A bookstore and coffee shop store all together! Yes we have one of these, even here in Vegas. Nestled in the middle of nowhere downtown is yes a bookstore. A coffee shop with a huge selection of books. It reminds me of wandering through a Powells bookstore in Portland. We came to see this vision and were just blown away. The writers block was encouraging and inspiring. The employees here emphasized kindness and compassion. The store design is truly magical. It's something that needs to be shared and appreciated. After home schooling the kids for over a decade this was our favorite place to be. Much has changed over the years, but the importance is this. This Barnes and Noble has gotten just better ! The kids area has evolved into something better. Having children with special needs they carry an excellent sensory experience area where an individual can purchase and use as needed for their children. The book selection is designed well. It comes with a reading area for the little ones. Try the book out before you go home. If you're into the manga reads they can order what you don't have, as needed. They have an excellent selection of this genre . It's the twins favorite things to read at the moment. It's a little bit of everything for all sorts of different tastes. The point is you're just reading. If you need your caffeine and a little nook to read your book they have a cafe with coffee and snacks. It's just a place to come and visit and relax. Tip: On-street parking is free from 11-2 for locals on weekdays. The 5 stars is especially for the owner who helped us, who was so welcoming and gave us the rundown. Owner(s?) are super kind, and there are plenty of comics, old and new. I only really collect modern day stuff, so cover prices is typically what you're paying on those (from what I gathered). If you're looking for first prints of some modern popular stuff you can't find elsewhere, solid chance they'll have it here. Only real complaint is the lack of card payment. They're cash only, unless you want to use an app like Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, etc. Definitely not a big issue, but slightly annoying as it wasn't advertised going in from what I saw.
