    Maple Pecan Darling
    Anna C.

Such a cute bakery with a good selection! We got 5 items: 1) Cottage cookie: solid cookie! Perfect chewiness and softness and has a hint of coconut flavor. 2) Dutch apple darling: a must get!! Apples are sweet and the perfect softness, paired with the crispy and fluffy dough was just perfect. Not overly sweet nor sour. 3) Maple pecan darling: also a must get!! This was such a great dessert for my sweet tooth. The dough was fluffy and crispy and the nutty flavor was so good! 4) Almond Bostock: it's like an almond croissant, the outer edges are very crispy but the inside is softer! 5) Chocolate chunk rye: this one was interesting, it almost tasted like a coffee flavor to me. It was just a bit too salty for our tastes. The line moves fast and everyone is friendly, will for sure be back!

This is a wonderful bakery in the Edmonds/Lynnwood area - and there's not a lot of places like it nearby! My favorites were the apple darling and the cottage cookie but I can't wait to go back and try more!

A gem of a bakery in the Lynnwood area that is a must stop during my Costco and H-Mart runs. Stand outs from other bakeries in Seattle are there generous samples and incredible price of Stamp Act Coffee, one of my favorite Seattle coffee roasters, which can cost up to $26 per 12 oz bag elsewhere is a flat $15! I've had the Cottage Cookie, Cardamom Bun and Lemon Bun. My favorite is the cottage cookie of the three. Parking generous; check the hours!

This bakery is a hidden gem in the Perrinville neighborhood of Edmonds. Love their bread and baked goods. I've stopped by when they had samples of their French onion foccacia out, as well as their granola butter smeared on bread and it was all sooo good! On this last visit, I got the chocolate chunk rye cookie, maple shortbread and the dutch apple darling. All were delicious, but I would say the standout is the chocolate chunk rye cookie. I like being surprised when I show up because I never know what is available or what new item is on display that is calling my name. Service is friendly and prompt. Even with a line, it goes quickly. There are a couple of tables outside with chairs to enjoy your treats.

This place is a bread-lover's dream. As someone who worked in NYC bread bakeries for years, I have high standards and The Cottage is magical. First of all: samples. Little bites of pastry, cookies, bread? I was instantly sold. The line moved fast, the case was gorgeous, and their local merch selection? Also excellent, impeccable. But the bread... THE BREAD. We got a flaky sea salt focaccia (that only partially made it home) and a parmesan black pepper sourdough loaf, and I'm not exaggerating when I say we're now planning to drive out of Seattle every weekend for our bread fix. Moist, flavorful, perfectly balanced, and generously sized at unbeatable prices. The staff was super friendly and helpful, if I could give them literally infinite stars, I would.

The Cottage, Community Bakery has been in existence since 2018 and I enjoyed reading the background information provided on their website. Clearly, I have been under a boulder (not a rock) not having this amazing indie business on my radar screen sooner, learned about it only recently. Indeed there is a quality bakeshop with reasonable prices for north enders in the Perrinville area of Edmonds! I had stopped by on 11/25/24, only to find out that the site is closed on Mondays. My bad for not checking beforehand. I returned with a fellow Yelp Elite/IGer on 11/30/24 after our breakfast at nearby Bistro 76. One thing that was notable upon immediate entry was the amazing, tantalizing baking scent. I loved how the various stacked flour bags acted as instant customer flow barriers. Lots of merch, platters of samples, and I was glad for the line because it allowed me to gawk at the vast product line of artisan breads and other baked goods. I bought one each of the French Onion Soup Focaccia ($7), Lemon Bun ($4), and Chocolate Chunk Rye Cookie ($3). Delicious and satisfying - as how well crafted baked goods should be received. Also notable, very welcoming, well informed, and upbeat counter staff. Definitely recommended! Open Wed to Fri 8am to 6pm. Weekends 8am to 4pm. Closed Mon/Tues. Stop by early for best availability and selection.

