Alpaca Chicken - 1/2 Chicken , White Rice & Green Beans - Peruvian Near Me - Garner, North Carolina

Excellent chicken! So flavorful. Service is cafeteria style. Sadly they are always out of green beans, so there's a wait for them. Busy for lunch, but line moves quickly. I'd eat here again if in the area. read more

Tried Alpaca Chicken about a month ago on a night I didn't feel like cooking. There is parking available out front, though when we went about an hour before closing it was pretty packed and hard to find a parking spot. Inside, the restaurant has a setup similar to Chipotle, but more with a Peruvian style feel. To order you walk up to the counter to place your order. I ordered the 1/4 chicken combo which comes with two sides. For the chicken you can choose dark or meat. For the sides I chose the corn (which was a bit undercooked) and rice. The chicken was good but it reminded me a bit of higher quality rotisserie chicken you might pick up from the store. My biggest hesitation is probably the value for the price. The 1/4 chicken meal portion feels a little expensive for the size. The daily specials seem like the better value since they also come with a drink. My partner ordered the daily special chicken tacos. They arrived cold and were covered with more raw onions then we personally prefer. The standout for both of us was the green sauce and you could add this to anything to make it taste good. Overall I'd still consider giving it another try if I'm even in a pinch and am looking for a good chicken meal. read more

Always great chicken! We haven't been in a while and stopped by recently for a quick bite. The regular chicken dinner with yucca fries/beans was delicious, and the chicken/rice chop was phenomenal. Can't go wrong with the green and yellow sauces! read more

My husband and daughter tried Alpaca in White Oak a few days ago and absolutely loved it! He brought me home a dish and I loved it as well. Although I currently can't speak to the atmosphere, I will say the dish I ordered was amazing. After reviewing the menu though, I will say the price points are incredibly reasonable. All the food is freshly made to order. He brought me back the Pollo Saltado. This dish included tender chicken, sautéed tomatoes and onions; it is served over french fries with a side of white rice. It comes with two different sauces, a green creamy, jalapeño sauce with a kick and a somewhat sweet yellow sauce that when combined is absolutely delicious! My dish was amazing and I can't wait to have it again and try some new ones. The only complaint regarding my order was there was a bone in one of my chicken strips, that thankfully I felt while using my fork. I'm honestly unsure why there was a bone in the chicken because they are strips, not wings or anything. That being said, if it came from a full chicken, I assume there would be bones left in there? I would still order this again but just be careful because it was so delicious! read more

My friends took us here for lunch while we were visiting. I was so surprised at how good it was. It was clean and welcoming. The staff were nice and helpful. The chicken was delicious & I really enjoyed the rice and beans. read more

No kids meal... Kid at counter was rude...what kind of restaurant doesnt have a kids meal

This is the BEST chicken I have ever had in my life!! I'm mad at myself for not trying out this place sooner. It is the juiciest, most tender chicken you'll ever have. And those spices they put on it are beyond reproach. My boyfriend works in Morrisville, so he frequents the location out there, and he's always raving about it. He brought me here for lunch today and I loved the atmosphere. There's a giant stuffed alpaca that greets you when you walk in and you place your order at the counter. The women working were very friendly and patient while I decided what I wanted. I ordered the 1/4 white meat chicken meal with fries and beans and rice. They also have yellow (mild) and green (spicy) sauces for dipping. My boyfriend ordered the 1/4 white meat meal with fries and coleslaw. They load a tray with your meals, you pay, get your drinks, sauces and silverware and you find a place to sit. The sides I tried were all incredible. The fries are perfection; crispy and thick cut. The rice and beans were delicious. Next time I'm trying the green beans and tostones. I also appreciate how delicious and strong their unsweetened tea is. Someone posted a review about wanting to eat here 7 days a week and I totally get it. I want to return tonight for dinner! LOL!! read more

Alpaca Peruvian Chicken INTRO: Peruvian Chicken restaurant chain. Pollo Saltado- Chicken was very tender and had great flavor. Came with Fries, onions, tomatoes and Rice. Very large portion that made it filling for one person. Parking/location- Many different locations but this one was specifically in Garner. Small parking space and being that its near many large shops and stores, the weekends get incredibly busy so parking can be a little difficult. Ambience and Service- Clean and open dining area. Also included and outdoor area that was either under a tent covering or tables with umbrellas. Self Service style and then the food will be delivered to you read more

Food was ok service quick and building was clean. Tried the green and yellow sauce. Yellow sauce tastes like honey mustard and green had a little heat and cilantro. It's rotisserie chicken that I could've got from Sam's Club for five bucks. Was not cooked with charcoal. Probably won't return. My plate with drink was $23 read more

Alpaca Chicken - Peruvian Near Me - Garner, North Carolina

Still a big fan of Alpaca and love it when they cater our lunch at work. The food is always cooked perfectly and portioned well. Plus the quality is consistent. We usually have chicken, beans, rice, plantains, and yucca. Definitely don't skip the sauces. They are flavorful and accompany the dishes well. The green sauce is spicier while the yellow sauce is mild and creamy. Alpaca catering packages the items well and provides ample portions. Overall, the food here is excellent and I recommend it to others! read more

