The Great Wall Bookstore is located in Chinatown Plaza, between Spring Mountain and Arville Street. My family and I were looking for anime figurines, specifically Kimetsu No Yaiba, Zenitsu (Demon Slayer) for a birthday party. Upon looking through some photos on Yelp, we had to stop by the Great Wall Bookstore! Inside the store, there are a wide range of Sanrio merchandise (Hello Kitty), Anime figurines, pillows, pens, books, notebooks, Legos, Studio Ghibli merchandise, and so much more! I could have easily spent several hours looking at all of the items that Great Wall Bookstore had to offer. As we were browsing the store, we did notice several security signs of "You're being recorded." This place has some of my favorite merchandise, Studio Ghibli. There were snow globes of Totoro and even a My Neighbor Totoro Catbus pillow! I had to get it! I plan on coming back for some of the Totoro figurines in the future! We did find several Zenitsu anime figurines and purchased one. We also picked up a Zenitsu lanyard and anime themed pen. There was a lot of One Piece figurines, Naruto, Dragonball Z, and Bleach! You should stop by Great Wall Bookstore if you're looking for anime figurines! It is cluttered and has a lot in stock, so you'll need to spend some time looking through all of the inventory! Overall, we had a wonderful time at Great Wall Bookstore and we'll be back for some Totoro figurines and themed Bento Boxes!

Everything in the store was super cute and a little on the pricy side but overall tons of great items and a wide range of stuff!! I came here around 10 but they hadn't opened doors until 11:30 ish so don't rely on the opening online times!!

Lots of anime figures!! Great for naruto and bleach fans

I love this place!! Lots of well priced anime merch and the cutest stationery. I always get my notebooks for my college classes here. I also find a lot of good anime figures. This place is great if you're a Sanrio, anime, or ghibli fan. I even found a Sasuke Uchiha pen! There definitely is a lot to look at so you might be there shopping for a while. Would definitely recommend coming here if you're in Chinatown :)

So red and Chinese in here

Great Wall Bookstore is located at the Chinatown Mall, next door to No. 1 Boba Tea. I stopped by here after I finished my tea next door. What grabbed my attend was all of the red Chinese lanterns hanging from the ceiling inside the store. Just a sea of red, it peaked my interest, which prompted me to go inside. I was expected to find Chinese newspapers, DVDs, comics (like Old Master Q aka Lou Fu Zi... does anyone remember those comics?). I did see those things inside (well not the Old Master Q comics though) but also Japanese Anime, Sanrio and other cute Asian characters (like Totoro). The prices for all of the cute Asian figurines are pricey, so I didn't purchase anything. There was also a huge section of blank journals for purchase which I thought was interesting. Anyways, this store is definitely messy with stuff piled everywhere and also stacked up on the floor. There is also yellow signs to remind you that you are being filmed and to deter the shoplifters (lol, such an Asian thing to do). A nice store to browse in. May find an unexpected item but it will cost you a pretty penny. If you are already in the Chinatown Mall, doesn't hurt to stop and take a look inside. This store isn't that big so it won't take too much of your time.

Great place for gifts and more! If you are an anime or Sanrio fan you will love this place, it has a lot of figures, keychains, and posters. It also has cute items for notebooks and the price is reasonably fair.

If you like cute Asian doodads, this is the store for you. There were tons of stuffed animals, journals, clocks, figurines, cell phone cases, etc. in this store. It's amazing. I bought this Totoro thermos for $20. If I didn't already have tons of journals, I would have probably picked some here. There were so many of all different shapes and sizes and at reasonable prices too. They had a lot of Sanrio, Totoro, Despicable Me, and Sailor Moon items here, to give you an idea.

I sit on them......... OMG!!!

OMG!!! I just went there for the first time and that was 火!!! (lit) I saw Kanna-chan and Naruto poster at the entrance, I was like "Ooh~ it's gonna be 火!" There is the real meaning of "Little gem in Las Vegas" Im tellin' ya'! I purchased a very, very CUTE pencil case(I dare to bet, it's so cute!!!) 3 little posters of Boku no Hero Academia, Kaneki, and... the deer in One piece( IDK how to spelled his name, chopper???), and one big poster of Violet Evergarden, plus a little masking tapes with a illustration on it( 4 of them) then IDK what it's called but it's used for telling fortune like fortune cookies but in a stick version with Totoro illustration and Chinese sentence said "大声地笑出来,就不那么害怕" I think it's mean laugh out loud? Idk, plus..... Kuroshitsuji post cards, I didn't mean to bought that;-; I just take it with me I forgot to take them out at the last minute! So when I look through my bag I was like..."MOM, did you buy this????" They have all kinds of anime stuff! Also back pack, sling pack with really cool illustration!! It's the best place to find your back to school stuff guys....!!!!!!! It have a very very very CUTE pencil case, pen, eraser, glue, highlighter, notebook, post-it, and etc!!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH, I will definitely come back to this store to purchase 'things' for back to school!!!! RECOMMENDED.

