I bought a couple watches from Micheal Kors and I really love them. They're extremely versatile and you can wear them with anything. The only thing I had a problem with was they didn't tell me when you sized them they were final sale. I wouldn't have gotten one of them sized if I knew it was final sale. The worker said it's mentioned on the receipt and it's not so it definitely just upset me that it wasn't mentioned to me because they can put the links back in... Frustrated to say the least. I purchased a purse for my wife for Christmas that she opened. It was never used or worn, just unpackaged. I came back to the store in time with ALL my receipts and the bag in perfect condition. I was told some special "tag" or "barcode" was missing. I asked if they could use the one from the purse on their shelf that's the exact same model, they claimed they couldn't. I then asked to speak to management who wouldn't even come from the back to help. Very frustrated as MK is one of our favorite brands. Even customer service phone was confused by the store's response. Will not be shopping here again. Great customer service, period. I looked high and low for a product before Christmas and found it at the Brea location online. I was unable to pick it up immediately and made arrangements for pick up on a later date. I walked in a couple of days later and was out in 10 minutes or less with my product. Unfortunately, the item was not something my wife was pleased with. I took the item into the Brea location on a busy Saturday morning and once again, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. This is for my in store pick up after calling for an item they had on sale. My girlfriend who lives out of the country asked me for a favor to check in an item we had for sale here in the states. She couldn't believe the guitar straps they had for sale went from retail $98 down to $10 for the sales price. I checked online to try to order one without having to leave the house but unfortunately it was an in store item only if available. I checked to see the quantities they had for the closest surroundings stores to my house but it only said few stocks left in store. I decided to give this store a call to see if they had any. Lucky for me the associate whom helped me found TWO he said was available. Both brand new from the back still in its packaging. I asked him if I could purchase it over the phone but was told I could not for security reasons. Understandable. I then asked if I could have it placed on hold as I would be there before noon to pick up the strap. Super glad he was able to do so for me and I made my way over asap. After arriving to the store I asked if its possible to see the two straps. The associate who helped me said actually there was only 1 left and not 2. Even though I was clearly told two was left in stock. Either way I was pleased with the service I recieved and was happy I was able to find a strap for my girlfriend and not go hunt all over to find it at a steal. Defiantly, not my first time here! I have never had a problem.My daughters and I went in looking for a backpack. As we walked in a caucasian tall lady who was fixing items just looked at us and continued doing what she was doing. Never addressing us or asking if we needed anything, but she did kept looking at us to see what we were doing. Couple of minutes later a caucasian lady with her daughter came in and the sales rep. stopped what she was doing, walked to them and greeted them with open arms asking if they needed anything. I have never felt so disrespected because of my Latin look. Even my daughter felt the racism. It should not matter if you are Latin, Asian, Caucasian, African American I believe we ALL have the right to the same respect. Maybe your sales rep need a retraining in customer service. read more

I love Michael Kors. He's the type of designer who knows EXACTLY what women want. Plus, he's hilarious if you've ever watched Project Runway before. I've always fawned over all of his clothes, but unfortunately, this store doesn't have a very big clothing selection. They probably only have about 30 outfits total - some pants, a few zipper jackets, and some sequined tops. Disappointing variety, but they do carry A LOT of...(wait for it)..... PURSES! :) I'm seriously beyond in love with all of his bags. The selection is insane - far better than Coach and comparable to Louis Vutton. The styles are classic, so they can last many seasons, but they're also super chic and trendy with the times too. I couldn't stop drooling over a good number of bags and matching wallets/clutches. I felt like I was in heaven. The sales representatives in here are also really nice, unlike the pretentious peeps who work at Coach. Most of the bags are reasonably priced at around $200-300, which I think is pretty decent for a quality handbag. After all, we women should spoil ourselves once in awhile, no? :) read more

