I visit my sister in Las Vegas at least 3 times a year. I always come here because they have nice home decor. Well, I think I can understand why their other stores are closing....One register open....and a lot of clerks standing around and/or trying to look busy? I don't understand why you have 4 registers and only one is open...Okay, so I waited. I bought a few sachet packets and a picture frame.....My husband said he would stand in line while I still looked around....He purchased everything but did not realize that the picture frame was just thrown in a plastic bag with NO PAPER.....Come on now....even TJ Maxx home goods wrap fragile stuff...and the picture frame was not cheap....So you can guess what happened....Yes, it broke....big time....Won't be coming back....Do better..... read more

The last remaining Kirklands store in Las Vegas, as the other ones are reported as Closed. When you open the door, you instantly smell all of the candle scents. We visited yesterday. It is all about the SUMMERWEEN. I am serious. It is right there, in the front, left and right, of the store. There were some very cute pillows. Ghosts and all things Halloween. There were some Halloween PJ's, Halloween sweatshirts, which were very cute. The Clearance section is to the far back right of the store. An additional 40% off the marked prices. I noticed lots of initial'ed items. A really long time ago, when our stringbean was a wee one, there used to be a little table for the wee ones to color, but they did away with it. This place is very pretty and well organized. I've been here twice within the past few weeks and the staff have been friendly and helpful. A lot of home decor to browse. First time in my life I've ever experience glassware made from silicone! I thought it was frosted glass at first, but nope... silicone. Wild. This is the first time I've ever written a review about a home store. I have had nothing but negative encounters with the manager April. I'm not sure If she hates her job, people or both, but she has a real bad attitude. I feel sorry for the staff working under her. I was very polite when returning an item that didn't work in my home. April acted like she's bothered when it's just a part of the job she applied for. I won't return to the store simply because of the rude manager. I'm not sure if the hiring manager makes it a point to hire employees who lack basic customer service skills, but that is what you get when you enter this store. No greetings, no service, and goodness forbid you ask anyone a question. Every single employee acts like the customer is an inconvenience and that they would prefer to be anywhere else. Great place to browse for some new decor! Lots of inexpensive gift ideas too. They have some cheap prices on wall art, especially the larger sized pictures. The decor includes a nice range of styles also, from bold and colorful to muted, and lots in between. If you like metal wall art, you'll find that here too! Seasonal stuff is prominent here as well. This isn't fancy stuff, it's pretty good quality stuff for the price. Other than wall art, Kirkland's carries lighting, including floor and table lamps. Many sizes of clocks are on display too, and they always seem to have a sale such as 25% off everything in one section or one type of item. I purchased one clearance item, a wall mirror, that was $9 after the additional 25% off per signage in the store. During my last visit here, I heard a salesperson offer an incoming customer a coupon for 25% off one regular priced item. That wasn't offered to me. Boo hoo! They have a loyalty club that I don't know much about because I find it easier to print coupons from their Web site than join another club. read more

I was in over the weekend and Alyssa and another associate were very helpful. Helped me locate everything I needed. Unfortunately when I got home some of the items were damaged. I returned them later in the week. Alyssa and Sarah were very helpful. Made the exchange simple. Opened the new boxes and made sure everything was to my satisfaction before I left. I'm totally in love with the place!! I'm utterly addicted! It's great for finding unique items for your home you didn't even know you wanted! I love buying gifts for my family from this place as well since I'll be sure they don't have it and I won't end up getting something someone else got as well! This place always smells delightful. I have been to all locations in Vegas, but this one is closest to my house. For Christmas last year, I requested gift cards to Kirklands if anyone asked what I wanted. You guys have such cute home decor. I dont think I have ever left empty handed with any visit. I had something particular in mind and found the one I wanted here at the Summerlin location. It was on sale plus a coupon! It was almost sold out too so I called to hold my item a few days out and they had no problem with it. I don't enjoy the parking at Downtown Summerlin, I'm sure you know why by now. But Kirkland's location here is perfect, right across the parking lot so I was basically in and out. Experience: The salespeople were friendly, greeted us upon entry and very eager to help. They found my porch sign too quickly but I still found time to find a cute treasure for the guest bathroom hehe. And... ran into an old friend, she tells me that practically all her house decorations are from Kirkland! There's a Kirkland closer to where I live but I'm noticing that this place has more items in stock considering this store is bigger. So check online for stock availability to save time. read more

I love Kirkland's and I'm so glad there is a location near my home. It's been over 2-years since I've been to one since I moved from SoCal. And because I bought a new home and it's the holidays, I'm excited about home shopping. Just to be clear, Kirkland's has home accessories, not home furnishing and bedding. They have your floral, vases, wall art, accent tables, and so on. Home items are reasonably priced. So this makes it way to easy to do some home shopping every season, every holiday or for just any reason. They have a lot of items under $100. This is a store you can visit every week because the sales are good and people or women that live in the big houses near the shopping center are shopaholics. My mission for this visit was to purchase lamps as I've been searching for a couple of weeks. The sale today was 30% off the first item. Many of the lamps were over $50 - $120. But as I made my way around the store and was almost done, I found a lamp for $39.99. So I bought two....YAY! The hunt is over. I just wish they sold light bulbs. So if you're on the hunt for home accessories, be sure to make Kirkland's one of your stops. read more

