I ordered online from Michaels and didn't realize until after checkout that the location was about 30 minutes away from me . I debated canceling, but decided to just take the drive and honestly, I'm glad I did. This Michaels location was super clean, well organized, and fully stocked. Everything looked neat and easy to find, which I really appreciate when I'm on a mission and don't want to wander around forever. The shelves were full, seasonal items were displayed beautifully, and nothing felt picked over. Customer service was great...friendly, welcoming, and efficient at the pickup counter. I was in and out quickly, which made the 30 min. drive feel worth it. There's also plenty of parking, and it's conveniently located near other name brand stores in the shopping center, so you can easily knock out a few errands in one trip. Overall, a smooth experience from online ordering to pickup. I'd definitely come back to this location again. read more

The staff were very nice and knowledgeable of their Halloween discounts. My friend and I spent about 30 minutes roaming all the isles ad. Clearence section. There was a wide variety of different Halloween arts, crafts, and decor. The price was perfect. read more

It's Thursday 6/27/24 at about 2:00pm. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The parking lot has lots of free parking that was free and there are also handicap stalls near the front door. In side the store was clean and well lite. I never come to Michael's as I think it's too expensive. Only for very specific items I do and u was looking for something which they didn't carry, when asked about the employees gave me a weird answer I need a simple wooden ring and they acted like I asked for something out of this world. I went in for a picture frame. The store was well stocked with any craft item or idea that may cross your mind. Young and old could spend hours here and leave with a bag full of goodies for their next hands-on project. I would say the employees are the reason I give it a two stars. What a pleasant experience all around. I online ordered a frame to pick up for a Christmas gift for a friend and I was so taken with the staff here. Everyone was so kind and helpful, it honestly might be one of the most pleasant retail experiences I've ever had? Upon picking up my frame, the young gentleman at the front (wearing an animal print shirt) was so considerate and attentive to his work, but he had to call a supervisor for assistance in finding my item. I waited maybe a minute, the supervisor (tall, long hair) came back and was also very kind and attentive! Upon checking out, everyone said goodbye and I was on my merry way. It feels weird writing a review about people simply being nice, but it's a rarity that I have come to appreciate extra. The world is so ugly but the staff at this Michael's could've had me fooled. Went here to buy some plastic jewelry baggies. The bin had a sign that said all bead landing storage bags buy one get one 50% off. They didn't ring up that way so I ended up having to rogue with the clerk and the manager to get the discount they offered on a large 6x9 sign attached to the very bin I got the bead landing bags from. What a joke, worst Michaels I've ever had to deal with. Even after I went and got the sign showing them that these met all the requirements listed and were even in the bin the sign is hanging on the Manager tried to say they weren't included in the sale. ? Bead landing storage bags aren't included in a sale for bead landing storage bags??? Go to a different Michaels, this one could care less about its customers. Also the when I opened my app to scan the customer info I was told that's not how it worked and I had to type in my phone number for rewards. Hmmmm, been using the barcode scan for years at Michaels and never had an issue before. I think the whole store needs training. read more

The staff truly makes this location for me! The shelves are a bit sparse at times and a little disorganized, but the staff is always super helpful, it's never super crowded and if you can not find something someone is always around to point you in the right direction. Tip: I highly suggest signing up for the rewards program because it will save a ton! I saved $23 dollars on my items today with rewards and coupons all on the Michael's App and that was 50% of my total! read more

