I really want to rate them a 2, but I'm trying to be nice. Every time I go there, I get the same thing...K9 (3 tenders with mashed potatoes and a Pepsi). WHY do the strips ALWAYS taste like they've been sitting in a warmer all day?? They aren't fresh and hot. They are warm with a "old taste" to them. It's the same thing each time. The best part of my meal is the Pepsi. Smh. The biscuit is as hard as a hockey puck. The mashed potatoes are blah. I haven't been there in a month thinking today would be different. The food was terrible. My chicken was overcooked, employees was just cussing left and right. I thought KFC was known for its eleven herb and spices my chicken was unseasoned. This happened about a month ago, but it's too crazy not to share: (Disclaimer: The manager does get 5 stars for being accommodating and kind.) Question: How are you going to take an order, make them wait 15-20 minutes in the drive-thru (due to incompetence and incompetence only), and then when it's their turn to finally pull up to the window you rudely (oh joy, she's rude and incompetent) inform your customer that you have no mash potatoes, popcorn chicken, or cheese to make the Famous Bowl that they ordered? Oh, and then you have the nerve to roll your eyes (yay, more rudeness) when you try to hand your customer cash and the customer says they want the card THAT YOU JUST RAN to be reimbursed the difference (I don't even know why this happened since you didn't even have half of the ingredients needed for my order). As if it couldn't get any better- My two sweet teas weren't even ready (this was literally the only thing left that could have been successfully executed)because your little sidekick (behind you, but within view and earshot of course) was too busy laughing and running his mouth in regards to my frustration. KFC on Poole Road is by far the WORST my family keeps telling me to stop going here. After a hard days work I just wanted to get food and go home. I always chk my food but I didn't this time my food was $42.74 for a 16 PC meal. When my husband chk we had a 8PC, instead of 4 sides we had 2 & no cake. I keep calling and calling they have the phone off the hook. It was 5:54 pm when I went there line wrapped around the building. Order taker told me to hold on when I ordered & that was the key also to chk I believe they didn't have enough chicken. Or HAVE me the wrong order I have a headache and so pissed right now. Not only does this location have a 97.5 sanitation rating, the staff and service far exceeded my expectations. I called the evening of 10/26/18 to ask about placing a large order and needed help to determine what would be the least expensive way to buy enough fried chicken with sides to feed at least eight--Chandler was patient and took all the time I needed to explain my options. On 10/27/18, I called on my way to ensure my order would be ready in about 30 minutes and this time, Annette walked me through my order, made sure that I had enough of each side and, again, very patient and helpful. My order complete with sweet tea was ready when I arrived and Annette and one other staff person took the bags to the car for me. Could not have had better service with a smile!!! The next time I need KFC, the drive from Johnston County will be worth the extra time to order at the Pool Road location. read more
