great experience with a complex move! excellent communication before during and after. professional crew of nice guys!

From start to finish My Guys Movers were professional, communicative, and friendly. My move had been too big for some movers, too small for others but My Guys Movers took a look at the job and said it was no problem. We moved my bakery from our temporary location to our new permanent location. MGM accepted delivery of our new double-wide fridge from the manufacturer and delivered it straight to the new bakery on moving day. Kenny and his team were speedy and even showed up early on moving day. It got a little comical watching Jose A., Jose G., Ramon, and Whitmore attempt to get my fridge up a flight of stairs, turn it on a landing, and push it into our space, but they didn't flinch at the task and were professional the whole way through despite (I'm sure) it being not on their list of favorite jobs. I highly recommend MGM and will call on them again for all my moving needs. 5/5 stars! Thanks guys!!! read more

I wish I could give 10 stars! My Guys Moving provided excellent service and an excellent crew. Very professional, polite, and took great care of my belongings. They arrive on time and are very efficient. Took apart furniture on departure and reassembled and set up at the destination. They made a very stressful time so much easier than it might have been. If you are moving, these are your guys! Thank you so much!! read more

My Guys moving is fantastic. From the first call, to free estimate, and the actual move, My Guys was professional, courteous, straightforward, and honest. They really do business the right way. The move was super efficient and they took great care to protect walls and items. I got partial packing and they were very fast at packing some rooms like the kitchen, which would've taken me a lot of time but they did it fast and with exceptional care. I would highly recommend My Guys! Ask for Terry Williams from sales and Manny and his team were great movers!! read more

I just had My Guys Moving help me move a living room and dining room set from one property to another. It was a small move for them, especially during the busy time of the year. They sent a 2 man crew who did an amazing job. They did an amazing job, were very polite and respected my home. This is just another reason why I have been using them and referring them for 12+ years! Thank you My Guys! read more

Had a big move today and the 4 man crew was terrific from start to finish. They had a plan and executed it perfectly. I appreciated the care they showed with some of the more fragile items. I'd definitely recommend my guys moving to others. read more

So happy at the professional job of My Guys Moving and Storage. We used them in Aug 2020 for our relocation and I'm so happy we did. The guys were extremely helpful and efficient when packing our home into our U-haul. We booked the movers for loading our moving truck and they even helped get the car trailer off our rental truck. They were on time and completely careful with all of our belongings. Due to circumstances outside of our control, our new home (4 states away) was no longer suitable for us and we had to move all of our things into a storage unit. Because of the extra touch and care, all of our furniture was wrapped and ready for storage. The local moving guys had no issues unpacking the perfectly packed truck. All of our belongings safely made the 12 hour trip. I would recommend them for any of my friends and family still in VA and DC metropolitan area. read more

This is our second move with My Guys (MG). They are the best!! While we were in NC we did a local move with another firm and it was a disaster. It really made us appreciate all the more what a great experience we had with MG. When it came time to move again, there was no question about who to call. Everything was well packed, handled with care, and arrived in perfect condition. The guys arrived on time, worked efficiently, and were super polite. Unpacking was the same. They put everything where we asked them to put it. We really can't say enough good things about My Guys Moving. read more

On time. Very professional. Good communication. Terry was very good at all the details and the gentlemen who came to work this move did a fantastic job. Would highly recommend! read more

My Guys gave us excellent services in all aspects of our move, from the estimate to moving in. We sold our home before our next residence was ready and they packed and stored our belongings for several months. On move in day they were prompt in arriving at the scheduled time and we're very efficient. Their workers are friendly and well trained to take care of your belongings. I would not hesitate to use them again. read more

Super professional; did a great job packing and moving us and we really appreciated their communication and customer service.

