My wife says, I ordered a charcuterie board for a Halloween party and it was fantastic. We returned the board to the store and stayed for lunch. I had been searching for a cranberry turkey sandwich and Heidi's was the only place I could find one. It was so good! We also ordered the BLT and tried both the potato salad and macaroni salad. We recently discovered this lovely spot & we were delighted with the extensive sandwich options! I had the Rueben, which was hands down the best of my life. The tomato soup was also delicious! The menu also has salads, flatbreads & a variety of desserts. We will be back to try the Charcuterie board as well, perfect for an early happy hour (as they close at 5). Heidi's Sandwichboard is a culinary gem located on First Street in historic downtown Snohomish. This was my first visit, never been and wasn't familiar with this spot. I was introduced to this lovely spot for a Yelp Elite event (4/5/25). Welcoming vibes from the counter staff. Aside from the complimentary half Turkey Cranberry sandwich, with pickle spear, and potato salad (usually $11.75), I also placed an additional order for the Italian Stallion ($16.75). All the lunch items were nicely prepared and boxed up for takeout. I appreciated the flatware, napkins, and everything securely bagged up. There is some outdoor seating right outside the entrance. However, there is vast interior seating and a separate tea room. The interior decor added warmth with lots of focal points and natural light. Menu has it covered with soups, salads, sandwiches, baked items, and beverages whether you dined onsite or decided on takeout. Terrific options for lunch, indulge in some wine and a charcuterie plate, or have leisurely afternoon tea service. I saw some platters being arranged and wrapped for a catering event. I opted to dine at one of the public seating spots with a great riverside view. The generous, fresh, quality ingredients were expertly prepared and definitely hit the spot. When I visited Heidi's Sandwichboard for a Yelp event, my husband tagged along. While I had my Yelp item, he bought the TunaCado sandwich with a side of soup. We loved the TunaCado sandwich, and the soup. We loved how fresh everything was. We also got a Strawberry Lemonade and enjoyed it. I came to Heidi's Sandwichboard for a Yelp Elite Experience and brought my wife along for lunch. I got my Yelp item while we bought her a BMT-Basil, Mozzarella, and Tomato full sandwich with the pasta salad and we shared a bowl of the Tomato Basil soup. Both were delicious. Totally fresh, homemade and tasty. I've never been inside Heidi's Sandwichboard but I've parked in front of it before when antiquing in the area. I remember noticing it as I LOVE sandwiches but wasn't hungry at the time so I made a mental note to try it one day. I'm very happy to have finally tried it. Inside the restaurant is very cute. The decorations over the entire business are super nice (Don't forget to check out the back room on the way to the bathrooms). It's close to Easter so the decorations were appropriate. I would describe the interior decorations as a eclectic vintage. It flows very well. I love the full sized bicycle decoration on the main dining wall in particular. The tables each had a bottle of water and glasses set on the tables so we could pour our own at our convenience. I had an organic lemonade with my meal also. We loved the food! It was very fresh and tasty. Overall, we had great service and got to meet Heidi at one point. She was very charming and told us the history of the place and some of her other ventures. Love the sandwiches here! The place is super chic and I was fascinated with some of their decor. I didn't even realize this was a sit down restaurant because i initially thought it was just like a deli. The servers were very nice and really attended to our n needs and they explained the menu pretty well. Definitely a must go to for some brunch menu and good for families. Parking though was so so I don't know if they have any dedicated parking lot but we parked by the streets and it see ed pretty full on a Friday lunch time. read more

Enjoyed a Saturday lunch with my Mum at Heidi's. The place was packed at 1pm. We tried the Turkey Cranberry and the Turkey Avocado. For sides we tried the potato salad and the tomato pesto soup. The staff were so kind and attentive despite being busy. The gluten free bread was definitely the only issue with the meal. I recommend for a $2 upgrade on bread they consider doing a higher quality and partnering with the Grain bakery just up the street. Overall 4 stars and glad we came today! read more

When your bestie says that this is her favorite sandwich spot, you gotta try it out! Located in the cutest town of Snohomish, I felt like I was stepping into a Christmas movie. Hot soup on a cold Washington day-- there's not really much more you can ask for. I got their cup of soup and it was the perfect portion to accompany a sandwich, but you can also get a half sandwich combo with a soup or salad. I ordered the turkey cranberry with sprouts and cream cheese. And it's like a Thanksgiving leftover sandwich served on sweet bread. The turkey is piled high and had such a nice bite to it. I ordered Uber delivery this morning as I caraved for Heidi's sandwich. The same sandwich from last time, super dooper with pastrami, potato salad and tomato pesto soup. Everything is so fresh you can tell they use good ingredients. Sandwich was soft and well assembled. Pastrami piled high! Tried potato salad and tomato soup for the first time. The soup is really creamy and rich with full of flavor. I really like this soup. No wonder it's popular. The potato salad was a little bland but would go well with sandwich with strong flavor. Popped in for a late lunch and they were busy but not no seats left busy. Food took about 15-20 minutes to come out. We were seated in the back with the rolling chairs by the bathrooms. Love this place so much. I'm partial to getting the same thing every time (the BMT - basil mozzarella tomato, hot, and add avocado it gets reeeeal messy so gotta get over that and ask for extra napkins lol) and a side of their incredibly delicious tomato pesto soup. Wish I could