The service isn't too bad, and if you are coming from another carrier, they have GREAT offers for new phones. However, once they have you signed up. The fun ends. We have been with them for yrs and just went to find out about upgrading to new phones. They have a current promotion for new customers for a FREE Samsung A10. If I could give a zero star rating I would but I have to put one. I had Metro for 4 or 5 years and it just got worse and worse. At first it was good because it was a decent price. But then on my phone, it started to send multiples of the same message when I sent one, people would receive the multiple messages when I only sent one, messages failing, messages sending on one end and not being recurved on another, calls would drop, it was a fluster fuck to switch a number to a new phone (they ended up adding another line and switching other numbers to different phones on my account), they wouldn't let us unlock a phone, and extremely slow service. Just because they are now own by T-Mobile doesn't mean anything. Just go to T-Mobile if you can afford it because they have better service and I haven't had any issues with them at all. read more

So the only thing that we have had a problem with is making a payment online, or on the MetroPCS app, or on the MetroPCS Wi-Fi in store, with the only acceptable payment is in store with their card reader and having to pay the $3 service fee for payment in store. This is really upsetting because we have had this problem now for 3 months and we had not had this problem prior to three months ago. We tried customer service, and paying by phone. Paying by phone was a joke because the service cut in and out so we couldn't hear anything. We made sure that our bank information was all up-to-date, and we made sure that we were logged into our own account online on the website. None of it works. I work from my phone. For some reason, my phone didn't charge at all while it was plugged in all night. I needed to get it fixed right away, as the battery was about to die. Ali repaired the charging port on my iPhone 5s for $50. Works like new! The Apple Store couldn't help me because my warranty had expired--that means $280 to replace my phone. My carrier, AT&T, basically said the same thing. An authorized Apple repair center said it would take some days to mail my phone to Cupertino and back. Thanks MetroPCS! read more

Yesterday my phone rang and I heard the ringer going off however I was still looking at my home screen and I could not answer the call? I called Metro today they told me they upgraded their network to 5G and my 6S how longer supports 5G so therefore my phone is not worth anything and I need a new phone really? This purchase was entirely and unambiguously conditional on the promise made by metroPCS that I would have data service in my new location after I moved. I moved, and guess what, no data service! Of course metroPCS now refuses to unlock my phone, even though it was entirely the company's mistake that caused this situation. Rather than acknowledging their mistake and unlocking my phone so I can get service in my new city, metroPCS would rather leave their customer holding the bag, forcing me into a useless plan for another two months. For starters they talk entirely too much. What if you are on break and try to get a problem resolved quick metro is terrible and are not urgent at all. I called today and was on hold for an hour and the problem still didnt get resolved. I give a three star rating due to amazing customer service. If it wasn't for that I'd rate -1. The customer service is awesome, the service provided is horrible. I purchased the hotspot with the biggest package. There service is junk. I watched a loading screen the whole time and was charged for it. I called and asked why my data was used up and I didn't even get to stream right I was loading the whole time. They said sorry can't prove I didn't stream and enjoy it. I was talked into buying it because at the store they said it would stream video games. I figured video games take a lot it'd be perfect for low data streaming. I was lied to. It can not stream anything it loads and charges you for it. There excuse was that my data was low and it slows when low. I waited until the next month with no data used same thing. Loading only. When I brought it to their attention they had no answer made me feel like I was lying. I switched to Verizon I'm extremely happy. Even when my data is low I can still stream. To sum it up metro is junk they are volume not quality. They have a long way to go to compete. They take advantage of people who can't go to a "real" carrier. The area is nice around alot of food spots and stores. You feel right at home and not like your at a car dealership. Highly recommend. I went in to replace my IPhone 7 screen, Mohammed and Imad the sale reps, convinced me to switch over my service from AT&T. I always heard from people that Metro PCS is garbage but so far it's been great for me. Unlimited 4GLTE, including messages to other countries for just $55 a month with taxes and fee included. There was no activation fee upon activating the service. CAN'T BEAT THAT!!! Saving $40 a month is a great feeling on service which I haven't had no issues with and I travel for work a lot. Thank you Imad for taking time to explain the service otherwise I wouldn't have known. The charged a reasonable amount to change the screen as well. I bought a phone for my daughter and was told I would get it for free when I submit the rebate. I submitted the rebate online through their site and got a confirmation it was complete. I checked the tracking number frequently and couldn't find the it. Finally, I called and asked why it wasn't showing up. They said they found it and will process it. In turn they put a submission date a week after I actually submitted it which meant the 12 weeks turned into more than 13 weeks and then they denied it. They are liars. read more

