. Very helpful I would recommend this Michaels .. very clean a d organize very helpful employees

Poor customer service by the lone young man at the frames dept on the mar 7 2016. We had gone back to the same dept as we experienced excellent customer service from a more older gentleman who went out of his way to assist customers a few weeks back. The young man at the frame section today rudely remarked that the frames were marked with the correct prices. I had gone twice to him for a price check and would have even taken him to show that there were no prices on the shelves were the frames were located. Don't even bother to work there if you are irritated when asked to price check items. read more

From time to time I get into a hobby that will keep my interest for a little while. Most recently, it is jewelry making. Gentleman's accessory tend to be bland and cookie cutter, so the best remedy is to make your own. The act of sitting down and working on something is also good for the mind. It provides time to just sit back and concentrate on your hand/eye dexterity. Mine are as efficient as a toddler's, but that does not deter me from trying. Look in the local newspapers or mail for Michael's 40%-50% off coupons. Twine, wire, beads, clasps, and other jewelry equipment are inexpensive. It just takes some time to weed through everything. read more

This location is suffering a little bit. For a store that offers things to make arts and crafts, it looks more like Costco. The quality of the items is a little sub par in general, but for a place that offers general supplies, it's not bad either. You can easily find better art supplies for a better price via the internet. However, the staff seems really friendly. read more

I usually love this Michaels and I wanted to use my 50% off coupon, but they were so rude today. Wanted to do the least bit possible for the customer. I asked an older grey haired lady if I could ask her a question and she never acknowledged me. She kept doing her price changes. I got got naked (not literally) paintings and pictures all over the place without frames to protect and accentuate them. The cost of custom framing just plain sucks... I had a got to custom framer that would kick down a 10% discount and for some strange reason I thought I was getting a deal. My loyalty to support local business used against me. Michaels offers discounts on a much more grandiose scale. I thought I would do some online research in an effort to find coupons of which there are plenty to find. Michaels also offers an app which offers coupons. I did not get the app and texted a coup to my phone. Upon arrival I was happy to find that all off the frames were discounted on the shelves most at 40% off! As for Michaels it's self...It is a art project paradise with everything from fake flowers to paints to satisfy your crafting needs. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with Michaels. I am not into crafting, but over the last few months I've had to frame around 200 pieces of artwork, making Michaels a necessary evil. On the plus side, you are almost always guaranteed that no matter what your framing need is, Michaels IS going to have what you are looking for, period. In addition to that, almost everything in the frame department is generally either 40%-50% off, or buy one-get one, etc....so the prices which are normally high, are usually reduced to normal, or at least reasonable. The downside is that you need to plan for extra time, for a couple of reasons..... First, they are always understaffed. So while there may be 6 registers, I've enever seen more that 1 or 2 open, so that usually slows the process down considerably if there are a few people in line. Secondly, and maybe it's me, but it seems that almost every time I go, at least one of my purchases doesn't ring up at the sale price, causing someone to have to go look. Which when you are short-staffed to begin with, can be exhausting. So in short, Michaels gets a 3. Not bad, but not great. read more

Customer service wasn't that great and the store was a train wreck. Took me 15 minutes to find someone to pick up my order.

This was my first time at this particular Michaels. I was getting t-shirt, hats, and bows with a friend to decorate for a festival we are going to...of course we would need some help! We were searching for sizes and asked one of the workers simply if they had any in the back. She was rude and basically shrugged her shoulders and ignored us. We asked another worker who helped us find more sizes elsewhere in the store, thankfully there are still some nice people!! When we were also trying to find more bows a worker was unfriendly and unhelpful. They didn't have some of the exact stuff that we needed because she get smaller shipments, so said one of the workers. The cashier was a delight and allowed us to apply a coupon that has a specific time of day although it wasn't that time yet! I am very irritated about my most recent trip to Michael's. I am a frequent craft store shopper, and have been a customer at this location for some time. So you will understand my irritation when after shopping for almost 2 hours and filling a cart with everything from paint to picture frames, I was told that there is a 20% off sale tomorrow... The catch is that I either had to forgo the discount and purchase my things today, or leave my full cart and come back tomorrow. I requested that they hold my things until they open tomorrow so that I can adhere to their policy of not offering a discount on previously purchased items. I was told that they were unwilling to do that. My irritation is not at their policy exactly, which is not very customer focused or accommodating, but more with the staff. Had I been informed of their 20% sale when I entered the store, I would have certainly forgone today's trip and come tomorrow to better spend my 2 hours of browsing and shopping time. Due to the total dollar amount (over $100) that I was planning to spend, the discount is significant... Needless to say I left my full cart and plan to stop by tomorrow. Since I have no desire to spend the same amount of time again, I will most likely scale down and get the necessities. Not only did they miss out on a high dollar sale, but they have lost a customer as well, I will be going to the one on eastern instead. It's the principal and the lack of customer service. read more

I rushed to Michaels today because something I wanted was on sale and I read at the last minute that it was only on sale for today. I pulled up to the Michaels at 8:57 and there was an employee guarding the door and letting customers out. I walked up at 8:58 and the employee started shaking her head at me and then said they were closed. I told her I only needed one thing from the marquee isle 2-3 isles from the checkout stands. She used her walkie talkie to ask her manager if she could let me in and she said no. It was 8:59, and I know it was almost closing time, but I never do that and I really only needed one thing that was close to the registers. It wouldn't have delayed them had I been able to just run in and grabbed it, heck, if no one was at the door I would have come in and gone out by 9! Terrible customer service!
