This is was my first visit. The restaurant was pretty full but we were seated quickly. The service was good . The reason I am only giving it 3 stars is because one of the plates was a disaster. My husband ordered chicken and waffles, he loved it. I tasted the chicken and it was pretty good. However, the beef hash with poached eggs and a biscuit wasn't that good. The biscuit was dry, the poached eggs weren't cooked properly (the white was still running clear) and the corn beef hash, well there was so many peppercorns still in it that it was almost impossible to eat. I've heard good things about the restaurant so I am not giving on it just yet. I will give it another try. Note** our waitress noticed something was wrong so she asked me, when I explained she called the manager. She removed my order from the bill and gave me something else on the house. Never been before, but already planning our return visit. We sat at the counter and watched the team masterfully serve up amazing looking plate after plate. Food presentation was awesome. The manager attentively watched the pass through window making sure that everything got delivered quickly. Never did we see a plate sit long enough to drop temp. Love this place! Go hungry as their portions are large. The nice thing is that they offer half orders on most things. The chicken and waffles are off the chain! Make sure you ask for extra spicy syrup to go...you will want it. They have outdoor seating, so bring your well behaved pets and order the Huevos Rancheros!!! Friendly staff! read more

This restaurant is pretty pedestrian. The food was not what I would expect for what I paid for it. The service was pretty slow and my waitress really wasn't very friendly. Frankly, she came across as being really ghetto. Not what I like to spend money to go out and see. We enjoyed our breakfast which included eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and pancakes. The bacon was very greasy as were the hashbrowns. The service was exceptional as was the coffee. Next time I will get the sausage rather than the bacon. read more

Friendly and efficient staff. Food came out quickly and fresh. I love breakfast for dinner so I had the hash and eggs. Eggs were poached perfectly, the hash was a little spicier than I expected but not the canned stuff you get some places so I was happy. The BLT had crispy bacon and the waffles looked fantastic. My brother stopped here for dinner before and confirmed that the high ratings were well deserved. We went as a group and had one of the friendliest service staffs ever. Five stars for service and five stars for food. I didn't try anyone else's dish but the breakfast pie I ordered was on point. The description on the menu reminded me of a dish I always got back home in California at one of my favorite breakfast spots. Metro's version came pretty close. Had the Shrimp and Grits and OMG!!! The restaurant is conveniently located, small and quaint, staff was very nice. It was a hot day, and even though I didn't have to wait nor drink any, I thought it was cool that they had put out infused water and cups for their customers in case there was a wait. I liked the food and my granddaughter loved the fried chicken. I gave them a three star rating as I had ordered the corned beef hash and what I got was a little scoop of hash and five pieces of bread and two small eggs. The eggs were ok but all that bread and very little meat was disappointing. What I did have was good but less bread and more meat would be better. That being said I will being going back and trying other items on the menu. read more

Then, when our food came, my daughter's chicken was cold, my eggs looked like that powdery egg mix you see in buffet lines and she brought me flavored coffee (which I DID NOT REQUEST). We were sat and a server walked past us twice and didn't look at me or my daughter. Well worth the wait. I have been wanting to try Metro Diner for a while now. Thank goodness IHOP was too crowded this morning. Metro Diner was beyond my expectations. The wait was about 30 min. (a good sign when a restaurant is packed). The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our meal.....the Bissell Breakfast was excellent. The portion sizes are worth every penny. They don't give you small bites. Most meals are easily shareable. I definitely recommend this place. 2 thumbs up. read more

This was my very first time visiting this restaurant and needless to say I will be returning very soon. When we arrived there was quite a wait, but once we were seated everything sent smooth. Our food came very quick and our waitress was very courteous and kind. I even told her she didn't have to kneel down to take our order she could have a seat. A new favorite of ours. I picked up my wife at the airport, and we went looking for a place for breakfast. Metro Diner came up in our online search. The place was busy, but only had to wait 10 minutes for a seat. Our server was very friendly, asking if it was our first time there, and told us about the specials on the chalkboard. We selected the country fried steak, and decided to split it, turned out to be a smart decision, as the portion was huge.
