Came here a little while back while in town. Located in a random shopping center that appeared a little deserted at the time we visited. The storefront itself was very unassuming, but walking in we were pleasantly surprised. This small store is filled with merchandise. A ton of kawaii things, anime things, house products, Sanrio things, skincare products, and a lot more. We walked through the aisles more than once just to make sure we didn't miss anything! There are also some good deals and the items overall were reasonably priced. The lady behind the counter was quiet and left us alone to browse. When we were done and paid for our items, she gave us a small handful of Japanese candies. So sweet! We will definitely be back! read more

Super cute inside. We were going to consider Daiso if we couldn't find what we needed but so glad we went inside Tokyo Discount. It's in the corner near Ulta in the Flamingo/Fort Apache shopping center and it's a blink and you'll miss it kind of place. My son was attending a friend's birthday party who is a big fan of Hello Kitty so we thought we could try here first. We ended up getting everything we needed, a 50th Anniversary Hello Kitty plush, a keychain, light up pen, and Hi-Chew. There were actually so many options, it was hard to decide and I had to put things back and forth a few times. They have a lot of other characters, manga, anime, snacks, and unique Asian gadgets and knick knacks. The women at the counter (possibly the owner) was sweet as pie. We were happy shoppers and it gave me a lot of great flashbacks to when I was a kid visiting Sanrio shops. read more

Tokyo Discount is located in a plaza that has plenty of parking and is pretty easy to find. There are actually a couple of Tokyo Discount locations and I've passed by the other location before but haven't visited. This place is filled with alot of cool things from Japan or at least stuff you would identify as Japanese. There's a bunch of anime stuff from action figures, stuff animals, kitchen tools and general cutesy stuff that you didn't know existed but felt you totally needed to have. There's also quite an assortment of sweet and salty snacks as well as ramen and various sauces for cooking or seasoning. I'm sure you might find better prices online but Tokyo Discount eliminates the wait and you can immediately get whatever you want. They have a little bit of everything here. Great gift ideas for all ages. They have tasty, unique snacks and drinks. We were looking for some hello kitty items for a birthday party. The store was jam packed with a large variety of items. Some of the quality was very poor. The staff didn't speak to us at all until check out but this vary well could have been a language barrier. Prices were ridiculous though. Nothing was actual licensed products and so over priced. We bought 3 items- a pen, a small coin purse, and a lanyard and it was $30. I could have gotten better quality at hot topic etc. Perhaps if you wanted anime it would be a better fit as they had so much in there! read more

fake sonny angels and smiskis. im devastated. don't come here to buy those they're fakes. They're $8 for a reason. Smiski should be matte not sweaty looking and SONNY ANGELS HEADS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO COME OFF/ That dinosaur is terrible shiny plastic. For having such a large Asian population in Vegas. There are not a lot of Asian Novelty stores. This place has a great of selection of Japanese novelty gifts, anime, toys, and treats. Better quality than the store in Chinatown. My son was happy with his Dragon Z figurine he purchased- noted that he couldn't find it in Amazon. The salesperson is helpful and nice. read more

It's located in a strip mall just down a few stores from a 99c store. They have anime stuff and even BTS/ KPop stuff. They ask that kids under 13 come in with a parent, which makes sense because its not a toy store. The aisles are narrow, and it is pack full of stuff. You can find Japanese food, toys, snacks, chopsticks, clothes, and even toiletry items. They even carry a few Funko pops. We didn't find what we were looking for, but it's a neat place if you are in the area. read more

This is my go to place for matcha green tea kit kat. Every Sunday, at least every other Sunday if not every, I pick up the famous candy, but this one is from Japan, the legit green tea kit kat. I also pick up (when available) chocolate Mumbai snack. Small little shop that has your anime needs and other random Japanese stuff. The family that owns this shop is always so generous and welcoming. Cant wait to go back for more. read more

Great little store packed wall to wall with everything Japanese including Japanese snacks and condiments, Japanese home decor, Japanese toiletries and a ton of plush, toys and accessories based off various Anime and various Nintendo game characters. Some things are a bit pricey but perhaps expected considering rarity and cost to import. read more