We went here on Black Friday night... It wasn't to crowded but there were some shoppers there... I was just a tag along on this trip... My daughter wanted to make some gifts for her friends and colleagues... There was a very good selection of all kinds of crafting items... There were tons of Christmas items for your home decorative needs... Being that we went in the late afternoon there wasn't to much staff members around to help or to answer questions actually walking around we didn't see any... We found what we were looking for on our own but it took some time... Also there were quite a few items that I wanted but no price so I ended up putting it back... Being Black Friday maybe they were busy during the day but there was quite a few misplaced items... Right by the check out there were lots of snacks which doesn't help when you hungry... Kinda strange to see stuff like that at a craft store... But that is typically what all stores do to get you to buy just one more thing... Regardless our trip was a success... No one made an announcement stating it was getting close to closing so I had no idea what time it was and one of the employees cam up to me and said mam we are past closing and u have to leave.... Michaels is... well... Michaels--a bit on the "Grandma's Attic" side--stuffed, messy, and with a unique odor. But... they have just about everything! What they don't have is accessible employees to help you find products. I went for cake decorating supplies and though I didn't find what I needed, I found other items that I simply could not live without (since they were on sale). [Side note: Michael's has great sales and coupons and they accept competitor's coupons.] I chose a clearance item and after waiting awhile in the checkout line, I learned the item was not on clearance. It took quite some time for someone to help me figure out the problem and then I had to wait in line again. Other than wide variety, this Michael's saving grace is the employee who helped me at the counter. She had a bit of a Norman-Bates'-mom vibe, but was incredibly nice. I'll keep it simple and do a 4 point review Atmosphere: Pretty quiet when I went in, maybe 6 customers in the entire store. No music playing if I recall correctly. Service: No one asked if I needed help, which to me is good and bad. Good because I didn't feel pressured to hurry and shop. Bad because it would have been nice to know of any deals or specials going on. Product(s): It's your typical Michael's. Products are maybe a step below hobby lobby. I just had the most horrible experience at this location to which I was accused of stealing after being in the store for 10minutes standing in one visible section then a manager noticeable started to spy on me and within 3 minutes he asked me to give back what I had put in my pockets. I asked him what he's talking about, I had an item in my hand that I was ready to purchase. He got a complaint by two people that said they saw me put something in my pocket. One was a customer and then the other a sales associate. He called the sales associate over and asked her what she saw and she said a person told her that someone wearing blue stole something. I WAS NOT WEARING BLUE. He didn't believe me so I put the item down that was visible in my hand and then dug into my pockets emptying each one slowly then unzipping my jacket and taking taking off my sweater. I even lifted my pants leg up to show my ankles and he still insisted I give it back and leave. It was then I lost my temper and raised my voice to give what back? He then threaten to call the police and I agreed that he should because I hadn't stole anything. After all my proof, i still refused to leave because I wasn't guilty of what they accused me of. I then lifted up my shirt to expose my stomach and pulled down my jogging pants 5 inches exposing my underwear, the manager got angry and call the police. I spent the next several minutes using profanity explaing that he is in the wrong. I then just grabbed the item I wanted to purchase, went to the register and attempted to purchase but was declined. I then left the premises insulting the manager who accused me of stealing. Michael's is a decent art store that I like to shop at and provides a lot of art tools I need. I have a membership there for their rewards program. It will be a major inconvenience for me to travel to further art stores. Because I was NOT in the wrong here, I will have to unfortunately keep shopping at this location and perhaps deal with a similar problem everything or perhaps be denied service. I even took off my mask, knowing once the mask comes off people trip over themselves to tell you to put the mask back on, and still nobody! It's only fitting because the shelves the items I were looking for were bare! Large selection, overpriced stock, lack of knowledgeable staff. I don't expect the store to have staff that are experts in every craft, but if no one in your store knows if you have a common item in stock, that's a bit frustrating. I wasn't the only person there who had difficulty finding staff or finding the item they were looking for. Ended up taking my business to the nearby Office Depot, which had my item in stock along with staff to tell me so and direct me to the section of the store. Seems like they probably lose a lot of business due to this, since Walmart is right next door also. For non-craft items like décor, there's good selection here but it's really overpriced despite sale signage everywhere. The few items I have been able to find and purchase here (spray adhesive, candles, rubber cement) are about a buck more than elsewhere for no apparent reason. read more

Great place for all sorts of crafty things. If you are into knitting or crochet the yarn selection is great. There are books for afgans, prayer shawls and baby blankets. If you want to pick up a silk flower arrangement they have a beautiful selection, but if want to make it youself, there is hugh selection of flowers to choose from. Overall, just a good place for any type of crafter. They even have many items on sale and now will honor competitors coupons. read more

