Shout out to the team at this Jersey Mike's. I visited on a Sunday during the midlunch rush. It was HOPPING. Online orders streaming in, people in-store, curbside pickup. We were greeted with a smile and a genuine "what can I make for you". It was as if we were the only people in the place. I watched in admiration as the team interspersed the online orders with the in-store orders without missing a beat. Not an easy feat. Better yet, the sandwich was perfect. Exactly what I ordered. And not just slapped together... The young lady dressing the sandwiches placed everything just so, making sure that it was as appealing to the eye as to the tongue. I gotta say, this team has got it going on. I'm very impressed, especially considering that every single person behind the counter, including the crew chief, couldn't have been older than 18. I went back because I wanted to give this place another try. I ordered a giant club sub which was turkey, ham, and bacon. The guy slicing the meat looked like he was in a frantic hurry. He rushed when he only put THREE slices of turkey and then THREE slices of ham on the GIANT sandwich. The customer behind me ordered a MINI sandwich, and that sandwich had the EXACT same amount of meat on it- THREE slices. It looked a lot more delicious on the mini sub. I asked why they are putting a small amount of meat on it today when other days they pile the meat up high and the employee just responds with "it just depends on who makes the sandwich." WHY does it depend on who makes the sandwich?? Shouldn't I pay almost $20 for the same sandwich no matter who makes it? I stopped coming here months ago because of bad service and no response from the owner and upon my return what do you think I found? I ordered 2 giant subs and watched the guy smash flat both subs and cut one so unevenly the bottom piece broke in two. I asked him if I could get another sub roll and he gave me a pissed face the proceeded to smash that one flat and cut it messed up. At that point I told him I was "good" and started walking out. I visited this location tonight and was greeted by a team of young teenagers from behind the counter who told me that I couldn't place a to go order bc I wasn't wearing wearing a mask. I stated that I couldn't because of my doctor advised medical condition and the rude girl behind the counter (Imoni Charles) asked me what my medical condition was and that I needed a piece of paper to prove it. She actually asked me in front of other people in a public place to state my medical reason! Not only is this absurd and embarrassing to try and explain in a restaurant but her tone is what really made me make the decision not to grace the doors of this location ever again. Not one adult could be found in the store which was even more upsetting and I now see that they suffer from a lack of training and guidance which is a direct reflection of not only the management but the franchise owner as well. As soon as I walked out they all gathered by the sub station to laugh talk about me while one guy with a beard that came from the back area didn't even have a mask on at all or if he did he had it pulled down past his face. I really don't like leaving negative reviews. I go out of my way to make sure I leave positive reviews wherever I can. But sadly, that's just not the case here. Besides the fact that Jersey Mike's is notoriously unnecessarily expensive (which is really not the point of this review), I was turned off of JMs completely after today's experience. First of all, upon walking in, the music was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. None (not a single one) of the employees were wearing masks at all. I was. Since I was wearing a mask and the radio was so loud, the guy behind the counter couldn't hear my order. I literally had to shout it at him. Poor kid seemed to be doing the best he could but also seemed truly annoyed that my mask was making it hard for him. I get it, but also WHY AREN'T YOU WEARING ONE? I was so surprised to see this. Every single restaurant I've visited throughout this experience has their employees taking every single precaution. Even McDonalds y'all. But not Jersey Mike's. So, take that for what you will. I'm surprised by previous reviews for this location. They are still relatively new as they just opened a few months ago and likely have quirks to figure out as they go along. Any time we've visited, we've never had any issues. Just recently, they were really busy around dinner time and had a pretty long line inside with phone orders pouring in. The staff working behind the counter were very friendly and greeted each customer. They worked efficiently by making similar orders at the same time to cut down wait time and to stay on top of the phone orders. All of the meats were sliced by order, which was impressive as they had a number of sandwiches to make at that time. We only had to wait about 5-7 minutes for ours and were checked out quickly. Our sandwiches were yummy. The bread and veggies tasted fresh (which I am always thankful for as a mushy, soggy sandwich is no friend of mine). My only complaint is that they are definitely on the pricier side for subs. Especially for what you get. If they would even that out a bit, I'd definitely prefer their subs over Subway or other chain sub shops in the area. read more

