Cheese enchiladas - okay at best
Marcie S.

Was looking forward to eating at Mi Tierra since we used to have one in Woodinville and it was one of my favorites. Looking at the menu, it was hard to tell if it was in fact the same family restaurant, so I opted for my usual cheese enchiladas. The food took a while to arrive, despite it being after the lunch hour and the place being relatively empty, and it was very bland. I'm not sure how to describe it other than the food tasted almost stale like my tortillas weren't fresh. I was so hungry I forced myself to eat it, I'm just hoping I don't regret this decision later. While all of us cleared our plates, none of us thought the food was especially good. It was very much "okay at best". I hate writing three-star reviews but if there was ever a three-star Mexican restaurant, this is it. Bummed about our experience and will opt for somewhere else along this drive next time.

Homemade chips and salsa

Was in town and stopped in for lunch. I ordered the beef burrito lunch special that came with rice and beans. The food and service were excellent. I really enjoyed the fresh chips and salsa as well. Great local restaurant.

Came here with my mom for lunch. We ordered an appetizer and each had a lunch special. Excellent food and service. Loved everything we had. Definitely will be back.

This was our first time visiting here and it was amazing. First let's start with the service. They were friendly, they kept our drinks filled and were just overall awesome. The food, my wife says the chili Colorado was perfect. She even says it was by far the best one she ever tasted. My sons and I went for one of our favorites the Nachos. The nachos were full of flavor making me sorry I didn't come in as hungry as I normally would have. If I was to have any complaint, it would be that the size of the nachos felt slightly smaller than most other restaurants, but at the same time the price seemed a bit cheaper too. My brother really enjoyed his burrito but what really stood out across the table, was the salsa. We must have went through 6 different dishes of salsa and unlike lots of restaurants that offer free chips and salsa these dishes were decent sizes. Overall we are really excited to have discovered this place and are extremely thrilled with the service and food, especially the salsa.

Mexican Stir-Fry

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday after spending some time at the fairgrounds. A fairly large menu but I settled on the Mexican Stir-fry and horchata. I was impressed by the serving size and overall flavor of the dish as a mound of grilled veggies and chicken was piled on top of a bed of rice. One of the better horchata I've had recently with lots of cinnamon added. I was also able to share the Camarones con Ajo and Queso Fundido appetizers with others at the table. The first is a meal on its own and both are recommended.

Mi Tierra is my favorite restaurant in Monroe for date night or family dinner, great service, they always greet you with a smile and are very attentive. Food is amazing - some of my favorites dishes are street tacos, ranchero chicken salad, and can't beat their ultimate margarita.

A great spot to visit after a hike at Wallace Falls. Great food, nice staff, and a comfortable clean dining room.

I really like their food - I like the variety and haven't seen their offerings at other restaurants. The service is generally good overall.

I went with the machaca (tender shredded beef with eggs), and it was incredible, super tender, rich, and packed with flavor. We also shared the garlic parm wings, which were crispy and addictive, and the chips & guac were fresh and done right. Our kid had a quesadilla and loved it. One of the coolest touches was the kids menu! it's interactive and even teaches them how to count to 10 in Spanish, which is such a fun and thoughtful detail. Great food, welcoming vibe, and an awesome brunch experience all around. We'll definitely be back!

Monroe, Washington, April 2026…read more This colorful building is located on the main street in downtown Monroe. The minute you walk in you are greeted immediately. An older gentleman and a younger guy were quick to tell us we could sit wherever we wanted as it was a Sunday evening. Booths line the wall and there are about four tables in the middle of the restaurant. Very small, but very colorful and extremely friendly staff. We were quickly asked for a drink order and they brought chips and salsa. The chips were a perfect thin yet crunchy texture. The salsa was very flavorful. It had chunks of onions and lots of cilantro. However, I wish the salsa was spicier. We both ordered chicken and beef enchiladas à la crema. The presentation was nice and I'm so glad there was no lettuce decorating my plate. My whole beans came in a little tortilla cup but the rice lacked flavor. It taste more like a puréed risotto. The enchiladas were covered in the cream sauce that also had cheese. There was no flavor to the cream sauce and the chicken was extremely dry. I liked the flavor of the whole beans. They don't give you a full basket of chips when you sit down. So we asked for more as they were delicious. But then we received only a quarter of a basket this second time. They don't post prices of the soda or the drinks. When we inquired to see a bar menu, they said they had none that we could order anything we want. We asked the price of a particular drink and he said don't worry. When I receive my bill, my non alcoholic bottle of Heineken was $7.25. I think that is outrageous for a nonalcoholic beer. I will give this place three stars because the chicken was tough and dry. The cream sauce was boring and the salsa needs spice.
