Walked in here to see if they could help me switch the SIM card from one iPhone to another iPhone that I got fry my girlfriend because mines dropped and shattered the screen. My moms iPhone 7+ ear speaker was really low (she doesn't have apple care) but we needed to get it fixed and i didn't want to take it to a third party because I've had horrible experiences with that. However before bringing it in, i tried all the home remedies.. *cleaning charger port *blowing air in it *cleaning ear speaker with alcohol and cotton swab *taking screen protector off *turning phone noise canceling on/off as well as hearing aid. Nothing worked. So i came in yesterday, as soon as they opened 10:10am. The person ran some tests and turned out the ear piece needed to be replaced. That there was a small chance a plug might just need to be reconnected. Thats free. If it needed to be cleaned, $30. If it needed to be replaced $60. But if the whole screen needed to be repaired, it's $160. And this is all because my mom didn't have apple care!! Anyway, they had to send the phone out to another location they said it'd guarantee be ready between 5-6pm. They emailed me at 4:49pm, it was ready for pick up so i went at 530pm picked it up. With tax totaled to $182.69. The staff was nice and fast to work with. Answered all my questions. Would def bring my apple prodicya here to be fixed etc. Word of advice, if you have an apple product, GET APPLE CARE. read more

And lickety split I was at their shop. Martin Sanchez, the Master Technician, took my computer, did a hard re-set, and voila, it worked! He also cleaned the port where the charger goes. And he showed me step-by-step how to fix this problem should it occur again. When I asked him how much fixing my MacAir cost, he said no charge, part of the service (with a smile, no less). I was out of there in mere minutes! What an absolutely pleasant experience! Can't say how much I appreciate him and Mobile Kangaroo for the help. I was in an annoyance mode when my home wifi kept getting disconnected and tried rebooting my iMac as our personal wifi was working for everyone else's computer/phones at home. Then suddenly, the wifi could not be detected and I had to call Apple Care to try to troubleshoot the problem on the phone. When all methods had been tried, Apple referred me to an Apple Authorized Service Provider in Berkeley called Mobile Kangaroo as the Apple Store nearby didn't have an appointment available for 4 days so they made an appointment for me at 4 PM on Memorial Day at Mobile Kangaroo. Parking can be difficult on a regular day but because it was a holiday, I was able to find parking. Mobile Kangaroo is a small store located at 133 Berkeley Square (which is Shattuck Avenue) which is right in the middle of the hubbub of Berkeley, between Addison and Center. Anyway, Natalie Sierra was very helpful and within two days, my Wifi was fixed and it had to do with a firmware update. All is good especially since my iMac was under warranty so no charge for the diagnostic! read more