I honestly didn't expect it to be this solid because the bookstore itself feels so elevated, but they absolutely delivered. The café was bustling on a Sunday afternoon, and the smell of fresh coffee hit you right away. I ordered a sugar-free oat milk latte and really enjoyed it. Now the bookstore... it's big, thoughtfully laid out by genre, and packed with options. It feels like an elevated version of Barnes & Noble but with way more personality. The lighting leans a little on the dim side, but it doesn't take away from browsing at all, in fact, it kind of adds to the vibe. There are shelves everywhere plus curated tables throughout, so you'll constantly find something new. They also have the cutest selection of items in glass cases, clips, jewelry, figurines, and other unique finds. Tons of book accessories too, like reading lights and bookmarks. And yes... there's even a bunny living its best life in there, which somehow makes the whole experience even better. It's the kind of place where you can easily spend hours wandering around, finding gifts, or just hanging out. Service was super friendly, and you can tell the staff genuinely enjoys being there, which makes sense, because honestly... who wouldn't?

A book how it breathes life and makes an individual feel happy and alive…read more Our most recent visit here was "just because!" After home schooling the kids for over a decade this was our favorite place to be. Much has changed over the years, but the importance is this. This Barnes and Noble has gotten just better ! The kids area has evolved into something better. Having children with special needs they carry an excellent sensory experience area where an individual can purchase and use as needed for their children. The book selection is designed well. It comes with a reading area for the little ones. Try the book out before you go home. If you're into the manga reads they can order what you don't have, as needed. They have an excellent selection of this genre . It's the twins favorite things to read at the moment. It's a little bit of everything for all sorts of different tastes. The point is you're just reading. If you need your caffeine and a little nook to read your book they have a cafe with coffee and snacks. It's just a place to come and visit and relax. Find a new book and enjoy life. The value for our books has gone up recently but it's still worth the money. Now let's get busy and build more brain power and create something better for all to see . Read and learn the secrets of the world. Let the staff here be your guide.

RIP, mate~ // I have always fancied the solitary aspect of immersing in literary works. It is, however, concurrently delightful to strike up a conversation in an independent bookstore with fellow overzealous ''reading freaks,'' as noted in a reflection one is bound to catch in its chambers. 'twas such a pleasure witnessing Laytart being equally as enraptured as me when he spoke about death, oddities, and literature, hah~ x // When geomagnetic storms ignited luminescent polar auroras and when the lines of magnetic force between Earth and the sun intersected with one another, the center of the "X" spot where the lines met was where a magnetic portal formed: Avantpop Bookstore. Anyhow, if you are ever in Sin City, fire up your rocket's spark igniters and make your way to new land. Quoting Aunt Ida from Female Trouble (1974), ''The world of the heterosexual is a sick and boring life.'' Upholstered with revolutionary scholars, the Beat Generation, Gonzo journalism, political defiance, banned classics, local artists and activists, rare gems, individualistic figures of all sorts, and the filth of John Waters, you are, rest assured, in for a ''Divine,'' queer experience. Parallel to that thought, if you ever synthesize a penchant for somber, witty poetry, luxuriate yourself in some of Avantpop co-owner, Laytart's, written works-best served with a joint in hand. In the course of frolicking around the shelves, you may wonder how much your birth mother despises you, but ahhh, you need not fret for you will be reminded Gaia loathes your guts just as much. When asked to solve for x, the Chris Korda piece that lies before you hints the solution: X = Save the planet; kill yourself. *Whistles Dada in the streets of Boston to the tune of The Smiths' ''Panic on the streets of London.''* At some point, I am quite certain you will start to hear Rod Serling narrate your life. Where has this review even gone? Oh, the places you will go~ x Overall, you will be departing from the shop glowing in the dark, developing an itch you cannot scratch, which forms a gaping hole in your torso, and leaving you to wonder if the intestine emerged before the tapeworm~ x
