If you are looking for authentic Peruvian food, you have to try them! The food is delicious and authentic! The portions are generous. We ordered ceviche mixto, mussels, tallatin verde con bistec (pesto pasta with steak). Their homemade pesto sauce is so yummy, even my 2 year old son loves it! We will definitely come back soon.

This is a cheerful, unexpected restaurant in the strip mall in the same parking lot as Lowes. My friend and I split the ceviche mixto (mixed seafood ceviche) that came with sweet potato chips and chicarron mixto (fried seafood platter) that came with tostones and yuca. Everything tasted fresh and good. The waitress was helpful and friendly. There was a small sign on the table with Peruvian words and their definitions and facts about Peru. There were also beautiful pictures on the wall of Peru. I went to Peru a long time ago and this restaurant makes me want to go back!I

Was looking for decent ceviche, that is what I found here. Going to have to work my way through the menu.

Great food. Very authentic Peruvian. This place is small and unassuming, but the food is great. If you want to experience a little of Peru you should try it

There is parking…read moreavailable out front, though when we went about an hour before closing it was pretty packed and hard to find a parking spot. Inside, the restaurant has a setup similar to Chipotle, but more with a Peruvian style feel. To order you walk up to the counter to place your order. I ordered the 1/4 chicken combo which comes with two sides. For the chicken you can choose dark or meat. For the sides I chose the corn (which was a bit undercooked) and rice. The chicken was good but it reminded me a bit of higher quality rotisserie chicken you might pick up from the store. My biggest hesitation is probably the value for the price. The 1/4 chicken meal portion feels a little expensive for the size. The daily specials seem like the better value since they also come with a drink. My partner ordered the daily special chicken tacos. They arrived cold and were covered with more raw onions then we personally prefer. The standout for both of us was the green sauce and you could add this to anything to make it taste good. Overall I'd still consider giving it another try if I'm even in a pinch and am looking for a good chicken meal.

Although I currently can't speak to the atmosphere, I will say the dish I ordered was amazing. After reviewing the menu though, I will say the price points are incredibly reasonable. All the food is freshly made to order. He brought me back the Pollo Saltado. This dish included tender chicken, sautéed tomatoes and onions; it is served over french fries with a side of white rice. It comes with two different sauces, a green creamy, jalapeño sauce with a kick and a somewhat sweet yellow sauce that when combined is absolutely delicious! My dish was amazing and I can't wait to have it again and try some new ones. The only complaint regarding my order was there was a bone in one of my chicken strips, that thankfully I felt while using my fork. I'm honestly unsure why there was a bone in the chicken because they are strips, not wings or anything. That being said, if it came from a full chicken, I assume there would be bones left in there? I would still order this again but just be careful because it was so delicious!

The workers seemed slightly slower than the other location I have been to. No biggie. Finally, when it was my turn to order, the guy motioned to me and said something (I couldn't understand him, but it was obvious he wanted me to place my order) so I started my order and then he mid-sentence of me saying the order, he looked down at the monitor and said "one minute" as an online order came in and he started to proceed to make THAT order as I stood there waiting to finish my order. I am not thinking the world should revolve around me at all, but I have also learned that in customer service the person in front of you should be the priority. So finally, I placed my order and moved on through to the cashier. She had ZERO smile and ZERO eye contact. I pride myself on being a cheerful, polite person who also tries to give a genuine smile. She seemed to be tired and definitely didn't want to be there. I had to WAIT to pay bc she was turned waiting for something. No explanation like, "I'll be able to get your payment in just a second" or anything of the sort. The food was delicious, nonetheless. The lighting at night inside is a little too much on the cool side. We decided to take our order to go. Will we be back? yes, but to the Spring Forest Road location instead. the staff is friendlier and way faster!

I ordered passion fruit juice and it took me to my childhood, when my mom would make fresh, pure juice, no sugar added! The food portions were perfect for the price, I even had enough to take home for my dinner. The ceviche leche de trigre was also on point, very similar to what I have tried in my trips to Peru. Now, the location almost made me turn around. There was glass and trash on the streets and it didn't seem like a safe place. Luckily, management informed us that they are going to move due to this. Hopefully they will continue having great food, good ambiance, and a better location.

I hope you like to read because ai have a lot to say about Gustitos! So a friend of mine told me…read moreabout this new Peruvian restaurant in the area so I definitely had to try it ! I came with my family ( 4 of us ) this weekend. First of all the location and the parking lot area are not appealing at all, looks a bit sketchy from the outside. On the inside it is clean but it is a bit confusing, it seems that there is a Peruvian restaurant during the day and a separate business as a Dominican club at night so there are different signs on the outside and the vibe inside is a bit off. So we could probably say that the location is a hole in the wall. Anyhow, sometimes you hear that the best food is served in a hole in the wall, we'll that is true here!!! I have to say that they probably have the best Peruvian food in the area!!! The Mostrito Parrillero has everything you could expect ( anticucho, pancita, corazón de pollo, molleja, chicken, potatoes and a great sauce ). Texture and flavor is the best I've had in a long time. Then I ordered the Trio ( 3 dishes in one). The ceviche was well prepared, the fish chicharrón with the "acebichado" sauce was delicious, sadly the Chaufa was not so good in my opinion, I could find better. The fettuccini a la huancaina was also tasty and well prepared. The Lomo Saltado that came with it was very good, the onions and tomatoes where perfectly cooked, onions were cooked but still crunchy. Sauce was great, not too salty as you find in other places, just right. The meat was just ok in my opinion, meat would be a bit softer ( lomo should be a softer cut ). Then I got drinks, the passion fruit juice was delicious, the chicha was just ok, needed some lemon and it was not cold. Service was overall good. They kept refilling our complimentary "cancha" appetizer and giving us "leche de tigre " to taste. A couple of things I didn't like is that they don't offer drinks by pitcher only by the glass and at $5 each adds up pretty fast so they should offer that as an option. Also something that I didn't like is that they automatically charge you a 15% gratuity no matter how big is your party. I don't agree with that because tips should be dictated by the service and not an automatic add on. Where is their incentive to improve the service ?! My in-laws went the same day and they also complained about that. When it comes to pricing I believe it was a bit expensive. Even though the food is very good you are being charged same as in restaurants that are located in a nice area and have amazing service. I don't think the prices match the overall experience. Too bad we didn't have any room for desserts, I definitely want to try their picarones which according to them are made from scratch so yes I will definitely be back. I may probably just order food to go next time though as I didn't enjoy the location and I don't agree with their tipping policy. Finally, I was told by a friend that their "alfajores " were not good, kinda like the hard ones that you find at Alpaca and not the soft and crumbly ones you can get in Peru. Maybe they need to find a different supplier for those. Anyhow I am definitely coming back and look forward to try all the other dishes they have !!!
