This is some of the best gluten-free cake and bread I've ever had in my life.
    Carrie M.

I really can't believe everything I ate from this sample table was gluten-free. Some of the best cake I've had gluten-free or not. The Baker was so wonderful and her designs and set up was perfect. She definitely knows what she's doing and understands trends in Cakes.

Such a treat! I don't have any dietary restrictions and still think their treats are so good. The bakery is adorable with cute seating areas and the even plant propagations for sale. Their baked good selections change daily but they always have both sweet and savory selections as well as cakes. We got their cookies and cream brownie, bacon scone, and vanilla berry cake. They were all delicious and I would happily get them again. We also got an oat milk cardamom rose latte and it was so good! Not sweet and had a good mix of cardamom and rose. We'll be back!

THIRD WAVE COFFEE IN SNOHOMISH! If you're looking for fruit forward, light roasted coffee you should give it a shot. They currently offer local roasters: Velton's Coffee & Makeworth Coffee as well as Moxie Coffee (my favorite) out of Phoenix. If I'm wanting an espresso--this is where I'm going. Clean, fruit forward, and well extracted shots. The best espressos I've had in this town have been shots of Moxie from here. Give it a go!

I rarely make it up to Snohomish, but now I have a reason to. This little cafe is mostly known for their gluten-free baked goods, but their coffee is really something special. I tried their "Wild" coffee, and it has notes of watermelon that you can actually taste. I'd drive out of my way just for this coffee, it's that good. The staff are also great. My order got a little mixed up (switched the espresso types and put in to go cups), but the staff were super kind and righted it as soon as they realized. I only tried their cardamom ginger molasses cookie sandwich (delicious and not too sweet), but I'll absolutely be back to try some of their other gluten-free goodies!

One of my favorite bakeries in the area. I think everything is gluten free but you would never guess it. A lot of keto variations as well if you're on a diet. Love all the savory scones, the cardamom ginger molasses cookies are delicious. Check out the day old stuff for 50% off!

I ordered a gluten-free cake for a joint 50th birthday party and it was honestly amazing. I'm always a little nervous about gluten-free desserts because they can be hit or miss, but this one was such a hit. The flavor was perfect , not overly sweet, and the frosting was just right. I live in West Seattle and decided to order from Grain Artisan Bakery after a poor experience with another bakery. From start to finish, the process was easy and stress-free. They gave great suggestions on cake flavors and even suggested a drizzle of caramel on the side, which was such a nice touch. I loved the simple elegance of how the cake turned out. Everything was exactly how we'd hoped, and it really made the celebration feel extra special. The drive to Snohomish was absolutely worth it for the kindness and overall great experience. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again, especially for something as important as a milestone birthday

I stumbled upon this place while exploring Snohomish and it was a nice surprise. It's a small shop but with a lot of different baked goods. They had croissant, scones, galletes, cookies cakes and bread. They were also selling day old items for discounted price. The person helping me was also very nice. He was able to recommend a couple of their popular items. I ended up getting: A regular croissant - this was pretty dense but was surprisingly good and still has the flake. However, after a day, it got super rich so I couldn't eat more than a few bites. It's not that big to begin with Galette - this was heavy but with the $9 price tag, it makes sense. The flavor was on point and it was pretty crunchy. It's probably really good warmed up in the air fryer or something Bacon scone --- I think it should be called a biscuit because it looks like a biscuit and it taste like a biscuit :) but it was a pretty good baked goods. Probably the favorite out of the 3. Overall, a pretty good bakery in this small town, i would stop by again if I'm in the area

As a gluten free person, this is the greatest place ever. I have loved everything I have ever had from here. Cinnamon rolls, cakes, cookies, etc. have all been amazing. I recently had a croissant from here and it was probably the best croissant I had ever had, including the non-gluten free ones I have had in the past. From my experience, they do sell out of the more popular items fairly quickly so try to go earlier on in the day!

Our wedding cake! Perfectly designed and executed.

Ask the Community - Grain Artisan Bakery

Do they have gluten free, egg free, nut free? and no cross contamination?