If it has Pikachu or Hello Kitty on it, you'll probably find it here. There's more to this spot than that though (and green tea Kit Kats)- this spot is decently sized but packed with Japanese import products from condiments and beverages to painted plates and chopstick sets. And that's just in the first aisle! Predictably, a lot of their stock has some relation to anime series or characters, such as beach towels, shirts, action figures, and car decals, but HK by far has the biggest dedicated section. If you know a fan with a birthday coming up, you're sure to find them something they don't have. Can I suggest car license plate screw covers with her likeness? Easily one of the more obscure things I found. Great little spot to browse around, whether or not you think you'll buy anything. Because you don't really need a reason to buy soft green-tea-flavored Oreos or erasers that look like sushi. The world needs more cuteness. Start here. read more

I stopped by Tokyo Discount for a bag ($7.39) and browsed the little Japanese shop. - Lots of Hello Kitty and other Sanrio items; kitchen and home decor items; spices, ramen, sauces, snacks, gold Buddha statues. - The green tea Kit Kats were located at the end of one aisle, alongside the Bitter Chocolate Kit Kats --I haven't tried those yet, so I didn't want to risk it (they're not cheap!) This store is adorable, but VERY pricey! There aren't many Tokyo or Japanese import stores back home, so I was thrilled so find one in the Vegas area. The first aisle (closest to the left when you first enter) is packed with adorable plushies, office supplies, wallets, bags, and blankets! I was in the store for about an hour because I had so much trouble deciding what I wanted to get. Some of the items are pricey and it's not always consistent. A wallet I wanted was $16! But a medium sized plush was $20. (Which is the norm) I hope they consider adding appeal in the future, I was disappointed at the lack of fashion. They had a few t-shirts but no harajuku-themed clothing pieces. Aside from these small criticisms, I loved this place and would like to return again in the future. read more

Employees are stuck up, store is cramped, some kid was tapping his shoes following us up and down the aisles as if we were stealing. Give me a break. Prices are a bit over priced. Nothing you can't find at other Asian grocery stores. Daiso and other Japanese stores are opening soon. Spend your money elsewhere. Advice to owners: hire employees with customer service. read more

Great store! If you are into anime, this is the place for you. But, let me get this clear. THEY DO NOT SELL MANGA, I REPEAT THEY DO NOT SELL MANGA. I originally came to get manga (because in the description it says there is manga), but, I couldn't find any there. It's fine though, I bought a few figures, which I wanted anyway. I love coming to Tokyo Discount every time I am in Vegas. I end up spending an hour walking the isles because there is just so much selection! Unfortunately the cramped isles can be difficult if the store is busy. They always play jpop/kpop music through the store which I quite enjoy. This place was a small place. It did have a lot of Japanese gift ideas. And some kitchen items. But not a lot of cosmetics items. If your looking to get cosmetics items. Dont come here. Either buy it online or whenever you're in LA. Get it there. But, they do carry a lot of different types of mugs with lids and plate sets. read more

The young girl who works there really needs to work on her customer service skills. She wasn't interactive with any of the customers who were shopping around or said "hello" to the people who were coming in. She didn't even say "excuse me" when she tried passing by the cramped aisle full of customers when she tried to get by whiles talking on the phone. Truthfully, she paid more attention to the cute, young boys who were coming in and shopping. (or nutty depending on how you see it) Yes, they have other things here too like a entire section just dedicated to Hello Kitty stuff. When I think of Hello Kitty, I think of that one Austin Powers scene from I think "The Spy Who Shagged Me" or was it "Goldmember?" Anyways, that scene where Austin runs into the Japanese twins Fook Mi and Fook Yu. They were both in some weird Hello Kitty gear. My family and I go to this place a lot during the year. I love the items here so does my family. I've never been here during the Christmas season until today. People were all over place. It was crowded. I made way to the line and was in line for about 15 minutes. There were no other lines besides the one I was standing in. As the line starts to get to the front, I see another line that was formed after I stood in line. As the person in front of me went to the cashier, a lady went right after her. I said to her in a nice way that this was the line, she got rude and proceeded to go forward then said go then. There was a guy behind me but he didn't say anything. We were exchanging words while all along the workers there knew especially the cashier since she was facing our line and the new formed line. When I got to the cashier I told her about but did nothing. She just pretended that she didn't hear what I said. Just an idea, I think during this time of year, you as a company should make a sign that says line starts here this way no one will know to avoid any confrontation between your customers. read more
