American Gods comic adaptation, various issues.
Hawk T.

Crowded but definitely a good selection of both modern and old comics, collectibles, etc. There is literally floor to ceiling merchandise. Some comics were taped to the ceiling when I went in. Downside: aisles are very narrow and you're practically tripping over items as you walk through the building. There is also no AC. Prices are reasonable for a comic shop, but I only bought a couple items as the business is cash only.

Me new found series I'm excited for.

I love this place. They have a HUGE selection of comic books and merch. It's very tight spaces, so be prepared for that- but that's because of how much stuff they have! They don't accept cards, so make sure you bring cash. The staff in there make great recommendations based on what you like. Always friendly. We bring our kids in there and they are always wonderful to them. With repeat customers they will start putting things aside for you so you can easily come and pick up. If you're new into comics, try going on Free Comic Book Day. You can start seeing what your vibe is, and they don't just do the same books everyone else does- they usually have a bigger selection of different genres. Small parking lots, but it near homes so you can just park on the street. Local owner, so I love supporting them and one of my best friends works there so I love supporting her as well. Check them out!

Can you tell where the comic shop is from this pic? Right there!

This is the best unknown comic shop in all of the Vegas Valley. I passed by Velvet Underground on my way back to work one day. It is in the corner of what is a very seedy Strip Mall. Blink and you will miss this treasure trove of Geekdom! Apparently the Velvet Underground is the oldest comic book store in all of Las Vegas, and stepping into the store brings you back, way back to the 1970's. It really is a throwback to the time! It has not been redecorated since that era, and I love it for that. You can spend a lot of time here just perusing what seems like endless amounts of long & short boxes of comics, all randomly placed with toys and memorabilia of all kinds...EVERYWHERE. Don't go here if you like alphabetized and organized, it will drive you crazy! But oh yes, owner-operator Steve Riddle (aka 'The Riddler') knows where everything is located in his slice of heaven and has a mind like a steel trap when locating anything from a new title to something more obscure for you. Ask...and he will tell! Velvet Underground is where I go when I can't get my hands on that latest issue of Walking Dead because I forgot to order it. Steve will usually have something for me when I do need it, or will get it for me if I do not. Great guy, Steve. Been in the business for years and yet not many folks in the LV comic business talk about him much. They consider him 'odd'. But spend some time with the guy shootin' the $hi+ and become a regular, he will treat you well. Who cares about odd anyway? The most interesting people I've ever met have been just a little bit off their rockers. Normal is all relative these days. Velvet Underground is Steve's baby, he is there constantly almost all day, every day. It's his haven, almost another home. If you have the courage to peruse his shop (watch out for falling merchandise...ha ha), you will find in one corner he has a drum kit and guitars always ready for an impromptu rock band session. For real! One cool cat. Speaking of which, you see a black cat running around from shelf to shelf in the store? Don't worry, no bad luck there, just Steve's pride & joy. There's everything comic and comic related in Velvet Underground, comics (duh), graphic novels, cards, toys, posters, trinkets, you name it. There's a lot of throwbacks too - lots of older Star Wars stuff and older comic book figures. You really need to spend some time in the shop because it's almost like an indoor swap meet! Steve is no riddle after getting to know him, very nice guy. His helper/employee 'V' as she is known, is great as well. Very sweet lady and very helpful. If you ever get down to Velvet Underground (if you can even find it), tell Steve Chris sent you. If you don't get down there, more comics for me!

HUGE selection!!!!

Luckily stumbled upon this gem in Sin City! The store is big, well organized and if you cannot find something Esteban Riddler and his staff are more than happy to help you. He was super knowledgable about all his merchandise and full of information. We will def be coming back every time we visit Las Vegas.

I haven't been to a comic or card shop since the early 1990s. I was looking for a specific hobby…read morebox that upper decks do not sell on their own website. Instead, they listed 11 authorized online retailers that I could choose from. I narrowed down 4 retailers from the 11 and to my coincidence, I happen to be visiting Las Vegas this weekend. I gave this shop a visit and was glad I did, I had previously called the day before to make sure this shop existed and the lady (sorry forgot the name) that I talked to was very helpful. She located the hobby boxes I wanted and I came in to purchase them the following day. The staff was great, from the phone service to in-person. Adam who also helped me when I came in pretty much answered all the newbie questions I had, I ended up buying a few more things that what I really came for but was impressed with the store itself. The prices were competitive and they are willing to earn your business. I would come back here and will probably purchase online one day. Thanks Adam and team!

When we arrived, they weren't joking, they had so many boxes and packs available. The prices are on the higher end and the taxes are crazy as well. We ended up purchasing a bunch of packs and 1 box of OP13. We open all our packs unfortunately nothing good, as far as my op13 box, I haven't open yet it so hopefully something good. I would come back to awesome card shop since they have so many boxes of One Piece as well as a bunch of basketball boxes and packs.

Stopped by because we stumbled upon this store 2 days before my son's 10th bday party (yep, today)…read more During all the prep, the kid mentions NOTHING about comic books for a bday gift (LOL), and springs it on me at the last minute [insert eye roll here]. So, this was kind of a welcomed stumble. Anyway - they have TONS of comic book merch. Action figures, figurines, Funko pops, and a HUGE selection of comic books. I know a little about Marvel, DC and such, but never got into comics, so I was a bit overwhelmed by the selection. Was pretty cool that they put the comics in some kind of coordinated order by hero/villain. Said selection had a sign requesting that guests not destroy the set up - "...would be very JarJar Binks of you..." -it clearly took someone days to coordinate. What was even better, was having a store clerk available that knew exactly where to look and took his time to help us until we found what we think will be a cool gift. Super huge thanks to him!! Wide range of prices on the comics btw - looked to be about a $1-$2 mark up for some according to the print price, but it did not seem out of pocket. Did I mention I don't shop for comics...? So yeah - I recommend you check it out and let me know if I am wrong Lol. I also didn't do much shopping for any of the other merch so you'll have to check them out for that too. Will definitely return with the rugrat so he can check it out for himself. While I can't attest to comic nerd nirvana, this place got pretty close to a nice excursion.

The team member had recommended stopping by Comics & Stuff to look for vocaloid characters. We didn't realize it was at the other end of the mall from JCPenney. We were in awe as we walked into Comics & Stuff. There are so many options to choose from! There are plush characters from a variety of animes, anime figurines from Sailor Moon, Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba, MHA, and much more!! There are also comic books as well. My son was able to find a few collectible vocaloid characters, specifically, Kagamine Len. The team members at the front register were able to point us in the right direction on where the vocaloid collectibles were located inside the store. I ended up purchasing a Magic Knight Rayearth, Spirit of Fire build action figurine. It looked pretty cool, and it was there only one in stock! I really enjoyed visiting this store with my family and would highly recommend it if you're looking for anime figurines, manga, comics!
