A lot of the so called comic stores in town have focused on merch over comic books. Not Cosmic Comics. With one of the more extensive back issues and graphic novel collections I have seen in the area, Cosmic is run by friendly and helpful people whose love of the genre is evident. Yes there is some merch, but the focus is what you came for, the stories. I never feel rushed here and there is even a couch to sit and read some of the promotional comics while my 21 year old buried his head in the backissue boxes searching for that one cyclops or teen titans story. Definitely worth a trip for the comic fan. read more

This is probably "the" comic store in Vegas. It's a well sized shop and the sections are pretty easy to navigate (essentially just 3 walls, DC, Marvel, and other publishers). I've just recently began collecting comics and this feels like a great spot to try on release days. Their cosmic cash rewards system is a nice touch, though I will say the rewards add up slowly. I earned $2.50 for a $49 purchase, which came out to about $1 per 20 spent or so (I'm not sure if that's their whole system, but that was today's purchase at least). Friendly staff, fun place. This is an extreme over site, not leaving a review here. Been shopping at this store for years. Love the lay out here. Last time I came in looking for a custom comic storage box and was not disappointed. A whole comic shelf & wall display full as well. I went with this amazing Dr.Doom one I found. Also love the clearance section in the very back. I've found some great value here. Like the time I got my Strangers in Paradise omnibus for half off! They also have a huge selection of absolutes & omnibuses in stock at regular price. Many comic shops don't. The staff is cool with a bunch of nerds (my kind of people). This is easily one of my favorite comic shops in town. The ladies that work the desk are so friendly and always willing to help and answer any of my questions. This Shop easily has the most inventory of Omnibus' for sale that I can find in the city. I believe everything is MSRP, but I've never got anything that hasn't been less than perfect condition, so that's a good value in my book. See you guys soon. read more

Way more backstock then the rest of the comic book stores in Las Vegas, but if the book is on the wall, expect to pay an extraordinary amount of money (X-Men 2099 # 1, they wanted $100), that is insane!!! Found it later for $5. Go to Alternate Reality Comics before coming to Cosmic Comics, or Poor Man Comics (2nd choice). Cosmic Comics backstock bins are a little over priced, but every once in a while you'll find decent priced book in the bins only. read more

I'm not a weekly patron, perhaps that's why I wasn't treated very well. I usually visit the store once or twice a year and spend around $200. In the past, the staff was friendly and chatty and I came away feeling good about the experience. This time not so much. I felt like I was being treated like a potential criminal and I also felt like they were doing me a favor by selling me $200 worth of comic books. The manager spent more time training his employee, right in front of me, on the difference between a golden age comic and a silver age comic and how to open a bagged comic. The selection of older comics seemed diminished from previous visits as well. I will think twice about visiting them again. read more

My favorite shop in town for new comics. The thing I like best is the square footage. You walk into other shops and they look cool but they're small and the reason that they look cool is because they're small so everything is crammed in and it looks cool but it's hard to see through the business. I love Cosmic because I can go in and I can actually see what's there. All of the staff are cool, and knowledgeable, and down to talk about what they read and why. They also have a great loyalty program. It's no secret why this shop has been around since the 90s and is still going. read more

Let me preface this by saying I am in no way a collector of comic books or graphic novels and this store is maybe of of two or three comic stores I have been in my entire life so I do not have a lot to compare it to nor can I really speak to the quality of what they sell. I am an avid collector of Elvira and some of the graphic novels and comics, in this case I was looking for one that I couldn't find online but did see through their website they had the book in stock at the store. I ordered the book though their website for instore pickup and when I arrived to the store maybe 20 minutes or so later, despite a few minute wait as they located it, the book was ready for pickup. The book was new and in great condition, honestly it was a perfect transaction for an item that was not all that readily available. When I got there it took them a few minutes to locate the item but not at all inconvenient especially considering the short time prior me submitting the order. As I was waiting I did walk around and look through the store; the store was clean and well organized and seemed to have a great selection of new and classic comics. Everything was well categorized and displayed in a way that was attractive and easy to see what was being sold. The pricing seemed in line with what I would have expected to find ranging from inexpensive to pricy. The caveat here is I have next to no knowledge of comics and what the prices should be so I am only judging what I perceive as competitive pricing based on what I have seen as I seek very specific items. The only reason I gave less than a perfect 5 is the customer service in this store is somewhat lacking. The young lady who was working when I came in wasn't very approachable or welcoming in my opinion and I really doubt had I not approached her that I would have ever been asked if I needed assistance. That said I would not say that she was rude or unfriendly more came across as shy and somewhat awkward. Once I approached her she was able to assist me with no issues, not to stereotype but she was really what I would expect an employee in a hardcore comic store to be like. From an outsider I would say that this store would be an amazing destination for an enthusiast or hobbyist of comics and graphic novels but somewhat overwhelming and unwelcome to someone who is not very into them. All this said I will say this would absolutely be somewhere that I will seek out next time I am seeking out something for my Elvira collection as they did have a difficult to find book that I was unable to locate elsewhere and I would not hesitate to promote this store to somebody who I know is an avid collector of comics. This would not be somewhere that I personally would stop through to browse or recommend to someone who not very into the hobby as the store itself if a bit too inaccessible for someone not very into the hobby (not at all a bad thing just something I felt worth mentioning). I stopped at Cosmic yesterday for a copy of Alpha Flight #13. Staff said I wasn't allowed to open the bag or look at the book, I got home and saw that Cosmic literally ripped me off! The last page was cut out most likely by a previous owner, but Cosmic Comics didn't let me look at the book before I bought it. I absolutely do NOT recommended this store! I been going to this store for a month now. Never been into comics so I decided to give it a try, i love marvel and I decided to read some comics. When I walked in, I was shocked to see so much stuff. There's a lot of comics , funko pops and action figures. They have a lot of comics /genres. Sometimes I go in and look around for like 2 hours just cuz it feels like a game arcade and don't buy anything. Staff is nice and friendly , if you need help, they help you with kindness and good attitude. Makes you feel welcomed in this store . I been to 2 other stores and this one just stands out way more and way better. On top of that they have the graded comics that's pretty cool to see even though I don't have the money for it haha. Found this store on Yelp! It's very cool inside! They have T-shirts and comic collectible memorabilia as well, including all of the Forte Nite Collectible Figures. My complaint is with policy. As someone who frequented this comic store ireguarly over the last couple of years and then much more frequently lately I wanted to warn others who might want to participate in the rewards program. For those who don't know Cosmic Comics has a rewards program that you get store credit back depending on how much you spend. I don't know the rate as I never got to cash out my points. Over the last couple of months I've been coming in about twice a month and spending about a hundred dollars on Graphic Novels because I'm far behind. Everytime I go up and they take my email and I buy the books assuming that soon I should have a large amount and maybe could get something. Last time I went in and asked how much I had because I figured out of three grapic novels maybe I could use those points. It was at this point that I was awkwardly told that I wasn't allowed to earn points. Well that's weird, first I heard of it! She said I missed picking up a book. I told her I'd never even been informed it arrived or else I would have grabbed. She told me to check my junk folder. I did check my email and I had missed out on picking up Archie vs Predator 2 back in August of 2019. I understand that you have policies, and I suppose that is my bad for missing picking it up My issue is that you've all had no problem taking my money in exchange for these books while not rewarding me any points and having me ignorantly thing that I was accumulating. Had you told me the next time that I was in that I was blacklisted for missing picking up a 25$ book which I'm sure was still sold despite me missing that email, then I gladly would have taken my business elsewhere and that would have been the end of it. I have reached out via the email on their website to which I have received no reply. Fair warning, make sure you're getting points if you come here because they'll keep that information a secret. read more

