I debated canceling, but decided to just take the drive and honestly, I'm glad I did. This Michaels location was super clean, well organized, and fully stocked. Everything looked neat and easy to find, which I really appreciate when I'm on a mission and don't want to wander around forever. The shelves were full, seasonal items were displayed beautifully, and nothing felt picked over. Customer service was great...friendly, welcoming, and efficient at the pickup counter. I was in and out quickly, which made the 30 min. drive feel worth it. There's also plenty of parking, and it's conveniently located near other name brand stores in the shopping center, so you can easily knock out a few errands in one trip. Overall, a smooth experience from online ordering to pickup. I'd definitely come back to this location again.

I came in today to pick it up and was told the piece had been there over a month, and because no one picked it up, they donated it. No call, no text, no email, no warning before it was given away. The only thing offered was a credit toward painting a new piece. Not a refund of the sitting fee. Not the original piece back. Just a credit, after I drove a round trip for nothing and my daughter walked out with no gift for her mom days before Mother's Day. A few things stand out: 1. If the policy is that unclaimed pieces get donated after a month, that needs to be communicated clearly at checkout and a notification needs to actually go out before the piece is given away. 2. A handmade gift from a child to her mother isn't replaceable with a store credit. The whole point was that she made it.

Sadly, that is not why many of us go to quilt shops. Quilting and art is foundationally built on community. This shop is cold, no one talks to you, or offers to help. I am the daughter of a quilt shop owner. I help out when I can and we greet every customer and offer to help with color matching or a second opinion if the customer would like. There was none of that. In fact, I was matching colors to a picture for a project in view of the people standing at the cutting table with not a word. I also went to ask if they had more greens because they were pulling online orders and they snapped at me. When I showed her I could see they had some she went oh I didn't know they were pulling orders. So, it is cold and not helpful. I will also say I overheard someone with I am assuming a new employee as she was showing her where things are in the store. Then she said yeah I don't work here, I am just here a lot. I was baffled why she was being nicer than the 3 people standing at the cutting table. Overall I almost walked out, but I did find some good deals. I don't know, I have heard that LQS can be unfriendly and ignore particularly younger sewists and I was confused. I now know what that is like. And I feel sad that this store has their platform to bring in new sewists and then disappoint and discourage them from being involved in the community. Edit: side note, order a little extra fabric as they cut right on the line and sometimes the cut is uneven. Very similar to Joann cutting .

After having to argue with these vendors - facing screaming, wall banging and violent threats, a refund was awarded to our account by them. Weeks later these vendors (having written down my card info without my knowledge) created a new charge against my account without my authorization. Thus committing card fraud and theft. Beware of these scammers! Entire issue reorted to our bank and Visa, which has initiated a investigation into this card theft scam that is still underway.

So of course, I decided to use them myself for birthday/graduation flowers as a gift for someone. I got 18 longstem hot pink roses with a beautiful black and gold black ribbon. I looked at a few highly rated florists in town, and Whispers and Honey had a great selection and reasonable prices compared to others in the space, so I decided to go with them. I placed my order mid-morning having easily navigated their website and made my selection. I appreciated the ease of the website, and the follow-up emails they sent with receipts and such. Imagine my surprise when I received a notification just over an hour later that the order had been delivered! Truly the fastest flower service I think I have ever experienced! The friend texted me that they were absolutely beautiful. Given this experience, I would not only recommend them but will definitely use them for future floral needs.