give 4.5. Just a tip- if you are in a hurry, get the food to go. We had a 10-15 min wait for a party of two around noon on a Thursday. Food took more than 35 mins after ordering. I have been to Heidi's twice, the first visit was great sandwich, although expensive the quality of the food was worth the price. I went again yesterday with friends and the food was not fresh at all! The bread for all of our meals was so dry we had to dip it in the soup we ordered to accompany the lunch. I wasn't sure about eating here - and boy was I wrong. I ordered the Rueben and the bread was nicely toasted - not soggy and it was so hot it was steaming. The sauce was great! The food is amazing here and the service is like a city as opposed to a small town, which means professionalism, care and efficiency. The ambience is upscale, and The pricing reflects that (you get what you pay for) my lone complaint is that we've tried to go two or three different times and it's been closed! Last time they were on vacation, which I hope keeps the staff happy, they sure do a good job. I will check the hours, but I think they're only open till about 5 Pm. I ordered to go so my review is on take out order: The staff member who took my order was super nice and helpful. I ordered the Italian stallion sandwich with a side of the tomato pesto soup. It only took 7-10 mins for my food to be ready. They packaged the sandwich up perfectly with the oil and vinegar on the side so the sandwich does not get too soggy - that is a pro move. Oyster crackers came with the soup. One of the best Italian sandwiches I've ever had! Hefty portion, delicious balance between the meats, cheese and mayo. Yum! It changed hands this past summer; since then they've added cocktails (I think). Service here is not necessarily the fastest but it's so friendly and warm. The pace is actually quite pleasant and mellow. They're in one of the many long, narrow, historic business spaces along 1st. Angle parking, lots of antique-shopping tourists and day trippers passing through. At night there are lots of 20-somethings chasing each other from bar to bar, but this place closes its doors at 5:00. You walk in to a long row of tables against a banquette with chairs on their open sides. There's a cocktail menu on the table already, and you get a greeting, water, and a menu quickly. Service is like a hug here, they really want to find out what you're in the mood for, and when they check back they really want to make sure you're enjoying it. Yes, that's what every server everywhere is assigned to do, but there's an extra level of sincerity here that's refreshing. That's kinda like the decor, in a way. They have old furniture everywhere, and offbeat creative signs. They're proudly competing at the moment to get bragging rights for best Christmas decorations in town. When I was young and cynical, I thought businesses that acted this way just had to be faking it, or their sense of humor might be too cute for me, or something. But here it feels like they're bringing the same sensibilities to both the way they treat their customers and likely how they treat guests at home. They like the old furniture, they like signs that make 'em smile. But what really matters here is the food and drink. They nail that stuff. You know before you even read anything else that this place has sandwiches, of course. They also have charcuterie, soup, salad, and flatbreads, along with a few apps. It's easy--almost automatic--to get in the mood for lunch, snacks, or a light (early) dinner here. French dip I keep saying I'm gonna try every french dip around and keep track of which ones I like best. Honestly, I might never bother after eating this one, I think it ruined me for all the others. Warm bread, truly toasted until it has a light crackle on the outside, good stack of beef, just the right amount of cheese, nice flavorful jus. I don't know how anyone could make a better one, but I hope lots of people are hitting this level. Carbs are a cheat and a treat for me anymore, and this one was so good it'd never occur to me to feel guilty for cheating. BLT This sandwich is shockingly easy to mess up at most places, and shockingly easy to do well if you just pay attention. This one is thankfully about as good as it gets. Chewy bread, chewy bacon, nice fresh tomatoes and lettuce. Just enough mayo to add the perfect flavor. Like the other sandwich the ratios are perfect between all the ingredients, flavors, and textures, and the bread is also toasted warm. That means the mayo disappears into the warm bread after a few bites...they brought us a little side of mayo to freshen the flavor! Such kind and generous service, even if you have odd little requests like we do. Soups They brought us a tiny side of the tomato/pesto, which they have every day. Delicious, a nice mix of sweet tomato and earthier, herbaceous notes. Great for dunking, great for a cold rainy day, great just if you're in the mood for hot soup. The bean and vegetable chowder was yesterday's special, and it kinda made ya feel like you're sitting at grandma's house eating a homey old traditional recipe. Delicious and very hearty. Pasta salad Here you can order dishes you haven't thought about in forever. It's like hearing an old favorite song that got overplayed and realizing how much you still enjoy it. This had nice tart vinegar and bright herbal notes in the dressing, plus thin slice of black olive. This is a timeless recipe that's good for even newbie home cooks to mess with, but the ingredients are just right here. We wanted to get crazy and order more, and it's a wise move on our part that we didn't. This filled us way, way up. Skinny Paloma A simple tequila cocktail, in a mason jar with salt on the rim and a straw for you. Tart and refreshing. French 75 Bright flavors, not much sparkle from the wine but that actually made it more enjoyable. We only had one each of these cocktails but if you're in for a day session you could do multiples and never get bored. There's a big dessert case with many temptations, too. Lots of people here hung out like they were practically at home, and their chats with the staff had the warmth you'd find in a happy home, much less a happy business.