Packing of merchandise was very poorly done. Merchandise was placed in wrong rooms. A sizable amount of cash is missing. You can't trust them to take the time necessary to safeguard your goods. Absolutely the worst packing job I have experienced and I have moved 12 times. The missing cash is my biggest concern. I had a valuable ring and cash both in separate bags. They didn't take the ring because it would have been to easy to trace. This company hires people who are not trained and certainly not properly vetted. I filed a police report on the cash but I don't expect the moving company to back of their position, which is, "our people would never do that". I wonder how many people are in on the scam. One or two steal and others cover for them. This was a dreadful experience. They shouldn't be allowed to haul goods until they can demonstrate that their people are trained in ethics and simple honest behavior. read more

Movers arrived on time and were very professional, courteous as well as helpful. They were very careful when packing the items to be moved. They left my home veryclean and looking better than it had been when they arrived. They arrived on time to the second house and they were very efficient unloaded the items. I would highly recommend them and I will use them again in the future. read more

I cant say enough good things about this company and our crew. They have done multiple moves for my family over the last 5 months. My father went into assisted living, they helped with his house and new place. My mother-in-law passed and we moved her belongings into my house and storage. It has been hectic, as life is. The LMJ crew today was amazing. It is super hot, super humid and we asked them to make a total of 5 stops. They did all of them and even offered to help us organize our storage locker. They were professional, careful with our belongings, and detailed oriented when packing and organizing for all of our stops. The cost was extremely fair and worth every penny. If you have a move this is the company to use. And ask for the LMJ crew. Amazing, professional crew. read more

After a horrendous previous experience with a local mover( I will be leaving them a yelp review once I settle my claim) we decided to go with My Guys Moving, for our Interstate move. Our experience was professional, exceeded our expectations and the movers were friendly and hard working. They helped us on every aspect of our move.. from dealing with getting our stuff out of storage and dealing with our noncompliant previous mover, to working through the 90 degree Florida heat and unloading 3 huge trucks with a positive friendly attitud. I highly recommend this company for any local or interstate move! read more

6/11/20 I hope I am not confusing this company with Two Guys and a Truck, but when I moved from Maryland to Virginia, My Guys Moving is the company I used. The guys came prepared and were quick and took care not to damage anything. They also had a good sense of humor too. I gotta say, packing up all your stuff really let's you know how much garbage/posession one can accumulate. I am glad I don't do a whole lot of moving, because this would be a real pain in the ass. Then again, if I did, I probably would know better than to buy a whole bunch of stuff. Whatever the case is, I would definitely use this company again. read more

Terry and his wonderful crew helped us with our local move recently, and all I can say is I wish I could have hired them for all the other bad moves I've experience! My wife and I have moved a lot, and in my experience, I just didn't think it would ever be possible to leave a positive review for a moving company. I've been burned before pretty much every time. What a breath of fresh air it was with My Guys. From the beginning, Terry was thorough. He asked if he could come see the belongings in person so that he can give an accurate estimate. (Most didn't ask for that and just made up numbers). He then gave an estimate, and told me it would probably be less than that, but just wanted me to be prepared. Sure enough, the final charges were actually LESS than the estimate! (The total opposite happened the last time we moved). They scheduled us quickly, with flexibility to our schedules, and on moving day had a very polite and extremely hard working crew arrive for our move. They were efficient, but not so rushed that they didn't handle our items with care. In fact their handling was superb. They then delivered everything to our new home, prepping the home with floor and staircase protection first, and asking where we wanted things to set up our furniture and items just the way we wanted. They even helped repair my treadmill that the other movers damaged in storage! We had a complicated and large move (3 different pick up spots arriving into one home, with a LOT of stuff!) and they handled it well at a cost better than my last few moves. I hope we don't move again for a long time, but if I did, I would not hesitate to hire them again! read more

My realtor recommended them. Since having a long distance move, every moving company isn't the greatest. They were SPECTACULAR! The sales manager Austin was professional and gave me a good quote NOTE: If a moving company gives a low quote, for example I was only moving 10 minutes away and my low quote was 795, don't go with them. You run the risk of added fees the day of moving and breaking your things) He offered the insurance. Please get it for your own protection. The moving team of 4 was on time. I packed everything, and they packed my furniture in covers and shrink wrapped. Living and dining room and my bedroom furniture. They covered the walls to prevent scratches and the floors. The estimated quote and what I actually paid was $600 cheaper! You will be very happy with this company! read more

