I have never been in this subway and I will never go back. My very first experience was absolutely horrible. I didn't even bother buying a sandwich because the person was so rude. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU A TIP AND SAY YOU LEFT IT AND WILL NOT REFUND IT! Check your receipts!! My total came to $20.44 and I was charged $24.52 - after tapping my card! When I asked why the amount changed after I tapped and he said "you must have given me a tip - thank you" and went to the back! I said I did NOT tip you!! He refused to speak to me. When I got back to my office - I called, he answered and told me that I tipped him and again I said that I did not! Who tips at Subway? I've been to all the Subway locations here in Monroe, and I can confidently say this is the worst one out of all of them. Every time we've gotten a sandwich here, the bread has been less than fresh, & it all tastes old. Recently, I got Italian bread which is supposed to be a type of white bread. Instead, I got some dark, stale/dry, burnt tasting bread. Kind of tasted like wheat maybe? But my fiance got wheat and his looked more white? Added tons of veggies with little meat and little sauce. Just noticed also there was no cheese as I had requested. We will not be going back to this location even though it's the closest one to us. And definitely never order online for pickup because stale burnt bread is what you will get. read more

Please avoid the chicken here. I got food poisoning from this location 2/28/2020 within 12 hours of eating a chicken bacon ranch sandwich. I reported it to the health district out of an abundance of caution. I'd like to say this was the only time it's happened, but it's not. This is the second time this happened with the exact same sandwich. My child who ate roast beef was fine. It really was the chicken as I only eat one sandwich at Subway. read more

This Subway is terribly mismanaged. I went in today during the lunch hour and they were out of bread. The lady working said to come back in 10 minutes. WARNING: Do not go to the Subway at Fryelands in Monroe!! Poor customer service, rude person at the counter! All i wanted was sandwiches and ordered a Door Dash pickup and the guy behind the counter acted like i was a major inconvenience for him to make my sandwiches! He said he couldn't prep any of my sandwiches but then made them all. Ummm, ok! He told me that he only has one rotisserie chicken left and he needed to save it for the week so he was wanting to cancel my order and send me to another Subway. (It's not my fault that you only have one chicken left, what happened to first come, first serve). He told me he doesn't have any pickles but he had some in the little container. I let him know i was going to contact his manager tomorrow and he said, "You tell me that after i make your sandwiches." Umm, what is that supposed to mean? He told me he has our conversation on video. I said, "that's great". Then, a lady came in when i was leaving and he told her they were closed (they don't close until 9). Extremely unhappy with the new management. It is often understaffed with one worker at prime hours. Ordered online the other day and when I got there the girl said the printer that prints the orders out was broken so she had no idea what my order was. Okay, not her fault. She made it right by making my sandwich right away and apologized profusely. She said she'd been trying to fix it for the last half hour. Where was her manager or boss to guide her? Or even another employee to help man the sandwich making while she fixed it? And now for the finale, the place closes at SEVEN ON WEEKENDS. It used to be open until at least 9! I get closing early on a Sunday but Saturday too?!? I will take my business to one of the many other Subways in town even if it's a further drive just because of this, even when they ARE open! read more

There are several Subways in town (almost at a comical level) and this is the one that I will not longer patronize. The reason for this may seem small, but to me it is enough of a reason to rate them poorly. Every time I have gone in here, I ask them "Could I have a kid's size sandwich, but not the meal...just the sandwich" (My son has fruit at home, doesn't need applejuice or cookies) Every. Single. TIME. the cashier starts to do it and the pee-on manager stops them and says "My supervisor says we can't do this, you have to pay for the whole meal". The other Subways in town have NO PROBLEM doing this. In fact, the other subway employees in town say that this branch is full of it, because they are all owned by the same owner anyway and he or she does not make that rule to them. So what's up, Fryelands Subway Store Manager? Why is this a rule only at your place of operation? To me it seems shady...like the supervisor is trying to cook his sales numbers or something. Either way, it is only a mild inconvenience to me, but when there are other options in town, I simply won't go there. I will go to the branches that actually care about helping customers out when they ask. Also, on a side note - the employees here are a LOT snottier than other ones. Always looking purse-lipped and cranky. Not many reasons to go there. read more

Each time I've been spoken to like I'm a pain in their you know what and they don't really care about keeping customers. I went to the Subway on Frylands today... horrible!!!!! Horrible food and service!!! I will NEVER go back. First of all I went to order my sandwich.. and the girl was completely rude. I wish I got her name, but no one was wearing name tags. She was heavy set, Caucasian, with a bun a glasses. She went to put my meat on my sandwich and it was green and brown. I told her it didn't look good, she said it's only because the meat was exposed to air. Well if i had that meat in my fridge at home I would call it spoiled and throw it out, as it looked very unsafe and very unappealing. I asked her if I could get some fresher looking deli meat, and first she tried to turn it inside out, so I wouldn't see it. Then when I told her I do not want that spoiled meat, she took it off and literally THREW it as hard as she could into the garbage can looking extremely pissed off at me. I'm sorry I don't want to eat rotten meat.. and get sick??!! Any subways logo "eat fresh" Then when the veggie part came.. the guy looked like he was half asleep and barely put any veggies on my sandwich and it practically had half a container of mustard on it. When I opened my sandwich it was literally dripping with mustard, and went all over my pants and dog. I get we all have bad days.. but the girl that tried to serve me rotten meat then was angry at me?? She should be fired., I have worked in customer service my whole life, if I treated anyone like that I'd be fired. The Hispanic lady that took my money, was friendly and nice. My husband and I decided we didn't want to cook dinner tonight so we came to subway. We've gotten sandwiches here a few times and it's usually fine but tonight was awful. Before we even started ordering the woman behind the counter lashed out at us saying she didn't appreciate us making fun of her and that she was already having a horrible night. This was so confusing because my husband and I didn't even know what she was talking about. We came into the shop laughing and smiling, but in no way was it about her and we did nothing to provoke her yelling at us. She was obviously having a bad evening, so we didn't say much, just told her we hoped her night got better and hurried out the door. I truly wish that this place was better because the store itself is gorgeous. Very unprofessional and immature staff members who truly do not care. Cell phone use, ignoring customers, and making HORRIBLE food. Staff didn't know how much tuna to put on a wrap (tried putting on half the amount), threw (literally) ingredients on, and then tried folding the wrap like it was a piece of paper. Had no idea what he was doing and he did not care, at all. I wish management wouldn't let this kind of stuff happen. I truly wish I could enjoy this store. read more

