Stopped in for lunch and it was wonderful, sorry no pictures. I had the cheese stuffed ravioli and my wife had the pork chops. The food was delicious. Rebecca our server was hopping, she was the only person serving at the time and she kept up with us better than some restaurants with a full staff. I love Frank and Linda's. We have lived in Rincon for over 25 years and have gone to eat here many, many times. The food is good, and the people are very friendly. Breakfast is always good, we commonly get the Eggs Benedict and the biscuits and gravy. My mom and I used to go for a BLT and a glass of wine every Friday evening. We have enjoyed many of the daily specials off the blackboard. The prices are very reasonable, and we will continue to visit this local restaurant. read more

Really wanted to like this place and support a local business (as another reviewer noted). Server was very welcoming and attentive. The inside of the restaurant was very dark and outdated. Felt like a time warp into a 90's era restaurant. Food came out very quick. The bread and the salad were good. Meal was downhill from there. Ordered the stuffed grouper which was ok but not great. I expected more for the price. The thing that really turned me off was the fact that they served what I was fairly certain were CANNED peas. That was the kiss of death right there. Went for lunch. Ordered the chicken souvlaki on pita bread which was delicious. I asked for a substitute for the side and i agreed to the corn on the cob. When she bought it out I couldn't believe how tiny it was and when the bill at the end of my meal was given to me I was charged an extra $3.00 for it which surprised me. I have had Frank and Linda's a number of times and I've never been disappointed. This was my first visit in about a 1 1/2. I always get the Bruschetta appetizer it's amazing! My Grannie had the Wild Alaskan Salmon and I had the Supremo Fettuccini but were really tasty although we had to take them home after the salads and Fried Green Tomato Appetizer (try them with Cesar dressing instead of ranch)! We have been talking about trying since moving to Rincon, went for breakfest on a Sunday. A child was behind the counter and seated us. The place smelled like cigarettes, hardly anyone in there and the child took our drink order. A waitress came over to ask our drink order again and mentioned that if the child messes anything up to let her know....the child looked 8-10 at the most. Drove past this restaurant 100 times and today we finally stopped in for lunch. Our waitress Laurie greeted us at the door and showed us to our table. My wife ordered a lunch pasta meal and I had a chicken souvlaki pita. My wife's pasta looked like a dinner sized portion which came with a fresh salad and fresh baked bread, My pita was huge and stuffed with perfectly cooked white breast of chicken. This came with pickle and chips but I opted for the French fries instead. Not the normal old restaurant fries I would assume that they make them fresh. They're lucky to have a waitress as attentive and friendly as Laurie she even commented on how well the owners treat her like family. It's refreshing to see and talk to people who actually love their job. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be returning soon. read more

Over the past two months I have tried the spaghetti and meatballs, the lasagna and liver Bonaparte and hamburger steak and tonight the chicken cacciatore also had fried green tomatoes with each order. The liver Bonaparte was very good. Fried green tomatoes first were too salty. Then each time I got them after that they were excellent. Tonight's fried green tomatoes are salty. Sad to say everything that requires a red sauce n noodles taste exactly the same. There should be a difference in the flavor of the red sauces but all same taste just a few different ingredients. Not sure I'll be ordering anything except for the Fried Green Tomatoes. Not a great experience. read more

I recently visited My mom who lives nearby Frank & Linda's Diner, my fiancé had a birthday and they were more than accommodating, definitely a must try I will 100% be returning the next time that I visit I ordered the steak and my fiancé ordered pasta and across the board we unanimously loved everything we ordered. Ambiance is ok but our table in particular was so wobbly, I thought it was going to fall apart any second. Our waitress was super friendly but the entire wait staff seemed to be disorganized. The wait staff kinda wondered here and there and not a whole lot seemed to get accomplished. People walking past dirty tables for quite a while before someone decided to bus it. I overheard the same conversation several times from various workers asking patrons if they've been helped, had anyone taken your drink orders, etc. We ordered mozzarella sticks that came with a red sauce. The sauce is so sweet that it's overwhelming, not in a good way. It had an "off" taste that is hard to describe. If I had to describe it, it was almost as if it was a mix of mozzarella and a stinky cheese like taleggio or something stronger. We disliked the red sauce so much that we asked the waitress to ensure it didn't come with the ravioli dish we ordered. The waitress called it a pomodoro sauce, however it was very different than any other pomodoro sauce I've had before. We couldn't eat anymore than a few bites. For our entree, I got a filet and my girlfriend got ravioli. I'm having a hard time putting this into words but the short of it is I had 2 bites. I had the second bite, only to make sure it was really as bad as I thought the first bite was. It looked terrible, and the taste was awful. My girlfriends ravioli was covered in a thick layer of cheese with the previously mentioned sauce and a meatball. She immediately mentioned it reminded her of eating chef Boyardee during her childhood. I sampled her dish and... wow, pretty spot on description. She did manage to eat 1/2 of a ravioli and 1/2 of her meatball so just slightly more of her dish than I did of mine. I was told the seafood was delivered fresh and frozen after arrival at the resturant. All the seafood on my seafood platter tasted like grocery store frozen seafood. Also, it was barely warm when it arrived at my table. The Cole slaw was horrible tasting. My baked potato was cold. When I told the waitress about the potato, she told me she could warm it up. I have been told the solution to a cold baked potato was to warm it up. My friend said their burger was o.k. I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