The Brendan is right, he wouldn't have a record of a transaction with Erin F because the moving service was booked by my husband and the paperwork was under his name. But I think the owner's response tells you all you need to know. I gave enough details in my review that the owner could have looked up moves that went over 11 hours and required two trucks, that had a staff member leave mid move and ran out of boxes and the last name ended with "F"....unless there are so many issues with moves they conduct can't differentiate. Hmmm is that a gamble anyone checking out these reviews would want to take? Find a better company to move with, your guys aren't "My Guys." read more

I just had the best moving experience I've ever had with the Z&Co crew from My Guys Moving. As a veteran who's moved a dozen times, all over the world, I've seen my fair share of movers. Some of them were good, others packed the trash in the trash can like robots incapable of individual thought. So I don't speak hyperbolically when I say Annibal (sp?) and his team were the absolute best. They showed up at 8am sharp, which was the beginning of my window, and proceeded to make short work of loading what ended up being 7380 lbs over 2 stops. Then, if that wasn't enough, they performed some manner of Tetris Master storage filling and got everything into my unit with space to spare. Needless to say, Z&Co obviously graduated at the top of their class from the Hogwart's School of Moving. So if you're thinking about moving and want a hassle free, smooth move call My Guys Moving and request Z&Co for your move today. Then sit back and watch the magic happen. read more

OUTSTANDING MOVE TEAM! I recently moved my son from one apartment to another in Herndon VA. The My Guys team did a great job with the pre-planning details, provided an accurate cost estimate and did an outstanding job with the actual move. Manny and his team came energized, were well organized, packed and moved all contents safely. No wasted time, great communication and a "can-do" attitude on special requests! This was the 5th time using My Guys Moving and I will continue to use them for future moves! A great value for a very stressful event! read more

Horrible company, staff under trained. They damaged my wood floor and furniture and dis no pay pay the cost of the repair

They did move for me on July 25th, 2023. I was promised that the move will take about 6.5 hours. But in order to charge more, they prolonged a lot of the moving and overcharged me for more than 670$. I also got missing parts of a piece of furniture. They claimed they have worked from 9am till 6pm with no lunch break because they did not have lunch. It's hard to believe that they can skip lunch with such long time of moving work. Stay away from this sneaky company. Their actual charge is much more than they promised and much more than other companies. read more

Update: The excuses used by this company in response to my review are a testimony to their inadequacy. The movers are able to take a video of the long walk which would give me an indication that they were well aware of how they lagged on during the move. They are the first moving company that has been unable to fit their truck in the loading dock and video footage would be able to show where their truck was parked. It's a really wonderful Thing having witnesses to attest in court if need be of their disappearance for extended periods of time as well as to their refusal to leave. Again, their own personnel had to be contacted just to get the movers to leave. Unlawful debt collections are just that. Unlawful. After speaking with the representative who told me the movers were no longer with the company, it was sign their hiring practices are questionable. As to their "adequate" speaking of English. It's one thing to speak English to your boss and another to pretend to not speak English to the customer so that you don't have to answer to your fraudulent actions. The fact that I had to get my mother on the phone who speaks fluent Spanish just to speak to them to ask them to leave is wrong. Also, Brendan, I paid. I even made sure to put in writing to your company and said over the telephone that same day i wanted to fulfill my obligation and make sure to pay the rest of the amount I owed and it was only the EXTRA amount that I was disputing. So before you say the customer was refusing to pay you need to actually speak to all involved. And completing their job doesn't entitle them to trespass on property. I repeat, completing the job does not require trespassing and refusal to leave. read more