This brand new Kirkland's just opened up 2 weeks ago and I'm so excited about it! Summerlin area needed a Kirkland's and Downtown Summerlin mall is the perfect place for it. I came into to see what new things were in stock and was pleased to see brand new items that just came this week on Tuesday. I also love the fact that as soon as I entered the store I was immediately greeted by a friendly sales person. I bought 3 cute wall decorations for $21.00, which is a great deal. All I can say is WOW! I have always been a fan of Kirkland's I usually go to the eastern location but I was in the summerlin area so I decide to give this location a go. Not only do they have the cutest Christmas decorations, They have the best staff I have ever come across. Erika greeted me as soon as I walked into the door and informed me of the 20% off they were having that day. She was also the one to check me out, Erika made sure that my rewards were on file and I got my points. I ordered a mirror online for my daughter for her bday. It was easy and quick enough however, I had to call the store to see if it was in yet as I hadn't received notification. It was indicated that I would be contacted by email or a phone call and hadn't received either one. The young lady who answered the phone seemed annoyed that I asked her to insure that it was not damaged prior to my going to pick it up. During the initial shut down and the store having curbside pickup only, I didn't want to drive so far to pickup a damaged item and jump thru hoops to get it exchanged or replaced. They have specific assigned parking slots that you call into the store when you arrive and they will bring you items out to you. read more

Went in looking for small sofa tables and entry way tables - we're building a new home- the selection was wonderful. Got a lot of great ideas and could see myself coming back again and again. Cute throws too. I only had a $20 purchase but the lady at checkout lost her marbles when I wouldn't sign up for her email club or whatever it's called. Like was hostile. She argued with me about the $10 I could save if I signed up. I told her no repeatedly and then she lectured me all kinds of garbage. I was about to wrap up the sale while steaming inside, but then my coupon wouldn't work on the item and then the item that was in a sale section all of a sudden wasn't "included". I'm standing there haggling with the woman for like $3. Lol I don't have time for this!! I understand that there are probably growing pains going on at this location, but they really need to get it together. Learn proper social etiquette and learn how to treat a customer. I don't care about the $3, I went in looking to spend $300+.. but the customer service left a bad taste in my mouth and I left empty handed. I do not see myself going back. The customer service at this location is what drags down their rating. I love Kirkland's products. They have great prices and routinely run sales. Let me preface this by saying they were slow when I was there. There were maybe 10 customers and I saw at least 4 or 5 employees. Most of the customers were just looking. The entire staff in this store needs to be fired in order for me to ever walk in here again. I came in by myself. No one greeted me, but subsequently spoke to other much older customers (fyi:I might not be a middle aged but my money spends & I like to decorate my house too). I was walking around because I wanted to buy something, but didn't have anything specific in mind (retail therapy). I got the feeling that someone was standing behind me. I turned around and it was an employee. Their first reaction was to turn and walk away like I had just caught them doing something they shouldn't have been. She took a couple of steps away the did another 180° turn and asked if she could help me. I told her no. About 10 minutes later, same thing happened again. Finally I found a super large painting that I wanted. I needed help with it. I flagged down one of the employees walking around. She told me she was helping someone else. Then walks up to an older person, says something briefly, and carries the lady's items (tiny things that the lady was holding in her hand) to the register. I asked a second person for help, he didn't even acknowledge me. After waiting for 5 minutes and no one coming back to help me while they kept looking at me from the register (where they were huddled up), I left. Plenty of places sell large paintings for $100-200. They don't have a monopoly on them. It's not worth the hassle here. TLDR: Somehow this place manages to ignore you and make you feel uncomfortable at the same time. With brick and mortar stores closing routinely you would think that existing stores would focus on retaining customers and attracting new ones. They couldn't give worse customer service if they were actively trying. read more

Spent a lot longer then ten minutes and came home with a few bags times three. Smells heavenly. Employees were so nice and helpful, and they have coupons online and they actually honor them! Kirklands is great store. It's a perfect place where to find nice things for your house. 5 stars to the store but 1 star to lady who works there. (On my receipt I have Ann, might be the same person). She was so pushy with different offers and got impolite when I didn't give my email for specials. She even didn't ask me would I like to give my email but I needed to give it to her. I thought costumers has a choice. And when I talked to my friend, she said the same thing that's why she is not going there anymore. Company definitely need to spend more time to teach employees how to treat customers. read more

From previous experience I tend to avoid the summerlin store location but things seem to have improved greatly! When I used to come in the customer service left a lot to be desired. A woman with red hair seemed less interested in me and more in getting in her next cigarette.(I could smell it anytime she walked by) But I didn't want to drive across town so I had to stop back in. Well i stopped in two days ago at around 5:15ish I was helped by Lisa and she actually showed interest and was helpful! These changes are what generate business people!!
