My husband sent me to BoxLunch to get a specific thing they were advertising on their Instagram page. I was worried about it at first because I thought it may be busy or I'd get the wrong thing. Thankfully, there was no crazy line or anything and the people working in the store were nice enough to help me find what I was looking for right away and within 5 min, I was out with what my husband needed. I appreciated the customer service. The store is organized well and is easy to peruse. They have quite the variety of items and it's all laid out pretty easy to see. The pricing is pretty standard and I didn't see a huge gross markup on items, especially for the stuff my husband was trying to get (he tells me that stores tend to go much higher than the MSRP on these items because they can, which is messed up.) read more

This is a unique gift and fan store for those looking for Disney or anime merchandise. They have a constant rotation of items from Harry Potter, to Totoro, to Snoopy items. Limited in variety of sizes for shirts so be mindful of sizing. Lots of keychains and lanyards. I was able to find a cool Tron sweater and would check out again if I needed a gift. Prices are not cheap, but I guess because you are not getting knock offs. Service is friendly, but you can't tell who works there and those who are just shopping. They kinda blend right in. Checked out BoxLunch at the Galleria in search of some new sweatshirts for my upcoming trip to Europe with my family (one place we're going to is an island in Scotland, where it'll be a little chilly). While I was only looking for sweatshirts, this store definitely bought out the nostalgia in me. BoxLunch, located next door to Victoria's Secret on the second floor, makes a different in donating to charity. As their slogan is "Get Some. Give Back", for every $10 spent here, they donate to Feeding America, where they provide a meal to a person in need. They have many pop culture items here, ranging from Peanuts to Disney to SpongeBob to Star Wars. The second that I stepped into this store, my eye caught a really cute Star Wars sweatshirt (coincidentally, I bought this the day after Star Wars Day). It has a picture of a bubble tea cup with the text "Lord Vader's Blue Milk Bubble Tea". I ended up buying this in a medium and I'm currently wearing it as I write this review. The cashier that rang up my order told me that I could get a 10% discount on my order if I signed up for their loyalty program, which I kindly accepted. Because of this, I got a nice deal on this sweatshirt and I'm proud of it. Even though summer is around the corner, I can't wait to wear this on my trip and when it starts getting cooler once summer is over. It looks really good on me! Came in to exchange my two shirts that I bought at the meadows mall yesterday because they didn't fit. Mind you one was clearance and one full price and Pedro the store manager refused to exchange them for anything, mind you I dropped 400$ yesterday for my birthday and wanted to spend another 100$ today. Called the meadows mall and they were HAPPY to help. Even called back and spoke to the lovely (and I use that term loosely) Jessica who told me I was aggressive on the phone and to calm down when telling her that it might be in their best interests to help a customer out instead of being a dick. My 13 year old daughter went into this store with her friends, one of her friends he ended up buying a $30 plushy. His mom got upset for buying an expensive toy, he went to return it. The heavy set long haired employee at the register said, "oh sorry final sale," my daughters friend said, "your did not say that." Someone else said it's like a tamer version of Hot Topic or Spencer's, and I'm inclined to agree. It's also a well-lit store. They've got apparel, snacks, toys, accessories, and other odds and ends. They even have a bath and beauty section, and a good selection of clearance/sale items. They also have various promotions similar to Hot Topic's Hot Cash, such as spend $30 and get $15 back/off your next purchase. One thing I really like about shopping here is that for every $10 you spend, they will provide a meal secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks. Phenomenal! I thought this place was actually better than Hot Topic! There was much more fan-based items they had like Harry Potter, Sailor Moon, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and so forth. They even had items catered to Studio Ghibli movies and it isn't every day you see that! Their prices are a bit more higher but I definitely deem it as worth it. I got a Sailor Moon shirt and that was about a year ago. The quality of the shirt is one of the softest shirts I own and to this day it remains the same texture and I couldn't be more happy about it! The service was horrible! I was not greeted when I came in the store. When I came to pick up an item that I had ordered online I was told they had opened my package and put it on the floor to be sold. I was extremely upset to be told if I still wanted my items they could see if they had them in stock and that I could pay a higher price than what I had already been charged for the items. I was never called or emailed that my items came in the store and today they told me they have a 7-day hold policy. Their app told me it had shipped but not that it arrived. Not once did either associate apologize or even try to help me. I've been a loyal customer of this store since they opened in the mall. I have never been so upset with customer service. I will not go back to this store after this encounter, I won't be ordering from their online site either because of their poor customer service! read more

I ordered a couple of items online and had it delivered to the store. I checked my account and seen that the item had been shipped a couple of days prior so I went to the store to pick it up. I got to the store and they said that they didn't have the items and that it may be in the back waiting for someone to pull it. They said that they would send me an email or call me when it was in. I waited 2 weeks and my wife went in when she was at the mall and they said that they didn't have it. They told her to call customer service. I called customer service and I was told that the item shipped but they didn't have tracking so it was lost. Sorry! refunded my money but wasted my time. I could have gone out and found another item while I was waiting. As I am writing this I noticed someone else had the same problem a couple of days ago. I bet my items came in and went right to the floor. I wouldn't have anything shipped there, spend the extra money and have it shipped to your house. read more