I bought an iPhone 7 and went to switch service and was told it wasn't unlocked when they told me before I bought it that it was and I wouldn't have any problems switching carriers if I wasn't satisfied. Needless to say I definitely wasn't!! Now they are stating I have to stay with them for 6months before I can switch. No paperwork was given I didn't sign anything and wasted money on a phone I can no longer use. You will not get another penny of my money!! Do not go to this company, run as fast as you can. I have had service with the company for over 3yrs with the same phone number. For Christmas, my boyfriend wanted to get me a phone I had my eye on for over a month. We went to the store on S.Nevada in Colorado Springs and a lady was showing me an upgraded version of the phone I actually wanted. After 45minutes of specs and comparisons I told her I wanted the phone I came in for and she said listen if you don't like the upgraded version of the old phone then you can just bring it back and exchange it for the phone you actually wanted, but and you have 14days on exchange and returns. My boyfriend and I looked at each other and said ok, as they were the same price at $149.00. I stressed to her that if I didn't like this phone for sure I could return it. She reassured me over and over again it was refundable and returnable. I got it home and hated it right off the bat. Not user-friendly unable to use it the way the other phone works and everything came with a fee and the phone I believe is a used phone or refurbished phone on top of that. Calls were being missed and unable to see the screen and the calls outgoing were hard to hear. Christmas Eve and Christmas day were out of town so I was not able to bring the phone back and on Wednesday the 26th we put everything together in the same bag they gave us with everything for the phone and I was excited to get rid of the nasty phone and get the one that I knew had good reviews online. Went inside and showed the guy the phone was not user-friendly and I wanted to get the other phone I came for the first time. I explained I tried the phone out and I hate it. He said too bad he wasn't replacing the phone because it had 4.5hrs of talk time on it and not liking the phone wasn't enough to exchange it and told me I shouldn't have purchased the phone in the first place. All sales are final.!? I said she never told us not to use the phone. I told him I wanted Corporate phone number and he handed a slip where he said he wrote the number down for corporate. We got home and the next day I called the Corporate number he gave me and it was an auto insurance company. I found the number on my phone and spoke with customer service after 2hrs. They said that's not their policy and the lady was very concerned about the practice of the South Nevada store. She told us to go to Denver to the corporate store to get the phone replaced. She went on to tell me the corporate stores will replace my phone and screen protector and case and make sure to call the store before driving to Denver to make sure they had my phone available. I called the corporate store in Denver and the guy I spoke with said no they won't replace the phone either! I told him I wasn't a new service, I have had the service for 3yrs. He said I am so sorry you have had such a bad experience but pretty much my problem, not theirs. I am so ticked off right now I want to take a sign down and tell people they are liars and won't disclose a non-return policy until your suckered into their scams. LOL, can you imagine being talked into a phone you didn't want but ended up with it then trying to return it and you CANT? Would you ever buy anything if it didn't have a return policy? No one would buy anything if you couldn't return the product. Long story short, I am Going to Boost Mobile and want to get ahold of the person from California to start a civil lawsuit against this criminal company. They all lie and no truths at all with this company. They will lie about giving you refunds or exchanges. They pass the buck from one part of the company to the other. Always helpful, Best deals, Can fix any issue and is the friendliest guy. If he is in the store I know he can take care of it. He doesn't nickle and dime me for little things either. Anytime I need a new phone and learn how to work this is the place to go. He has a great crew there that are always helpful as well and if they can't help me they give me his schedule so I can come see him. Terrible service at the Maywood, CA store. Sales rep charged before making sure she could provide Me the service and created a caos in their system changing my plan and created overcharges. The manager was very unprofessIonal and rude. Did not let me explain my self because she said I was "only going to repeat the same thing over and over." Did not let me talk to a supervisor because she was the manager. She tried to help at first but said I had to solve the issue with my bank; however, it was an internal problem in Metro's system. When I tried to explain myself she wouldn't let me talk because she said she had already tried to help me. She refused to let me talk to anyone else and also refused to give me her name and kicked me out saying she has the right to refuse service, all to avoid fixing the over charges in her system. She went as far as to call me stupid for making such a big deal. Of course I came out frustrated if she did nothing to fI'd the issue. As their existing customer, you have the right to be at the store until they fix the issue. You have the right to demand they return your money if they made the mistake. You also have the right to be treated with dignity and respect specially when you are treating them respectfully, and specially from a manager. A business has the right to refuse service if you are treating them bad, are being aggressive, or threatening, but not for demanding they do their job. You have the right to feel frustrated and talk to them in a firm manner if they are talking over you and not letting you speak at al. That is no reason to refuse service to an already existing customer who they are already servicing. read more