AMAZING group moved us from VA to FL. Jorge was the leader of the 4BL that moved us. The workers faced horrible conditions--nothing they had any control over ie: truck got stuck on our pipestem, weather was hottest day of the year, had a massive walk down the pipestem with our heavy belongings for awhile until another truck was brought in, stayed until 11:30 pm to finish. Not a single bad attitude among them--from start to finish! At 11:30 pm they were as friendly, helpful and as strong as they were at 9 am! Amazing. (I suspect they were actually Super Hero's in disguise.) Must also mention they communicated well with us throughout, price was set right and very pleasant to deal with---I had to change our move dates 2x's and it was no problem. Can't recommend enough! read more

This company came recommended from our realtor. They are nice, and the movers do a decent job. But our crews did not all speak English. And they made some assumptions without asking us, which was not good. Our biggest problem with them is that they underestimated how much space it would take to move our house. The estimator, Josh, came to the house and looked at everything. Despite that, they were not able to fit three shelving units, and a TON of other things, so the house is not empty! When I asked them to finish the job, they gave me a quote for another $1700!!! That is not happening, we will have to finish the job ourselves. And the estimator was also wrong about how long it would take to pack up, so the total was about 500 more than the estimate (the incorrect estimate). We were moving a small house, less than 1600SF, and a 10x10 storage unit. The total cost for the partial move was $4800 (not including tip; the estimate was about 4300). I am disappointed that we still have to move the rest of our things. So if you do decide to call them, be EXTREMELY clear about what you want moved (as I thought we were), and be prepared to pay more than the estimate. read more

I have used My Guys Moving & Storage for several moves over the years. At this point, I don't even bother reaching out to other providers as the service and price can't be beat. Moving can be stressful enough as it is, but by using My Guys the actual move doesn't have to be one of them. They are always reliable and attentive to your needs and schedule. My most recent experience, and the reason for this review, is no exception. This move was scheduled for a friend whose buddies backed out on him two days before the move was to take place and couldn't afford movers on his own. A quick call with My Guys and Joe had everything all set. On moving day, the guys were on time (a little early), courteous, and attentive to my friends needs as he had never used professional movers before. They handled his furniture and boxes as if it were their own. They finished well ahead of what I had anticipated. Since you pay by the hour, after the two hour minimum, the move was nearly half of what I had budgeted for. These guys certainly are there to do the work and not eat up the clock. That has not been my experience with others who have a three hour minimum and higher hourly rate after that. I can't recommend My Guys Moving & Storage highly enough. These guys are the best in the area. read more

Let me put this review in perspective: 1. I'm a realtor (so I've encountered my fair share of moving companies) 2. I'm a native NYer (so my expectations are quite high) 3. I'm a "single" mom (so I'm serious about my budget) Terry Williams and the team At My Guys are HANDS DOWN, THE BEST moving company I have ever worked with. I refer them to all my clients but that was only AFTER I used them for one of my moves. 4 moves later, they are the ONLY moving company for me. The rates are reasonable. They take excellent care of your belongings and the spaces you are moving in and out of. They are punctual and there are no surprises when it comes down to payment. I couldn't not recommend them more. And just so you don't think I get some sort of business from them in exchange for my review......Terry's wife is a realtor. There is absolutely no way he would EVER refer me business over her. Knowing that I will NEVER EVER get a referral from him, he is STILL the ONLY moving company I will vouch for. Honest, reliable and capable. When was the last time you said that about a moving company? read more

Kenny White is the best!! We booked MyGuys for 2 moves and they're fast, efficient, and so careful with your things. My Guys Moving did an outstanding job both this move and our move three years ago. We packaged and moved all of our smaller items and then used My Guys Moving for our larger furniture pieces / heavier boxes. Every moved item was thoroughly secured and shrink wrapped and the apartment moved from / house moved into were taken care of and unmarred. After every moved item was unloaded, the crew walked the house with us and made sure that everything was where we wanted it. The crew was professional, courteous, and completed the job within the estimated time. We plan to use My Guys Moving for all future moving needs. read more