Not sure it's all that but I know it's gluten free, Keto and Paleo Not sure if no cross contamination or if it's nut free.…

How does this bakery work to prevent cross-contamination, especially for their celiac customers? I'm very wary of mixed bakeries unless stringent protocols are followed. I know people like to treat GF as a fad, but my health depends on this!

They're now totally gluten free and are waiting to get certified.

There were two girls working- probably in their late teens to early 20's- one behind the counter and the other one was cleaning. The girl behind the counter said there was no more apple thus could not do the orders, then the cleaning girl approached the counter and was pointing to the pie we wanted and told the other girl there was still a couple slices left of the apple crumble pie. The other girl working the counter started whispering something to the other girl while looking at us sort of giggling. Just a side note, I had a feeling the counter girl did not want to do anymore work since there was about 10 minutes prior to closing time. The counter girl opened their freezer and said "I'm sorry, but we're out of ice cream for the shakes, but we can make you pie scream." My 18 year old daughter and I looked at each other, and I think we were both thinking the same thing. I told the girl behind the counter "forget it" and we walked out of there. On our way out I said to my kids out loud, "sorry guys, I don't think the workers want to stay any longer than they have to." It is obvious that if there is ice cream for the pie scream, there IS also ice cream for the shakes: ice cream goes with both! I wasn't born yesterday, and they could've just told me to my face- and I would've been okay with it- "sorry we're about to close and we don't have time to make your orders", instead of making up some bs about "not having ice cream" when clearly they did. I would've totally been fine had she been honest about having to close soon. I just don't like being lied to. Regardless, if the workers do not want to serve customers 10 minutes before closing, perhaps think about locking the front doors so no customer comes in. Or, put the sign that reads "closed". Customers are not idiots, are more likely forgiving if you're honest, and they're the reason why a place exists and the workers get paid. One star for tonight's customer service only.

I'm stunned that the kitchen can stay on top of it while making tasty food and maintaining timely and competent service. Maybe they have a hidden genie helping them? In any case, it's impressive. My first time there was for dinner and I ordered some sort of steak dish on the server's recommendation. I have to say the sides were great but the steak was just "OK", because it had the downside of 90% of restaurant steaks: no crust. still, it was decently seasoned and cooked to a perfect mid rare; For breakfast, they absolutely hit it out of the park. The reason for the 1 star is these were not cheap cakes (which we expected for custom cakes) my daughter's cake was disgusting none of the kids wanted to eat it. The cake was vanilla cake with cherry filling and then the purple buttercream/cream cheese (cant remember which) fondant (icing). The actual cake part was hard and dry like it had been sitting out since it had been made and the fondant tasted like it had gone bad. Even with what happened with the 1st one my fiance wanted to try it again and thought that it was just the way we had ordered the 1st one (last minute throwing ideas together), so we order his son's cake. Originally for the 2nd cake my stepson wanted a chocolate cheesecake for his birthday and we were told in store that they could do it but we needed to email the owner, so i did. The owner said that wasnt something they could do and sent me a list of cake flavors, fillings and icing to pick from. So we chose funfetti cake, fudge filling and buttercreme (frosting) in the design of a race car track. As pictured, when we recieved the cake the fondant was pulling apart (which we didnt notice till after we had gotten it home) no big deal right, the fudge filling tasted off, this time the cake was moist however didnt taste like funfetti cake, to where the only thing the kids ate on that one was the fondant. I'm deeply upset at the amount of money we spent on cakes that we ended up just wasting because no one would eat them. I appreciate them taking the time to make these cakes however we will not be coming back.

In addition to olive oil and balsamic vinegar, the shop has all kinds of associated items -- pouring spouts and the like. While we tasted a great many flavors of olive oil, and quite a few balsamic vinegars, we keep going back to the same favorites time after time: * Traditional balsamic vinegar * Tuscan herb infused olive oil There are many other interesting flavors, but these stand the test of time. And while one can use them to make a great oil-and-vinegar dressing on a salad, our favorite way to consume them is with a fresh good-quality baguette, ideally made the same day by a real french bakery (like La Parisienne in Seattle). A little oil in a dish, a little balsamic vinegar poured through it, then a hunk of baguette dipped in the balsamic-tuscan-herb mixture. Yum!!