So this used to me my go to J Mikes. But the last two online orders I've put in have been wrong. Plus, it looks like a total staff change has occurred in last few months so that probably explains the screwed up orders. What's sad is there is no customer relations at J Mikes anymore. I love Jersey Mikes and frequent this location often. Service and product are normally pretty good, but I visited this establishment today and have to agree with other reviews I've read about this location. Although most employees wore gloves, none wore masks, despite the recent surge in Covid cases. As I waited in line, I watched an employee launch a sandwich wrapped in a brown bag to another employee, she dropped it on the floor and then proceeded to put it into an online order bag. I then witnessed the sandwich maker put a pile of turkey onto a veggie sub; he realized his mistake, removed the meat, and then passed it on to the next maker to add the fixings. The woman who ordered it did not notice this error. A true vegetarian would be disgusted with meat touching the bread of his/her sandwich. This location has the fly problem and they are everywhere in the kitchen flying all over your sub while they prepare it, yuck! The Cheese Steak sub was without flavor, the order was wrong but not worth the long wait to fix. The drinks were flat and needed syrup and fizz, just a poor experience overall. Working less than a mile away we were excited to know they would open soon. After today I will drive the extra miles and go to the Wakefield location. We placed 4 separate orders between 1 and 2 hours ahead of time. When I arrived not only was the teenager rude (held a hand up and told me to wait) but the food was NOT ready. Why have the option for me to order ahead of time and still not have my food ready? If you are sooo busy (which they were NOT) why not pull a couple of your employees from the back room? A couple come in after I stated I was here to pick up and they were provided their food first. So if you'd like a rude staff, a manager that is too busy hanging out with the rest of his employees in th back room and to receive your food 20 mins after it was supposed to be ready... well then this is your place! read more

Any place that operates a grill should have an odor... Subway doesnt have a grill and thats why it isnt as good! Young kids of course work at these establishments, sometimes their first real jobs. I just experienced the most unprofessional business behavior from the Store Manager and District Manager of the Store located in Wake Forest, NC off Stadium Drive. My daughter is a minor and was employed there for several months. The store manager called me and my daughter into the store for a sit down meeting, and terminated her employment in front of customers, other employees and classmates due to slowness and not knowing the menu in it's entirety. I am completely disgusted with Jacob and Amber Rjoub's behavior. There have been no write-ups. No customer complaints. No records of discipline. My daughter has had no incidents of bad or disrespectful behavior. HOW DARE THEY DO THIS TO A CHILD! I will make sure I tell everyone I know how two managers purposely arranged a public display to fire a 15 year old girl in front of customers, co-workers and CLASSMATES for slowness and not knowing the menu in its entirety. I should add, my daughter has a 3.8 GPA and has always been on the Honor Roll, so learning is not an issue. I am shocked that they called us in, sat us down in the middle of the store, knowing they were going to do this, and purposely made it a public display, which Jacob (District Manager) later told me that his Corporate HR Director instructed him to do. I find this hard to believe. I will make sure that everyone I know and talk to knows how Jersey Mikes treats minors. They were both UNBELIEVABLE and SHAMEFUL. I will NEVER purchase another product from Jersey Mike's, and I will do my absolute best to make sure no one who knows me or my family do the same. If you have a sign for phone and online orders to pick up, why would you make someone wait for the line of people in there go ahead of them to pay when the order for the phone or online is ready? I was reluctant to try another JM's in this area because I have had bad experiences at other local one's. However someone that also has Celiac Disease told me that this location was very good about gluten free so my husband and I stopped in last night. Wow......Adam was so wonderful and took every precaution possible to make me a safe and delicious sandwich! I can't tell you how much it meant to me!
