One of the nice spots for variety in the food hall. The people were very nice. They had some "different" flavors, which was cool to try. Recommend if you want something different.

I ordered 2 surprise bags of empanadas through the too good to go app. They are located inside transfer food hall and had them ready for pickup when I arrived and checked in. I wasn't sure if they were going to be hot, cold, or frozen. They were cold and I assume from whatever didn't sell the day before. Pretty good but disappointed we didn't get any sweet goodies. I really enjoyed the mushroom one (my husband didn't) and my husband and I both liked the sweet beef/sweet meat? There was an awesome spicy pepper and meat filled one we both loved and a sweet meatball one which was great as well. My daughter really enjoyed the spinach and cheese one.

You got to check in via Yelp to get 20% off your first order. I think I was the first one to use it since the friendly cashier didn't know how to honor it, she ended up saying she'll just give me the discount though she thought a QR code needed to be scanned. This place is one of many stalls within a building. The ambiance of the entire place was hip, trendy, lively on a Sunday noon. Ordered 5 kinds of empanadas to go: carne, Jamon y queso (ham and cheese), kale and mushroom, pollo (chicken) and Al limon (with lemon). You can pick to get chimichurri or habanero sauce, I got the former. I had to wait for 3 hours when I got back home to VA Beach before I could try these empanadas but boy, they were worth the long drive! Every flavor was delicious! Love the chimichurri sauce! Packaging for to go was in a box made of egg carton material, kept them warm!

We were hungry for a little late breakfast and decided to stop in at transfer food hall. The ambiance was cool and casual. We ordered the ham and cheese & brisket empanadas. And for a side of sweetness, we ordered a guava and cheese empanada. The service was great. They explain the choices and are extremely quick with their delivery of food. The empanadas were flaky, warm and delicious. Plenty of filling and flavor! I absolutely loved the cubano. The guava and cheese filling brought back childhood memories. I would highly recommend trying it. The brisket was good and the ham and cheese was quite tasty. Overall, I would recommend stopping in and trying something different. You won't be disappointed.

Awesome empanadas! I received multiple flavors through the TooGoodToGo app, and despite coming to the shop to get "surprise" empanadas, I was blown away by all of them. Pictured below includes the ham and cheese, potato, spinach and feta, and a sweet meat. I loved them all!

So far my favorite empanada place. Located inside Transfer Hall Food Co. The owner, from Venezuela, is so nice and chill! I appreciate his patience with children too!! I've only had the veggie empanadas but look forward to trying the meats soon. A reason for me to go back. 3-4 is enough. They are very filling. They have limited bar seating. If you are in the mood for authentic empanadas and deserts, check out Che.

Located in a food hall, these empanadas are delicious! I tried an elpastor and the shrimp with chimmichuri sauce. Wow! Two make a great snack. Fresh ingredients and delicious! A nice kick but flavorful spicyness. The heat ads to but in no way takes away from the flavor. Pastry was light and flakey and delicious. A real gastronomic delight. Service was super fast. I would definitely come again.

Average empanadas or maybe we just prefer the Dominican ones. The carne and Empachori Emphanadas were our favorites. We ordered a variety of them. When we opened the box, there was no way to tell which one was made with pork, red meat, chicken or the Empachori. They can do better. This is not a smart way to pack to go items. As a result, we had to open them to distinguish them. Some of us rather not have meat but chicken or pork. The cashier opened the boxes and checked the order. I didn't think it was necessary for me to double check it but I should have done it. (1) empanada was missing smh. There is no way to tell which one. We couldn't finish eating them. That was a waste! Not the best experience.

Some of my favorite empanadas I've had. Argentinian empanadas made authentic and very fresh. This "stall" is located dead smack in the middle of Transfer Food Hall. They offer an assortment of fillings - your normal beef/chicken, as well as specialty empanadas ie spinach, vegetarian, jamon y queso, and more. Very fast I may add. The dipping sauces are good and spicy. Perfect bites and very kind people.

Cold-Brewed Yerba Mate, Ham & Cheese Empanada, Empachori Empanada

I tried the ham and cheese empanadas and they were very good, very filled, and a good size. The chorizo empanadas were also very tasty. The chimichurri was tangy and flavourful. The Yerba mate cold brew was too bitter for my liking. The service was fast and the cashier was very friendly.

Get the Empachori empanada! So delicious!! I have been in Raleigh for a few days and I have already eaten here 3 times. When we got to the hotel for my son's baseball tournament, I looked for restaurants near me and luckily Che Empanadas popped up 10 minutes away. I'm Argentinian so I obviously ignored all other restaurants and drove there. It's in a dining hall (Transfer Co. Food Hall) which is cool and the ambiance is hip and fun but it's not obvious when you drive up there that it's in there. Coincidentally this has happened to me before with an empanada place in San Diego. It's a cool place and great if you're going with people who aren't sure they like Argentinian empanadas, they can find something elsewhere...until they try yours and want their own. The first time we went, my son had the brisket empanada and I had humita (corn) and ham and cheese. They were good but Argentine cuisine is not spicy and the ham and cheese one was a tiny bit spicy so I didn't finish it. While we were eating I saw the Empachori special empanada on a charlkboard display. Argentine chorizo is unlike any other and choripán (the chorizo [sausage] in crusty bread with chimichurri) is a classic. I have never seen anyone make an empanada with Argentine chorizo so I had to try it. My son and I split it due being almost full. It was AMAZING. The cheese and grilled onions and chimichurri flavor combination with the chorizo is one of the best things I've eaten. It is what made me come back 2 other times during our trip. My son loved the brisket one too, he got one of each on our subsequent trips, I got 2 Empachori. I will say that the second time we went it was a little less juicy than the 1st and 3rd time, but still good. We also got the Pastelitos de Dulce de leche each time (warm pastry with delicious dulce de leche and walnuts inside), highly recommend. 2 empanadas and 1 of those should fill any stomach to capacity. The service is great too. If we are ever back in Raleigh we will definitely be back to this spot. **also I'm guessing that they have to make their own Argentine chorizo because it's not just something you can find in a store, so props to them for doing a great job with it. My husband and I make our own chorizo and ours doesn't turn out this good.