Fav hidden gem in Lynnwood. Influencers please just shush!!! Lol. Whenever I get the chance, I always try to get my hands on their olive sourdough bread. Literal heart eyes. It's the perfect savory tangy bread to have with a shmear of cold kerry gold unsalted butter. And with little bit of chili oil on top???-- so effing amazing. You can ask for their bread sliced as well. I'm sure any selection you just can't go wrong. But that olive sourdough... you can't get anywhere else. It's so great to just gift or bring to your fancy dinner party with friends. Also great to pair with some fresh oysters and red wine. I also grabbed their lemon pastry and it was so delightful. Anyways, I love you cottage bakery.

Haven't gone to the store but have bought bread from Kenmore farmer's market. Fresh and delicious but spendy.

My friend and I visited on a quiet Sunday afternoon - a perfect setting for long chats. They also had a clothing pop-up in a cozy corner. We shared the black sesame einspanner, mango bingsu, and strawberry croffle. On the croffle, the sauce was sweet and the strawberries were perfect. Everything was delicious, extremely high quality and so esthetic. I loved the little details, like the spoon shaped like a little spade and a pink straw with a heart cross section. We had a very happy time at Our Place. Visiting here was like being transported to Korea. They even have croffles with flavors like brown cheese, and ube einspanners, and injeolmi bingsu! I cannot give this fine restaurant enough stars. I've been frequenting Ryu Nakano's sushi…read morerestaurants for many years and it's some of the best sushi I've ever had. We reserve well in advance and mostly sit at the sushi bar. The space is on the smaller side but I've seen hopeful walk-ins be seated (I've also seen many turned away--I suggest reservations.) Service has always been stellar. We normally enjoy a salmon flight, a tuna flight, the kelp-cured scallops (must be ordered in advance) and whatever else strikes our fancy or Nakano-San recommends. It's always spectacular! I find the nigiri to be just about perfect--just enough rice to offset the fresh taste of the fish. There is plenty on the menu beyond sushi but we admit to coming here for one reason only so I can't speak to much else (although the green salad is very nice, as is dessert.) Plenty of wine, cocktail and sake options. I remember the many years we didn't have a sushi restaurant in downtown Edmonds so I never take an evening here for granted. We are fortunate to have Nakano-San as a part of our community. Check it out if you haven't yet, and enjoy!

I would say that many parts lived up to the high praises while others did not unfortunately :( The service was amazing! The staff were very attentive and kind. We were seated quickly and were not left waiting long for any part of our dinning experience which was very nice. We both got 2 portions of the 11 piece omakase ($53) and the great pacific northwest roll ($20) to share. The omakase offered good variety and came with an explanation of each cut of fish which was nice. We both enjoyed everything just fine but were left a little disappointed with the quality. Because of all the great reviews and the price point, I think we just were expecting to enjoy our meal much more than we did. The fish quality was not poor by any means but just not that good. The roll also lacked a bit of flavor as well :( I don't know if we just went on an off night or not, and I am hopeful that might be true. The ambiance was nice and balanced, the tables were spaced apart well, making the hum of the restaurant nice but not too much. I don't think we would be back due to the overall quality of our meal but it think it is worth a stop if you are craving sushi in the area.

I'm here to review the food, which is great and unlike other menus in the neighborhood. Here, you will find "bar food" elevated so high it could hold its own among fine dining. My mom and shared a few plates: the Vinbero club, the spring pea risotto, and the kale Caesar salad. Everything was delicious. The club is packed with thinly sliced chicken breast, crunchy bacon, and fresh tomatoes, greens, and avocado. The contrast between the bite from the aioli on the inside of the sandwich and the sweet tartness of the balsamic drizzle on the outside was fun and unexpected. The kale caesar was very fresh with a great dressing. But for me the star was hands down the pea risotto. Perfectly creamy, vibrant green, and packed with fresh spring flavor. It appears they change up their risotto offering every so often, and it's gone now, but I will dream of that one until it appears again. Our server (maybe the owner?) thoughtfully split our sandwich onto two plates (hence why the photo only shows one half) and added the side of popcorn to both plates. A nice touch. The inside is a little small and dark though well-appointed. Their mini patio outside is crowded and uncomfortable. But they're doing their best with what the space they have. And truly the food is a standout in the area.