Nice selection but this place is trash. Bought some comics over a week ago. One got damaged and gave one to my brother for his birthday. Decided to replace them as there were more than 5 on the shelf. Literally told me she can only sell me one. Seems they were tracking transactions and it's masquerading as 'cosmic cash'. This is a pretty cool comic store with a huge selection. I love the layout and how organized it is; it's easy to find what you're looking for. I came by because I wanted to give some of my furniture a makeover. I was able to find comic books for $1 or less to fit my arts and crafts needs. I had been wanting to find a nice comic shop to visit often in the area and I finally find my favorite! Cosmic Comics is a great place to spend some time at. Not only are they well stocked but the staff is very friendly and always ready to help assist you! My dad was a huge comic book nerd and it makes me happy to follow in his nerdy footsteps. I don't normally leave reviews but in this case I felt it was necessary. I am a professional artist and I have worked for Lucasfilm, Disney, Star Wars, BOOM! Studios, HIVE Comics, and HorrorHound Magazine just to name a few. I am highly regarded in the professional artists Arena and do many guest appearances and signings as well. Unfortunately they had no idea who I was and judged me before I even walked in. So I enter the store to show them some of my art I was willing to let them sell, (keep in mind it's a privilege for anyone to sell my authentic artwork). They literally shot me down without even letting me introduce myself, I was actually doing them a favor since they are close to my home I figured I would be nice and let them carry my work. In there defense they did tell me it was not a good time to show them anything I had, they were to busy doing there inventory and unpacking products. read more

Even though it was acknowledged today is Christopher Reeves Birthday and my Birthday as well, He still refused to set up a Comic and refused a Birthday Button as well. We came in for the first time as a family and the racist owner refused to sell us the comics we had in our hands . This is not a family Friendly place, as he was trying to limit us to one book per group !! We all collect comics so we will not be returning to this place that had us leave with disappointed kids , all because the owner wanted to change the policies as he went along . We spend hi dress on comics all around town and this place will not get one dollar from us . A buddy mentioned he liked going to get blank covers there when he was in town (there is a huge selection of blanks), so I popped in and the amount of back issues, plus $1 bins made me a happy comic hunter! I stopped in the other day to use a gift card and a coupon I had won in a weekly drawing. I was really impressed. The shop was clean, and organized really well. They have a HUGE selection of comics, including a section at the front of comics for $1. They sell a ton of graphic novels (I'm a huge Sandman fan, so win for me!), t-shirts, and other awesome collectibles. The two guys working there were extremely friendly and helpful. Not a whole lot to write about. It's a great shop and I visit here everytime I'm in Vegas. Service has always been great and workers have been very helpful and knowledgable about products etc. Its a typical nerd palace. The setup is better than most shops. This was my first time in, the employees weren't welcoming, I would have bought a bunch of comics but felt like I was just "bothering" the staff. I bought a book and a poster then left. The employee literally made the sale and then immediately turned around and seemed like he couldn't care less about me. I love this store. If I was a little closer, (I live REALLY far) this would be my pullbox/home comicbook store, in a heartbeat. The staff is super friendly and knowledgable, but my favorite part is the big selection of trades and back issues. Despite the distance, I still make it a mission to journey out, once a month or so, and expect to find a ton of treasures. Great example: out of all the stores in Vegas, they had MOST of Batman's "The Black Mirror" run, and didn't even jack up the price on the uber-famous Jock Joker cover (which they easily could've done) and this was right before the collected trade was released. The layout sets it apart from a lot of other stores, as finding items is fairly easy, and if you're stuck, there's always someone close by at the counter. Love you, Cosmic. read more