This is at least the fourth time I've used My Guys over the last 15 years...and the service has always been excellent, the pricing always reasonable, and the process simple. If I'm moving it will always be with My Guys! I really cannot imagine a better more cost-effective moving service existing. Btw, if you are getting quotes be careful about relying too much on the per-hour price. This particular move took 6 hours because the move-out location had a long walk-way. With a less professional - meaning less well equipped and trained - company that could easily have been 8-9 hours, meaning a company with a 20% lower hourly rate would have been the same price but spent two more hours of my time. I've had friends get the "lowest price" moving company only to regret it when the hours rack up, the truck isn't big enough, they don't have shrink wrap and moving blankets for all the furniture, they don't have enough dollys, etc. Stick with My Guys and you'll always be satisfied! read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE. Workers were 15 minutes late outside of the HOUR we were scheduled to begin. When I called to check in, the My Guys rep said "it's only 9:03, give them time." Mind you the arrival timeframe was 8 - 9. They took personal phone calls, took a chunk out of my wall, and used my restroom without asking four times, twice in the old house, and twice in the new. Leaving the toilet seat up both times!!!! I even shut the door to my bathroom both times as we did not want anyone moving stuff in there, but that didn't stop them! Nope, they walked right on in. They never introduced themselves by name. When I asked them to put the toilet seat down, they ignored me before eventually doing it. It took them 2 hours to pack up a 500 square foot apartment. They didn't even take all their plastic wrap trash when they left. They complained multiple times about the 3rd floor apartment we were moving into. My Guys said they would pay for someone to fix the wall, but didn't offer anything else, saying they could only reiterate these things to them during the next "team huddle." Basically, they get a slap on the wrist, and I'm out a thousand dollars for a shoddy job. Don't be fooled, My Guys is a contractor. They contract with other moving companies, so these rave reviews you see about My Guys could be about another company that My Guys has assigned your job. Ours was J&R. I paid $1,015 for this service, and had to beg for them to put my toilet seat down after they used it without even asking. (Which I of course would have said yes had they just asked) Do not waste your money here. I'd recommend Your Moving Company out of Fredericksburg. Fewer frills, but the guys are nice and care about your experience. read more

The second time we used My Guys, they did not know how to pack efficiently, had a creepy guy the others called "Grandpa" who kept trying to corner me in a room and hug me, and he began packing things in my vehicle since they could not pack the truck efficiently. "Grandpa" creeped me out, so I kept my kids far from him. Several pieces of furniture were scratched or broken once we got the wrap off of them and put in place. I believe My Guys uses their best movers the first time and just anyone thereafter. Thank you for calling me, Brendan. read more

I picked Two Guys and A Truck for my recent move. I have generally used hourly help from local 7-Eleven but after a bad experience last time when they dropped my free standing bar that resulted in a little damage to the unit. So after reading all the reviews on Yelp and calling them up and comparing prices, I went with 1 Guys. And I'm glad I did! We set a time for 9:30 AM and hoping they would be in by 10 AM. But 2 guys and a truck showed up at my Apartment at 9 AM! They were very methodical with the move - wrapping all furniture in blankets and then plastic wrap! My 300lb bar looked like a wrapped up doll! They wasted no time in loading the truck - no smoke break, no food break, etc...(not that I was cracking the whip of such). Unloading was a breeze too - they set all the furniture and even the carpets at the new condo. The entire process too less than 5 hours and I was happy with their work! None of my glass stuff broke :) Happy to recommend them anytime..... read more

The guys were amazing, ZERO complaints on service. And the price came in less than estimated, WOW!! This company did an amazing job . Definitely 5-STAR! Very efficient, cooperative, friendly and courteous. The service was superb from the initial estimate to the last box was removed from the truck. Team lead, Reuben, and his crew were fantastic!!!! They showed up on time and just kicked it into gear! They never stopped. They even didn't take the full lunch break. They guys were so friendly and careful I would've thought they were moving their grandma! I won't lie, I found the starting estimate price to the final price a bit of a jump (it felt kind of bait and switchy) and the contact guy stopped responding after I made my deposit which was irritating. BUT, Reuben and his guys were phenomenal! Quick! Focused! Thorough! Friendly! I wanted to have a drink when we were all done! That's how great they were! Thanks guys!!!! read more