I don't typically write reviews but I am sitting here in the parking lot watching this woman in her car angrily writing one so here I am. This woman was at the register next to me with her mask below both her nose and lips, an associate said, "can you please put your mask on" She then removed her from her chin to aggressively yell, "don't try and control my body with your words" The world that we live in is embarrassing, I am embarrassed that people like this woman exist. I am so sorry to the employees of this, and all establishments that they have to deal with this kind of egregious behavior. If you like to have buyers remorse this is your place!!!! I used to get supplies at the one on Arroyo and this location doesn't really compare. It's usually a little messy and I have never interacted with an employee except at the register. I cross stitch, oil paint, and I'm currently addicted to stencils and I have a million beautiful picture frames stacked up in storage that don't even have pics!!!! My most recent trip was to find a metallic silver based acrylic paint that I needed for a custom made stencil to do an accent wall...well...it took me forever to find the paint it was looking for and they didn't have the brush I was looking for. I ended up having to order the brush from the manufacturer and then take a chance on this silver paint. The paint turned out to be fine and while I was trying to decide I noticed these cute Martha Stewart stencils with bees and fleur de lis that I couldn't resist. Not sure what I'm going to do with them but hey, they are cute. Near the registers Michael's always has there signature discount bins for alllllll the stupid crap that you don't need. Pen organizers, toxic plastic craft bins, disorganized fake flowers, Betsy Whoever name brand bright pink and gold umbrellas...all of it. Oh don't forget the monogrammed thank you cards, are you kidding?!?!?!? If you are not a hoarder (like me) you can simply float by and get away from the madness. If you have junk hoarding issues......I suggest you not even enter the store :) I have a love/hate relationship with the place. Take a list of shit you need, ask for help if you must and then get the hell out of there. I consider myself a sometimes-crafty person... I used to make beaded jewelry, enjoy scrapbooking, and make personalized bookmarks for various groups to which I belong and people I want to show love to, from time to time. The only craft store I'd ever visited in Vegas before this one was Hobby Lobby. My mom needed to get something for an event she's coordinating soon so, of course, I tagged along. I will, likely, rate most Michaels stores a three unless something sticks out about them, positive or negative, because they are pretty similar as far as my experience can tell. This one is a pretty good size. They had what my mom needed (in the bridal section, though she's not planning for a wedding). They have a much better ribbon selection than the one I frequent in Redondo Beach (Cali). I also noticed more available employees for me to ask questions of than I have at any other. What puts this location over the top is employee Elizabeth H! I don't know I've ever had a sweeter, more complimentary, and helpful check out EVER in my life! She was genuinely smiling from the time she motioned us to her station to her the time I told her I would give her a Yelp shout out. Terrible curbside service by "managers" Kayla and Jennifer. Still awaiting corporate to call. Unprofessional people working. Brought my order, I got home to find they left something out, called the store, immediately was told they were probably out of it without even checking my invoice. After checking they discovered it was paid for and they forgot to include it, just come back down and pick up. I live in the North West. The only reason I chose this store for pickup was they had what I needed without waiting a week for it to have it mailed to me. When I returned to the store the second day I called and asked to speak to a manager, the person on the phone laughed and said were all managers here. I told them I would contact corporate on their behavior and lack of unprofessionalism. As one of the other managers brought my item to the curbside, I asked her name she nastily told me to have a good day then yelled unbelievable talking about me as she went back into the store. I could expect this behavior from young employees but if these two people were supposedly managers--- never. I am still waiting for corporate to contact me. I always seem to wander into Michael's and usually leave with one item or nothing. They're in the same category as Hobby Lobby but are so much more expensive than Hobby Lobby and also smaller in size. I found the same item at Hobby Lobby for $2 less. Think that's a bit excessive. Yes, you can find some coupons on their website but even then it doesn't come out to a much better deal than the other store. Plus this location was cluttered and staff was hard to come by for assistance. With these stores where no one knows where anything is you have to have staff walking around to offer assistance as needed. It's a necessity. I'll pass on coming back to Michael's think I've learned my lesson. read more