Full disclosure, I am Colombian so absolutely enjoy the full menu options. There is plenty of parking but the inside is a bit small so I'd consider time when heading there. Sunday evening was great as I got to pick my table after I was greeted upon arrival. I went with the typical dish, my favorite, Bandeja tipica (paisa). This dish is LOADED, so had leftovers. It has rice, beans, avocado, sweet plantains, egg, arepa, chorizo, steak and chicharron aka fried pork belly. The server was friendly and got my order correctly. She got me lime wedges afterwards which must be used with the chicharron. Half a star lost because the empanadas are not my favorite. The outer shell and the inside. Not what a colombian empanada at least my favorite one is like. But you can try it. The ambiance is great. They play music and there's some nice art and two televisions. The other half star lost is because of their point system for rewards. I didn't get points for my last visit there. And the server was not very knowledgeable of it. But overall, I will go back. Check it out though! Ps. They have a bakery too, it was too late today for me but definitely try the "pan de bono" and thank me afterwards.

This place was absolutely amazing. All I can say is, we made a lot of happy noises while eating,…read moreand there were plenty of "oh my God" moments at the table. From the staff to the manager to the food, everything was on point. The food truly speaks for itself. They serve small plates, which we love because it gives you the chance to try different things and experience a variety of flavors. We started with the fried pork belly on tostones. It was perfectly seasoned, topped with avocado, and every bite just melted in your mouth. Next, we had the tamarind sticky ribs with a tamarind mango barbecue sauce. This was a perfect example of how simplicity can create complex flavors. The ribs were cooked just right -- not completely falling off the bone, but tender enough that when you bit into them, the meat pulled apart so easily. They were juicy, full of flavor, and had just the right touch of spice from the chili flakes. Then we moved on to the mini arepas, and oh my God. They had slow-cooked pork, guava barbecue sauce, and fried papas on top. The arepa itself was crispy on the outside, warm and fluffy on the inside. The savory pork paired with the sweetness of the guava barbecue sauce was incredible, and the crunch from the fried papas took it to another level. Now, I have a bit of a sweet tooth, but my wife does not. I wanted dessert, and we were leaning toward the tres leches, but our waitress highly recommended the bread pudding. I am not usually a fan of bread pudding at all, but her recommendations had been on point all night, so I decided to trust her. I am so glad we did. They take a Mexican bolillo, soak it overnight in tres leches, then pan-sear it to create this crispy caramelized outside while keeping the inside warm, soft, and sweet. It is topped with crema and toasted coconut, then they pour warm guava syrup over it and serve it with a scoop of coconut sorbet. The layers of flavor in that dessert were unreal. Honestly, it may have been the best dessert we have ever had. And remember, my wife is not big on sweets -- she usually only takes one bite of dessert, but this time she tried to eat over half of it. Lol. I highly recommend this place. The food, the service, the drinks, and the atmosphere were all amazing. And after dinner, you can even head upstairs to work off the food with salsa lessons and a dance club. This is definitely a spot worth checking out! Me alegra muchísimo haberlo hecho. Jajaja.

I was really one mayonnaise filled torta away from missing out on my favorite Mexican restaurant of Cary. The food is some of the freshest and most authentic in the area, and is consistently spot on. There are so many different options to choose from, from both categories. When thinking seafood, expect the full fish. If you find yourself with the fresh grilled tilapia, you will receive a delicious whole fish that tastes as if it was caught that morning. It is such a fantastic option. I also appreciate the camarones a la diabla, or Diablo shrimp. The shrimp are plump and juicy, the spice of the dish is excites your taste buds and is a great dish. My favorite entrees are the land meat dishes though. El Trio Perfecto is my go-to order, it is grilled steak, chicken and pork all on one plate with rice, beans, salad, and tortillas. The Mexican spice rub on the meats is absolutely mouth watering, the flavors are so bold and tasty. The meats are all cooked to perfection and the portions are gigantic. You can make different tacos with the various meats, it is seriously one of my favorite Mexican dishes. I would highly recommend this! Additionally, Esmeralda Grill has so many other wonderful dishes for different flavor profiles. My grandparents are pretty particular about empanadas, but simply cannot get enough of Esmeralda's version. They also make some killer tacos, and some very affordable ones if you were to come on Tuesday! The moral of the story? Don't base your opinion of a restaurant after a single visit.