I have come several times and only keep coming because it's close to my house, every time the staff are rude and seem like they hate being there. This last visit I ordered a 6 inch sandwhich and then my daughter wanted the same kind so I said actually just make it a footlong. The lady making the sandwhich says you can't because it's different bread... even though it's the exact same and every single other Subway allows it. I don't have the energy to fight so I pay the $18 for our two 6" subs, drinks and chips. Then we sit down to eat and someone else comes in to order, the girl says to the person in line, "we have a special today, $6 for any footlong". I certainly would have gotten the same stupid bread to save $10 but apparently they only offer the specials to select customers. Pretty annoyed I'm still tolerable of my experience since this is Subway afterall; until I find a hard quarter sized chunk of plastic in my daughter's sandwhich. I brought it to the lady and her reply was that's weird, sorry... I guess we can remake it if you want... Sorry my toddler is done eating after she finds plastic in her food. UGH. I used to really like this place - but since the new store manager and staff changed, I have nothing but problems with EVERY SINGLE on-line order I make. Why does the site let you choose a time for it to be ready, if they just make it whenever the feel like it? It's always done 15-20 min early, meaning it sits there and is cold and/or soggy by the time I have my break. It's unfortunate, because I do like the food and give them plenty of business, my co-workers and I eat there a few times a week.... this is likely to change now though. I miss the old manager and staff, they need to make some changes in order to retain and gain back business. read more

Very lazy staff, never been to a Subway quite like it. Yesterday we had a large order, so we ordered ahead of time using the Subway app. The app said our food would be ready in 15 minutes, but we waited for about 30 minutes because I know Subways can get busy so we wanted to give them a little bit of extra time. We got there & the 2 girls working were standing around on their phones. We informed them we had placed an order on the app, and they walked over to the machine where the orders print out, and only then started making our order. So we had to wait an additional 15 minutes to actually get our food. My sister had ordered a salad and they made a tuna salad instead of the Turkey salad she had ordered. That was ok with her b/c she likes tuna too, but when she asked for salad dressing they looked at her like she was a complete idiot & informed her that they only had mustard & mayo if she wanted that. Apparently this is the only Subway out of the dozens I've been to that does not have any salad dressings. Rather than argue with the already rude employees, she decided to just go find some salad dressing at home. But when we got home, we realized we were also missing 2 of the items we had paid for. But again, we decided it wasn't worth going back & having to deal with the incompetent employees again. Will never go back to this Subway, worth driving further to go to another one read more

the worst experience I've ever had and I wasn't even eating at the location, my husband and I came in to say hello to his family that we happened to see when we walked in the man at the register said we are closed RUDE NOT EVEN A HELLO it was probably about 10 minutes to closing time we told him we were not eating and he nodded and said it was okay then while my husband's family was still finishing there food the man working stood at the door and opened it holding it open he looked at us until we stood up to eat. Just left this Subway and will never return. Manager said credit card system was down so only cash would be accepted. This is the third time I've encountered this problem the previous two said I could come and pay next time I was in the neighborhood. Once was a $22 dollar order. This am my son had $7 dollars the order was $8 and some changes. The manager said no deal. I offered to come back. I offered to leave debit card number and signature. Still no deal. Probably spend $60-80 a week there during sports seasons. Never again. There are 3 other Subways within 2 miles. read more

Oh man, where to begin... I went in today to get the 2 sandwiches I always get there (I live close and this is the only subway) the girl behind the counter named katelyn who obviously had an attitude asked me "what kind of sandwich" I told her I needed two sandwiches, explained the bread, and type of sandwich and you would have thought I was ruining her entire day. She hastily got out the bread and literally threw the ingredients into the middle of the bread and asked me if the sandwiches were gonna be toasted, before I said yes, I asked her if she could kinda spread everything out and if looks could kill, I would be dead. She lazily fixed the toppings and shoved them in the toaster and while they were toasting she made herself some food. Not to just pick on her, but I work in a restaurant and were not aloud to make our food ourselves and were only aloud to eat on our lunch breaks, anyways, she got them out and then asked "what do you want" I assumed she meant what do you want on them so I told her, she yet again just threw everything on there lazily in the middle and wrapped them up for me, charged me, and I left.