I came to this Michael Kors location as it's the closest to my home. I ordered a handbag online and it came in with a few parts of the hardware scuffed and tarnished. I was a bit disappointed that MK would ship out bags like that. So I decided to go to a store location to see if they would be able to help me out. The manager Melissa was extremely kind and friendly. She ended up having 4 bags in the back that were like mine. She was patient, and took the time to bring the last two from the back while I checked and inspected the bags with my OCD-ness. I ended up doing an even swap with the handbag, and she even boxed it up nicely with a bag (I never came in with one). She was completely sweet, I wish I had gotten her name! This location is one of the nicest and friendliest of MK's. I feel stressed out at the MK at South Coast Plaza all the time, and I just avoid it now. They have the tendency to try to push sales on you. I never feel at ease going there. I've purchased all my MK bags from this location (it should definitely tell you something). I will be back, comfort and customer service is everything! EDIT: To my surprise I received a personal letter from Melissa on my purchase. I was blown away because it was hand written (how often do we receive hand written letters nowadays?!) and she was a total sweet heart! You guys have received a lifelong client. Hi I just want to post a review for the Michael Kors store in the Brea mall. The staff was amazing and I have to start by saying that David was incredible. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the purses that were available and on sale. He helped me pick out an absolutely beautiful brand new black Michael Kors purse. I will post a picture of it at a later time as it is wrapped for my birthday present on Saturday. I also got the matching wallet to go with it. He wrapped it up beautifully... took his time and was so very friendly and personable. The managers name was Kaitlyn and the other staff members name was Chloe all three were extremely nice friendly and knowledgeable. This was my very first MICHAEL kors bag and I am so excited for my birthday to open it up in front of my friends and family. I fell in love with the olive green Mercer large leather tote but waited to long to get it online and everywhere was sold out. I called the corporate online number and they said it was sold out online but the stores may have it. I tried the South Coast Plaza location and they did not have the purse, but when I asked if they could check nearby stores in their system just to give me a list to help save my time they said they could not and I would need to call each one. I next tried the Brea location and spoke with an employee named Markie. She was amazingly helpful and even though she did not have it in her store, she immediately offered to look in her system for it at another store to see if they could get it shipped for me. I was shocked as the South Coast Plaza employee told me they couldn't do that. She said that she had found a few stores that did say they had it, but couldn't guarantee it as inventory can be off due to holds, displays etc. She then went the extra step and said that she would call them to find out if they actually did have it. At this point even if they would have called back and told me they couldn't find it I would have still been impressed as they already went above and beyond. Within 10 minutes another employee Vivian called me back to let me know they had located it!! She helped to process my information so that I could have my purse sent directly to me at no extra charge. Since it was a phone order from a city not near me my bank marked the transaction as fraud. Vivian called me immediately to let me know. As I worked to get this cleared with my bank, Vivian and Markie continued to follow up with me to ensure the transaction went through properly. The icing on top of the already amazing cake was when Markie called me about 2 hours later after everything was done just to check in and ensure that I received all the confirmation emails. Talk about amazing service!! While the Brea Mall is my LEAST favorite mall for other reasons, I definitely will be shopping at the Brea Michael Kors location and not South Coast in the future. Thank-you Markie for going above and beyond in the first place. As a former 8+ year retail employee you and Vivian blew my expectations out of the water. Epic fail tonight at Michael Kors Brea Mall. Tried to return a purse I had purchased as a gift for my wife. I lost my receipt but still had the tag on the purse, as well as my credit card it was purchased on, plus reference to my online order the same day. Was told that I could not get my money returned and also not even a gift card offered. I had to have my wife come over to the store and do the exchange right there for something in store. Apparently they are concerned you'll use your gift card at better Michael Kors store location. Poor return policy, next to zero service offered in decent return option. Will not be coming back here again. Do yourself a favor and visit Tory Burch or Kate Spade. Much better service and selection. read more

