    Sharpie haven!

I went on Facebook asking the 9th Island connection group if there was a Fisher Hawaii type place here in Vegas and someone suggested Blick. So for those of you who don't know what a Fisher Hawaii is... it's a huge warehouse with tons of paper/art/school supplies at a decent to even low prices. So I needed some sharpies and couldn't wait for Amazon to deliver. I also wanted to pick the colors I wanted and the quality needed. So I was super excited when Blick had what I needed. Omgosh they had so many colors! I love color pencils and they had it all! I wanted to bring the whole selection home with me. The store was nice and bright, also very clean and organized. The workers were friendly and didn't hover so that was nice. The cashier explained to me their rewards card and I signed up. At the register they have some candies and I saw the sour Razzles and had to grab one. Omgosh, that's childhood memories right there in fruity form. Never had the sour ones so I was happy to try them out. I am very happy I found this place and it wasn't very far from my apartment. I'll be back for more of my marker needs in the future.

my sister is an art major and used to attend the csn campus across the street and needed some new supplies for some pieces she has coming up. Since Christmas is around the corner I decided to take her on a little shopping spree because this is her go to place! This was my first time here and they also allow pets!!! So I was happy I could bring my baby with me. The employees were so sweet and even though my little dog was getting a little upset they didn't kick me out hahaha. They had sooo many art supplies here (professional) that you cannot find anywhere else in the valley. I really wish they had more locations because I would come here more often! But it's on the other side of town from me. They had many deals going on and even cute little stocking stuffers for the holidays!

Blick is awesome! The store is well laid out and has tons of supplies. Whatever your art project, they have you covered. I actually went in to get some model railroading supplies. They have a nice selection of Woodland Scenics materials that will help you calm your mind and hobby on!

Large store with tons of supplies very neatly organized. Cute specific items mostly painting. I was looking for something but they didn't carry it.

It's hard not to be a fan of Blick- they have nearly every conceivable art supply, from preschool paint kits (left wall) to professional-quality easels and design desks (back wall), and almost everything in between. The sheer number of oil paint, acrylic paint, and watercolor options is almost overwhelming. Favorite items here are Modpodge (available for a price comparable to what I've found online) and various gift items (journals, make your own doll kits, various books). I would love to see them add to their scrapbooking section, but other than that, the only item I had difficulty locating was glitter. Service was cheerful and upbeat, but the store is organized in such a way that you don't typically need assistance. Bonus points for the community art project outside during Grand Opening week!

Seemed nice enough but the music was too loud. Had to leave so James Taylor would stop yelling at me. I will visit a quieter art store where I can think about what I buy rather than hurriedly making poor choices just to escape the loud music. Or I'll just purchase from Amazon. Found it!

Semikolon petit voyage - good stuff. The right side has a pencil holder ( not shown )

Wickedly expensive, but killer inventory and quality goods. Not the cheap stuff. Quality costs.

Do they sell craft vinyl and if so, what is the selection like?

There is a very limited supply of craft vinyl, such as Cricut.

I did have to ask for help to find a few things and I was pleased that they had what I was looking for. The prices are pretty good for how the climate is today. The store was very neat and clean. *Now this is where I went from looking to give five stars. How well the first two staffer's that were stocking up the items in the middle of the sales floor; gave awesome customer service to me. The young lady walked me to the area of which I was inquiring about. She didn't just point like some store employees tend to seemingly do. As I walked up to the front to check out there was a not so vibrant person behind the register. Why do I always tend to run into Sour puss faces as of recent? I'm not sure but this young person was so dry every question I asked it was like she was programmed to say, Unfortunately. She used this word 5x's in a short span of 3 minutes of me making my transition. I can't remember her name and maybe that's for the best but she was giving Sloth vibes and as if she'd learned a new 13 letter word from Wikipedia or Google. I was looking at her face to see if was a bot or something smh. I just don't understand Why normal behavior is becoming EXTINCT. I ended up switching the word and when I asked her could I pay with cash? She replied, Yes. Of course I was cynical and replied by saying, it's Fortunate that I have cash on me today. She just looked as if she needed to be turned back on or greased (like the Tin-Man ) from The Wizard of Oz movie. I just can't with the lack of social skills that are being displayed by a lot of these young people. Jobs Never would've hired me if I had a Lackluster personality back in my day. Now it's like What The Phuck Ever NO BODY really cares any way. Just know, I still do and I'll keep addressing and giving my two cents wherever my tax paying coins are being used.

I'll start with the customer service, because that was honestly the biggest issue for me…read more The woman helping us (I believe the owner) came across very fake and a bit rude. She would interrupt conversations my boyfriend and I were having if she overheard something, even though we weren't talking to her. It felt intrusive and awkward. At one point my boyfriend was just standing there while I was shopping and she told him he could go stand outside if he was tired -- but it was 90° outside. That just felt unnecessarily rude. It also felt like she was following me around the store the entire time, which made the whole shopping experience uncomfortable. Another thing worth mentioning is the store itself felt pretty warm, like the air conditioning wasn't running very strong. Unfortunately there was also noticeable body odor when checking out, and with the warmth of the store it made that interaction pretty unpleasant. Now as for the store itself. It's actually a large space, but it feels small because everything is packed in and the aisles are very narrow. It's definitely a tight store to walk through. They don't necessarily have a huge amount of inventory, but they do have a wide variety of items. If you're a scrapbooker, junk journaler, or paper crafter, you'll probably find something useful. One thing I noticed is they carry a lot of die cuts that I don't usually see in other stores. They also carry Vegas-themed scrapbook items, including Golden Knights themed paper and supplies, which could be useful if you're documenting a Vegas trip. I personally went looking for Toy Story paper and they didn't have it, but I did end up buying some pretty Prima paper sheets that were about $1-$2 each. Pricing overall felt high compared to other places. For example, one of the journals she was selling for $32 is the same one I've seen on Amazon for about $19.99, and Thickers were $9.99. I understand small stores sometimes charge more, but the price difference was noticeable. She also mentioned a mini album class for $275, which honestly surprised me and she proceeded to close it as I was thumbing through it I've been to so many scrapbooking and junk journal events in California and Nevada, so I've seen a lot of class pricing, and that felt extremely high, especially when the sample shows it's falling apart. They do hold crops in a back room, but from what I could see the tables are extremely close together -- closer than any crop setup I've personally experienced. Overall, the store does offer a good variety of supplies, but between the pricing and the customer service, I personally wouldn't go back unless I really needed something in a pinch. Otherwise I'd rather just go to Michael's, Hobby Lobby, a crop vendor, or order online. After visiting, I understand why several women I've met at crops say they usually avoid this store.

The two sales associates Kandy and Julia were very kind and attentive, but gave us space and time to shop around the store. My mom and I went there about 30 minutes before closing and we did not feel rushed at all (although I recommend to give yourself more time because there is a ton to see!) Will certainly be coming back!
