Whenever I crave authentic tacos, this is where I come. The tacos are delicious, fresh ingredients, friendly staff, horchata also yummy. The owner is a very kind person and am excited that they've opened a new location downtown! There's a couple of tables so you can enjoy fresh and hot, or you can get it Togo. This truck has gotten me through some of my worst days haha! The food here always puts me in a good mood. If I'm having a bad day, my husband knows it's time for Lobos Tacos! This is one of my goto spots to bring an out-of-town friend to when they are visiting! The staff is always incredibly friendly and there's good music playing while you wait! Probably one of the best burritos I have had in NC that resembles what I am used to coming from Texas. Fresh ingredients and full of flavor. I wanted to gate-keep this for a second since it was so dang good. I got a Pupusa with chicken and a Sope with Pastor. Although I'm no expert, you can really tell how fresh and authentic they were. The fact that they're located in a gas station parking lot makes it a unique experience; although I will say there are 5-6 picnic benches if you don't want to take it go (I wanted to eat my pupusa WARM). I'm really disappointed with my experience. This food truck advertises that it closes at 9pm, but when my husband went up at 8:20pm, they shut the window right in his face without saying a word. If you plan to close earlier than your posted hours, that should be clearly communicated to customers. It felt very dismissive and unprofessional. I hope they can be more considerate and transparent moving forward. read more

The people working in the food truck are always incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit feel like a treat. The food is consistently amazing! Like all taco trucks, the food was made to order but it did not take long to get my food. The lady at the window was nice and had good vibes. I love the music they have playing at the truck. I've been here twice in the past two weeks and have not regretted coming. These tacos are authentic, fresh, and tasty. The workers are nice and they get your food to you fairly quickly. HANDS DOWN THE BEST TACOS IVE EVER HAD. This food truck is close by my work and while I've seen it a thousand times, I just happened to eat here the first time last week. Now I'm back again today because they are legit the best tacos I've ever had in my life. I recommend the Pollo and Carnitas personally. They have sauces you can use in squirt bottles and will give you a plastic to go container if you don't want to commit without trying it first. There is one sauce that is a pinkish color, i don't know what it is but it's absolute heaven on a taco. These are authentic tacos on corn tortillas with cilantro and onions, the best way. My husband and I have been eating lunch here for the past three weeks in a row. The food is absolutely delicious. Carne asada and pollo de tacos are our go to. It's juicy with amazing flavors. These are the best tacos I have ever had. I have thought about this deeply over the last 2 weeks during which I have visited 6 times. I have now tried every kind, and they are all consistently incredible. Perfectly cooked, great portion sizes and very fair price. This has been one of my favorite taco discoveries. I love tacos so so much and this is hands down one of my favorite trucks. They hand make their own tortillas, which to me l, is the best start to a taco. They also only use one tortilla compared to most others using two.. which I think is a waste. The tacos are always overfilled with flavorful tender meat. I have tried almost every taco and one is better than the next. Their PAPUSAS.. OMG. They are like little pockets of sunshine with crispy cheese melted to the outside. Do yourself a favor and order every single one on the menu, you'll thank me later! The woman who took my order was very kind. I ordered tacos, pupusas & quesadillas. Everything was so good & cheesy. The horchata was bombbb. I tried this truck for the first time and it is a No for me I did not like the tacos I got Carne Asada and I was not impressed at all.I also got a Sincronizada which cost $14.00 it is like a quesadilla with ham added I did not like it at all especially with the ham, the food here did not Wow me and did not make me say that I want to return because I won't read more

My favorite food truck in Raleigh and some of the best Latin American food in the area. Everything is delicious, but I always get pupusas and sopes! Pozole is out of this world - look on the board it's a special item. I moved back home to Raleigh after living in California 20 years and this place really hits the spot. The lengua tacos are maybe the best I've had. Pastor was nothing I'd write home about. I liked the homemade tortillas. Pupusa was tasty. The red sauce was flavorful. The curtido for the pupusa had a weird gray tint to it. Kinda makes sense given the fact the little bags of the pre portioned curtido all sat in a plastic bin, right by the service window without anything to keep them fresh and cold. Zero covid precautions/enforcement aside from a bottle of hand sanitizer. So, if you're willing to have decent eats at a fair price..but risk health/food safety..I guess this is the place to try? read more

These are not authentic pupusas. We ordered 3 revueltas & they tasted like all cheese & way too much cheese & not authentic Salvadoran cheese used for pupusas. We were gonna split the last one but threw it away. Very disappointing. Oh & way over priced, $3/ea. read more

I go here with a coworker every Monday it's the best tacos/Mexican I have found in the area they are usually very busy between 11:45-1 but still get you your food in a reasonable amount of time and the staff are always very nice. tacos are the main item here but the burritos and quesadillas are awesome as well. Amazing tacos! Fresh homemade tortillas, warm and soft. My favorite is the lengua tacos, but my friends have tried the pastor, asada, and many others and they've always been satisfied. According to them, the horchata is also delicious, although I haven't tried it. The tacos are soft tacos that come with onions and cilantro by default, and they include a lime slice, cucumbers, and radishes on the side. You can customize your toppings though, I know avocado is available for an extra charge. Salsas are also available free of charge. There is outside seating. read more

The salad included chicken, cucumber, pickled red onion, corn, crispy tortillas & oregano dressing. The salad was fresh and crisp. I really enjoyed this. I'd get double meat going forward. I also order myself carnitas (delicious) and one chicken quesadilla for my Mom. My mom is such a picky eater but she really enjoyed the quesadilla and was talking about how meaty it was for days. I'm happy with my purchase and I look forward to returning. I do recommend dining at Little Rey if you're in the area.

Ironworks is a mixed use environment with vendors hawking wears under canopies, alongside brick and mortar stores, shops, and restaurants. Little Rey's (IMO) is Alpaca Restaurant meets Mexican in the best way possible. The line for the food was a solid 30-45 minute wait. So don't be like me, have a seat, pull out your phone, use the code on the table, view menu, and order and pay. However, they have employees who greet customers and begin your drink menu while you wait in line. We ordered the half chicken, Gringa tacos, guacamole, and queso. Little Rey has a pretty extensive salsa bar, with approximately 7-8 varieties. The salsa bar spans the gambit from mild, mid-hot, smoky, and creamy options. The star of the show is the smoked chicken! So good with the corn tortilla, green salsa, grilled onions and grilled jalapeño! Moving forward I'll add an order of the chicken taco to get the perfect bit without the mess! The Gringa/Picadillo taco was good. And while I am a Gringa, and I love a Taco Bell sour cream situation, that almost mayonnaise flavor didn't sit well with my soul. However, the meat itself was super flavorful. I'd ditch the flour tortilla for corn , and opt for another salsa, add pico, and I think we are there. We weren't a fan of the rice, if I'm being honest - but will try again. While I didn't try any alcoholic beverages on this round, I'm stoked to try on my next visit. Plenty of seating, but can get awkward if there are long lines.