Let's just all agree that Alpaca is fast, tasty & consistent. My favorite is the cilantro lime dressing. It's tangy, fresh and citrusy. I think it's for salad but it pairs well as a dipping sauce for chicken too. read more

What a great surprise to find one of my fave cuisines. Sadly, the food doesn't meet expectations. I got the dark chicken combo with rice and plantains and flan. Plenty of rice with a spoonful of black beans (seasoned?) on top. Pitiful. The thigh and leg were so small. Thankfully it was juicy not dry. The taste was fine but nothing to write home about. Worse of all was the flan. $5 for a tiny container that wasn't light tasting, flavorful or delicious. Don't waste the calories. During the pandemic, I have most places a pass if delivery was lacking. Two years plus, I expect restaurants to have adjusted and present food that as appetizing as eating in. read more

Great food if you get it. Placed our order for dine in. They were out of green beans and plantains at the time. Never brought them out and when I asked they said I never ordered them. Other than not having any silverware and the soda machine being out of everything it was great. Do not eat here, try anyplace else read more

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Alpaca and it exceeded all my expectations! I had never tried any Peruvian styled chicken before so initially I was a little wary, but it was amazing and is definitely a favorite now. Their sides were good as well, I had the plantains and will be getting those every time! The service was attentive, patient, and really friendly as I was a first time customer so that was much appreciated! Overall, I highly recommend this spot for any newcomers wanting to try something new or anyone who loves Peruvian food! I'll definitely be coming back! read more

A great healthy place to eat! Service is fast and friendly! A half chicken is more than enough for a family of three. I recommend the green beans and plantains. Their salad is also great! Nothing beats the yellow sauce, you'll want extra! read more

This place is known for its delicious food. Complaints seem mainly personal. My only critique would be that the onion in the Arroz Chaufa was overwhelming. I also got the special, and the onion was a bit overpowering in that dish as well. Plantains & chicken soup were fantastic. I generally love strongly flavored dishes, but the onion did take away from experiencing other flavors on this specific day. I have eaten here before and the flavors were better balanced. This is a particular complaint; but overall the food is great; obviously, as this place stays packed full of people. I would recommend going when it's not so busy, so if you want modifications it would be easy to chat with an employee. read more

This is about my 3rd time to Alpaca and I keep finishing my food before even thinking about snapping the photo!! It's so good! This location is in the new section of white oak in garner, right on the corner near sheetz. I've always ordered one of their daily specials to go. Pictured is the Wednesday special and I really enjoyed it! The smashed plantain cakes were delicious. The Friday jerk chicken special is one of our favs! Nice, spicy, and flavorful! They have this super spicy green sauce that I love to pour over everything. For $10? Oh yea, go ahead and try you some Alpaca! read more

Alpaca Chicken - a meal of rice, beans, corn, tomatoes, and guacamole - Peruvian Near Me - Garner, North Carolina

Had this for the first time at a work lunch. You get a 1/4 white meat order (breast and wing) or a 1/4 dark meat order (leg and thigh). Very well cooked chicken, skin peels right off with a fork Trying out the Peruvian dishes, I got yuca fries, green beans, and tostones. The green beans were standard, and the yuca fries were tasty in a combination with the green chili. For tostones, you get a very hearty sampling in an individual container. Very happy with the meal. Can't believe I lived here so long and had never tried it out as close as I was read more

Tasty food and quick service every time. Love this location especially when I want to get something on the healthier side. I recommend getting the 1/2 chicken, plantains, and the beans & rice. Now the beans and rice aren't really anything special but they pair well with everything else so I always add them to the plate. Still delicious food all the same but try there made to order rice if you have more time. Also don't forget to try the chi cha morada drink it is so refreshing. read more

Alpaca Chicken - 1/4 Dark Chicken - Peruvian Near Me - Garner, North Carolina

Garner, NC location. I've always been an Alpaca fan! Love the chicken and sides; Was really stoked to see one open up close to us! This location has definitely held up to Alpaca standards: Amazing chicken, and the Maduros (fried plantains) are insanely good! If you like green beans, give theirs a shot... one of my favorite sides there! Overall, a great visit. The only downside is the tiny dining area...but, that's the same for most Alpacas. If you like falling-off-the-bone, tasty chicken, give this place a shot! Great good and service. read more

It's been a heck of a week and cooking was just not going to be happening. I was in the middle of cleaning and realized I had forgotten all about am important meeting, so fast forward it's 8 o'clock and I was stumped for dinner. I never realized I could order through yelp before. I love this place. I live 10 minutes away and my food was ready and waiting for me at the pick up window. So let's talk chicken. It was moist and delicious and Yum. The chicken all by itself was really flavorful but the two side sauces enhance the flavor. We had the yucca fries and sweet plantains and a side salad. If I wasn't starving this could've really been two meals for me. My husband and son happily inhaled their dinner and of course took the post meal nap on the couch. read more
