The bookstore opened in 2014 and relocated to its current location in 2019. [Parking]: Street parking only - I got really lucky and there was a free spot available adjacent to the bookstore. [Atmosphere]: The bookstore creates an environment that makes visitors feel like they are walking into a jungle of books. The bookstore describes itself as an "artificial bird sanctuary" with the coffee counter shaped like a bird cage. There are a few tables for visitors to sit and drink their coffee. The bookstore is quite large and visitors can see a bunny in the back of the bookstore near the bear statue. [Restroom]: Restrooms are located behind the exit door just past the front bird cage coffee counter inside the bookstore. [Conclusion]: This is a really cute bookstore that caters to a more diverse and general audience. Two big thumbs up on the overall vibe.

Recently popped in on a weekend when I saw a social media post for a coffee cart - Unity Coffee is here on Sundays, and it was the extra motivation I needed to come in. Apparently the namesake/mascot Buffy is the owner's dog, and she makes an appearance at the store in the form of a mural - supposedly she also occasionally visits in person, too. Such a cute touch. The walls are so nicely decorated for a fun and unique vibe, and the light purple color is calming and homey, like you're at a favorite quirky aunt's house. This book store is nice and spacious with plenty of tables for gathering, reading, and socializing. I found the store well organized, and liked how there were several fun and interactive displays with staff recommendations and clever groupings - like upcoming movies. They sell both new and used books, and take donations for the latter. There's a little kids area, seasonal decor (summerween when I went!) and a bunch of Lego displays too for a personal touch. In addition to books, they pad out their store with gift items, stickers, and games, too. Looking forward to coming back soon. I have been trying to read more physical books (rather than use my kindle app), will have to pop by when we find out our next book club pick!

In addition, the restroom door didn't lock for some odd reason. [Conclusion]: A cute bookstore and a worthwhile stop for hardcore bookworms. P.S. - The bookstore offers a stamp card with the 5th stamp = 5% off and the 10th stamp = 10% off.

RIP, mate~ // I have always fancied the solitary aspect of immersing in literary works. It is, however, concurrently delightful to strike up a conversation in an independent bookstore with fellow overzealous ''reading freaks,'' as noted in a reflection one is bound to catch in its chambers. 'twas such a pleasure witnessing Laytart being equally as enraptured as me when he spoke about death, oddities, and literature, hah~ x // When geomagnetic storms ignited luminescent polar auroras and when the lines of magnetic force between Earth and the sun intersected with one another, the center of the "X" spot where the lines met was where a magnetic portal formed: Avantpop Bookstore. Anyhow, if you are ever in Sin City, fire up your rocket's spark igniters and make your way to new land. Quoting Aunt Ida from Female Trouble (1974), ''The world of the heterosexual is a sick and boring life.''