This past week has been super stressful and I decided to give myself a little pick me up in retail therapy! So like always I went online first so that I have an idea of what I like. I found the jet set pebbled continental wallet and knew almost with complete certainty that the wallet would be on my purchase list. The next day (thursday) I went to the mall and the first thing I did was come into the store to only be greeted from a distance with lackluster enthusiasm. I asked where the wallets where and the man directed me to them. They did not have the exact one I was looking for, but had the same print and leather color, but different zipper color so I asked him if they had any with silver hardware. He responded saying they did not, and when I told him I saw it online he just stated "I have been working here for four years and we never use silver hardware on the wallet" I was taken a step back and pulled out my phone to show him what I was talking about. He was at a loss for words then just said that Neiman Marcus owned the website so he wouldn't know then walked off to the other male sales associate and said something softly and they both looked it my direction and smirked. Excuse me? I am a potential client and they have the audacity to degrade me while still in the store?! I was so offended! This isn't the first time I have had problems with this location either! many of the associates say one thing then when I disagree or don't approve they change their mind! I want honesty, not to just be on someones sales list! Michael Kors as a person says what he feels and I believe that his employees should not put on a facade just to make a buck! I already have multiple products from MK, but this was possibly the final straw! I ended up going to Coach, Fossil, and Apple to get everything I was looking for; in different styles obvious, instead.... THESE stores had FABULOUS customer service, and took the time to understand their clients. Fire those to men and maybe I will come back to the brand, but for now I will go where I feel welcome. read more

I really love the bags they have here. I bought my bag from Neiman Marcus but I got a scratch on the bag and they said they couldn't do anything about it. I went to MK Brea to see if anything they could do about it. They sales associate was very helpful and tried to look to see if there could be a replacement and referred me to a repair shop nearby. The male associate told me that the scratch might just fade over time and really gave me peace of mind which is very good. Service is really good here even though I didn't even buy the bag from their store! read more

The bag I wanted was also on sale (25% off) and I asked the lady who "helped"(as in was useless) me and said: "even if there was a sale, we cannot honor it." Are you f-ing serious. It was the lady's fault for giving me the wrong bag and you can't honor it. In this time frame, I had told them the bag I originally wanted was on sale the day I came in and I had pointed where it was and the manager was there and he straight up said "only selected items" okay, so called "manager" no need to be a total dick about it. ***Just because Christmas sale is over doesn't mean you employees need to act so careless to your customers. After this bad experience, will shop somewhere who is kind enough to understand my situation instead of being rude, and do something about it.*** Never coming back here again. read more

This store is pretty small, but they still have a good handbag selection. I went in here with my friend to browse one of the jet setter purses that I have had my eye on for a while. The first lady who helped me was really nice. She showed me the bag (the first one I saw was the black one), told me about the compartments, how my laptop could be put in the middle zipper area (has some padding for protection), and let me put my notebook and such in there to see if everything would fit. She then took me further back in the store to show me all the other colors that they had for this purse. I was glad to see them, but It takes me a while to decide if I want the bag and if so, what color I want. I felt slightly awkward because my friend and I were the only ones there and it felt like every staff member kept watching me and waiting for me to buy it. The pressure was on, but of course I didn't buy it. I was torn between two colors, and I wanted more time to decide. It felt like I had let them down big time, but hey it's my money and my decision! I wanted to get my purse fix cuz I haven't had it for a year and they told me I had to have a receit, which I was never told when I have bought purchases there. Then to be in there system you have to sign up for there newsletter which I think is ridiculous especially when they don't tell you that information when you make a buy! They did nothing for me there, pushed me alone and just handed me a card. Being an expensive store you would think there customer service would be excellent and would have a better system so whoever buys from them they can look them up. Michael Kors has the absolute worst customer service ever. Their return policy is ridiculous and if you buy something on sale, they fail to tell you the sale will be final. No returns, exchanges or store credit. They are also very incompetent when it comes to sizing your watch. I will never,ever shop at a Michael Kors Store.
