This is the best and literally the only place where I get Jamaican food in the triangle! The food is consistent and the portion sizes are amazing! I get oxtail and the sauce is never too salty. If you were 95 when you got there, then your family had to put fried plantains into your dead mouth because then you were 125 years old. Oxtails are freaking delicious but they're not worth the time or money. If you're smart, you'll order the rice with oxtail juice on top. Jerk Masters is putting together some great food at a super good price. As a broke grad student, I appreciated the portion sizes that Jerk Masters has. You're definitely getting your bang for your buck if you get a plate and cabbage for lunch. It'll cost you less than 10 bucks. For my meal, I got the jerk chicken with dark meat and rice and peas as my side. The jerk chicken was seasoned well with their spice blend, the skin was crispy and delicious, AND the meat wasn't dry. The rice was really good but it was definitely kicked up a notch when I added some of their jerk sauce, which by the way is the bees' knees. You gotta put some of that on your chicken. Be careful with how much sauce you use though; If you're not very good with spicy foods, it might be on the spicier/hotter side of foods to eat especially as you keep eating it. I also got their Jamaican beef patty. If you've never had that, it's like a flakey turnover-like pastry stuffed with beef usually that's been spiced and seasoned very well to. The pastry was amazing. The meat wasn't salty and the flaky crust was very. The people are great, and the food is great. Nothing more needs to be said but sefinitely check out this place if you're in that area. It'll be worth your time. Pro tip: if you're unsure if you'll buy something, they will let you test wherever you plan in maybe buying. read more

This is small place that packs a big punch. The jerk chicken was amazing I ate a half by myself. Most days I can't have sides due to my diet and in most places I go hungry or have to add my own sides when I get home The 1/2 chicken hit the spot. I have to give Jerk Master 5 stars because they truly have the best Caribbean food that I've tasted in the Wake County area in the past 5 years. Their jerk chicken is just spicy enough, without being overwhelming. The jerk seasoning is very flavorful and tastes authentic as well. The chicken is also very tender and far from dry. I will say that I don't necessarily like the idea of the barbecue sauce on top, but I suppose it helps even out the spicy flavor for some people. I've been a regular for the takeout here in the last few months. While it may not look like much from the outside, I love this place! The people there are always friendly, the food and service has been consistently good, and it reminds me of the home cooking I miss from growing up in the Caribbean. The portion sizes are ample, and one large order is normally enough for two or more meals for me. Normally I get the curried chicken or curried goat platter with cabbage and either the rice and peas, or mac and cheese. I do tend to add a bit more hot sauce of my own when I take it home since I like more spice myself, but my wife thinks their spice level is perfect for her taste.
