Food Truck Time: Pana's Flavors at The Mill We grabbed dinner at this food truck and had an okay experience. We tried the melted cheese corn, sweet plantains and a few empanadas. The empanadas were huge but the flavors were just okay. We tried the ground beef, chicken and chicken with cheese. The cheese corn was too much cheese for me but I did like the plantains. I'd be curious to try a few other menu items.

WOW! WOW! WOW! As a fellow Hispanic, this food track is phenomenal, authentic, and absolutely delicious. We have been dying to find a place like home and we have officially found it. We ordered the tequenos, they are mini cheesy things of goodness, definitely a must. We then got the empanadas, which are massive but equally as delicious. The best one was the pabellon which shredded beef, black beans, plantains and cheese. We also got the shredded chicken which was also very good! The garlic sauce is the cherry on top that ties these amazing flavors together. Lastly, we ordered a pépito with grilled chicken and arepa with chicken. So delicious! We ate everything so fast we barely took pics. But the one we did was the empanadas. We will definitely be back.

So good! We had the grilled chicken plantain sandwich, which was phenomenal, and fried pork arepa, excellent! Staff was super friendly and helpful with descriptions of the food.

What amazing food! If you're looking for Venezuelan Street food, look no further! And if you're not, then start looking here because they will leave your taste buds singing! I had the Porky Party Arepas, a monster empanada, and the Chicken Panas Sub. My friend ordered a steak Panas Sub and the Tequeños. We also grabbed so Porky fries somewhere in there as well. The Monster Empanada? Heavenly. Absolutely delicious! Packed with meat and cheese and cooked to perfection! The French fries, I don't know what they seasoned those with but it was incredible and perfectly seasoned! Not to forget that they gave us a garlic sauce that was pure heaven. If I could have taken the whole bottle of that stuff home I definitely would have! The Panas Sub was delicious! So flavorful with a deliciously unique combination of flavors! The Tequeños are cheesy deliciousness that was incredible! This little bite of heaven is definitely worth the visit if you ever see them! Check them out if you're looking for something different and delicious to eat!

I'm from Venezuela, and I'm an extremely picky eater. This was the best Venezuelan food I've had in the US.

Was craving something different and haven't had in a long time. I pulled up to Guasaca didn't ask…read more1000 questions this time since the young lady couldn't answer one so I took matters into my own hands. I ordered the crispy shredded beef with cheese arepa with the cilantro sauce and the chilled chicken avocado snack with chips. The shredded beef was very tender and flavorful, I tried it w/out and with the cilantro sauce, both bites were great; the price is not half bad being under six dollars. The chill chicken avocado snack with chips is another great option if you want something light. The mixture was very light and creamy. The chips were ok, they didn't have any seasoning, not sure if I got a bad batch or if they don't season the chips. If anyone goes before I visit again please let me know. I don't necessarily need the chips. The price for the snack is also under six dollars too. Guasaca has three locations in Raleigh (Lake BooneTrail, Spring Forest Rd and Hillsborough St.), I went to the Lake Boone location because that was the location I visited many years ago. This is a place I will be visiting again, I may try another location and I hope to have the same quality of food. Happy Eating!

Rating based on: Consistency, Cleanliness, Quality, Taste, and Presentation…read more Let me be REAL with you....I walked into Che Empanadas thinking this was some ordinary empanada spot. I was magnificently WRONG. This place is absolutely BANGING, and I'm so glad I found it tucked away here in Raleigh, NC. First up, the Beef Empanada. Listen. The meat is juicy, tender, seasoned with what I can only describe as impeccable love. The crust? Flaky, moist, golden perfection. Ground beef, onions, peppers, olives....every bite hits different. You can TELL they put their heart into this.... Then I tried the Dino Cheese....a scrumptious four-cheese blend wrapped in that same magnificent golden crust, dipped in their Chimichurri sauce, and oh my GOD. The flavor combo is luscious beyond words. That chimi hits like a flavor bomb and elevates every single bite. Now let me keep it honest with you because you know I'm a REAL one....in the pictures, the empanadas look a lot bigger than what they are in person. But with that said, if you have the urge to put up a couple extra dollars, this experience is WORTH it. Every. Single. Penny. The Knish....a Jewish-Argentinian classic with homemade potato and caramelized onion wrapped in flaky dough....MELTS in your mouth. I'm telling you, it's worth the drive alone. Scrumptious doesn't even begin to cover it. And the sweets? The Cubana....guava and cream cheese pastry....is luscious, buttery, and hits that perfect sweet spot. The Alfajor de Chocolate....dulce de leche sandwiched between crispy chocolate wafers and dipped in chocolate....absolutely MAGNIFICENT. Sumptuous is right. I tried about 80% of the menu and everything was delicious. And believe me, I KNOW good bakeries. I grew up a few blocks from Delancey Street in NYC....you feel me? I've been to more bakeries than I can count, and Che Empanadas? It takes the cake. The presentation is clean, the packaging is on point, and you can taste the authenticity in every bite. This isn't some mass-produced nonsense....this is handcrafted, Argentine soul food done RIGHT. Do yourself a favor. Go. Now. RIGHT NOW.. for a religious experience and I don't even care if you're atheist or not this place will blow your mind away.!

Che Empanadas is located inside Transfer Co. Food Hall on the southern edge of downtown Raleigh…read more Coming from North Raleigh, it's a bit of a trek, but Transfer Co. has become a regular destination for us despite the drive. Parking can usually be found outside, but on the Sunday morning we visited, the lot and nearby street spaces were full. I circled back to Chavis Way, where parking is more reliable, and from there a short trail leads straight into the food hall. There was no line, and our order was taken promptly. We started with: Bacon, Egg & Cheese Empanada Sausage, Egg & Cheese Empanada At $9.20 + tax and tip for two, it was a light but flavorful start. The empanadas were so good that we each went back for another round, bringing the total to $18.40 + taxes and tip for two empanadas each which was plenty of food for breakfast. The empanadas themselves were excellent: flaky crusts, generous fillings, and thoughtful seasoning. Both flavors were outstanding, and in past visits we've had the same experience with other varieties. Seating was plentiful inside the hall, and water is available in the center. Servie is prompt and friendly. In my opinion, these are the best empanadas in the triangle, and maybe the best we've ever had. Highly recommended.