That gold star is for our poor waitress who was obviously over worked for an Understaffed restaurant. Watched one of the other waitresses drop a glass, leave it and wait 20 mins before coming back to sweep it and the spilt ice off the floor. The other waitress freak out about the credit card machine calling for our waitress to help her. Mind you this place is packed. People are lined up at the front door with no mask or social distancing. The menu is huge which is not a compliment. We ordered the Rosemary Ribeye (which costs about 25.00), it was tuff and overcooked. No seasoning or flavor. My husband ordered the Entree of seared tuna which was appetizer size. While we were getting our food multiple items were brought to our table that were not ours. Seems like the kitchen was communicating or had no idea what was actually on their huge menu. Over all the experience was only saved by the company we were with and the waitress. We spent 3 hours from sit down to check out and was it "worth it?". No! Our first visit to Frank and Linda's started off really well. The lighting was low and had a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was quick to get us taken care of and got us started with a side salad and fried potato skins. The potato skins alone were really good and had my hopes up for our main entrees. I was split between ordering the Chicken Marsala or the Shrimp D'Iavola but that choice was made easy when my wife ordered the Chicken Marsala. My hopes plummeted at the first bite of my Shrimp D'Iavola. It was spicy as expected, but the flavor was off and it was hard to continue. I looked at my wife's Chicken Marsala and was not filled with hope. The mushrooms were barely cooked, the sauce was underwhelming and the chicken was dry. We enjoyed everything else so we do want to come back and give it another shot, but we will definitely be ordering something different since the pasta dishes are 0/2. read more

I've only been here twice for breakfast but will likely not come back again based on today's experience. From the moment we walked in the restaurant seemed to be a bit disorganized. The wait staff brought out a wrong order to a table near us and were confused about what table was getting what food. It also seemed that they weren't too familiar with the menu. The food was only mediocre. I ordered biscuits and gravy. The biscuits that they used for this dish looked like the Pillsbury refrigerated biscuits that you would buy at the grocery store. Going out for breakfast, one typically looks for something at least a bit more gourmet. My husband liked his dish except that his pancakes were undercooked. Half way through the meal our waitress had to take our syrup to give to another table because they didn't have enough syrup bottles for everyone. Lastly, we had to ask twice for a to-go box because our waitress forgot about it the first time. So overall this was a disappointing experience. The service our first time there was better but the food was again just mediocre. read more

Just ate dinner. Wait staff was very friendly and service was fast. The restaurant was not taking into consideration the present covid 19 guidelines. When seated the hostess wore her mask under her chin. At first our waitress was wearing her mask and then when our food was served her mask was under her chin. Lots of room to spread people out in the restaurant but everyone was seated close together. When waiting for the restroom (outside of the kitchen) I noted not a single person in the kitchen was wearing a mask. I left very uncomfortable!! Hope I didn't catch anything while there. Who charges to add cheese onto French Onion soup that's like charging to add bread onto your cheeseburger!! To add onto all that I never even got the soup which I waited 20 min for but was charged for it. Got a simple "I'm sorry" on my way out. Place is awful and the owners should read these reviews. Terrible experience. Takes 2 hours to get food when you're the 3rd table sitting down. They illegally surcharge debit card transactions, don't season fries, have noodles that taste like they have menthol in them, have 3 waitresses on a Friday night then blame the waitstaff for the fact that the food is incredibly disgusting, slow, and overpriced to the point where the manager had the poor young waitress in tears. Manager does not do their job, will not call you back so you can voice concerns. Out of food and you won't find out until 30 minutes after you order. And then claim to have Wagyu for $36 when it was quite obviously nothing more than an undercooked strip at best. Save your time and stomach! read more

Ugh! Came in for b'fast, noticed the "Please wait to be seated" sign and after 10 min not a person to be seen so we sat ourselves. It's 10 min before we see an employee. One other customer there whom I note has to go find someone to pay her bill. Finally we get waited on, I try to order milk and am told "my Uncle hasn't bought any." Husband orders coffee, I have to get up and ask for sugar. More than 30 min after placing our order we are told "there's a problem with the grill, your order will be out soon." 30 minutes later we leave a $5 for milk and coffee and walk out. No food and an hour wait. Pathetic! If you do not provide good or even competent service, people will not patronize your business. Period. read more

He said it wasn't bad, but really didn't have much flavor. My son ordered the bacon cheeseburger. It looked pretty good and he said it was good. The service was spotty. When the server was at the table, she was good. But it seemed like at times, she forgot us. She dropped the check off and we waited and waited and waited for her to come back to get the payment. I love the food, large portions and the Italian dishes taste homemade. However, each time I've been here the service is seriously lacking. The Waitresses are nice of course, but from forgotten salads, taking 20 minutes to take our order, or never checking back in after dropping off the food, they are truly in need of training. I have never had truly good service at the restaurant, which is a shame since the food is always so delicious. There's not a lot of options in Rincon, this is one of our go-tos.
