I was shocked to see this has a 3 star overall rating. I was alone and felt like a princess, I was treated so well. I was sooo hungry, I ordered an app, an entree and a dessert to go! The chicken fried steak took up over half the plate, needless to say, I couldn't eat it all. All the food was incredible and I really went overboard and ordered Painkiller cocktail. We discovered Cheddar's on a vacation several years ago. It was the Cheddar's in Pooler, our go-to for many years. Last week we had to make the hard decision to not go back. Cheddars's was the perfect first stop during my visit. It was conveniently located near my hotel. Upon arrival, I sat at the bar. Few minutes later I was greeted by the server. The area was crowded, so I was not too upset about the wait time. I ordered a cocktail and appetizer for a starter. The caesar salad and croissant were the first to arrive. The salad was well dressed and fresh. The croissant was tasty but did not live up to the hype. For my entree, I ordered the key west chicken and shrimp. It was served over rice with a side of broccoli casserole. The chicken, shrimp, and rice were delicious. The food was hot and nice portion. However, the broccoli casserole was disgusting. The breadcrumbs had an unpleasant texture and taste. I did not enjoy. As stated before, I ordered an appetizer. But the appetizer never was delivered. Cheddar's is always a nice go to for a quick and inexpensive lunch / dinner. During my last visit the service was amazing, but the portions were not like usual. I usually get the chicken tender salad and the tenders were very small almost like they should have been on the kids menu and the actual salad portion was minimal. I usually have leftovers for up to 2 days and during this visit I actually ate it all in 1 setting. Not sure if they are cutting back because of cost or what, but the friend I was dining with felt the same about her Caesar salad pasta. I will start by saying our server was doing the best he could. He maintained a positive outlook under difficult conditions beyond his control. The AC was not operating when we dined and while we thought it was an acute issue, certain instances made it apparent this was not a new issue. One dedicated local customer brought his own fan. Unfortunately for us we were traveling from out of town and didn't get the memo that this was a hot venue. The floors were unclean, bathrooms less than satisfactory and remarkably understaffed. There were plenty of open tables but a line out the door due to staffing. The food was ok, but the wait for drinks was over 20 minutes. We stopped here after playing a little mini-golf while on our epic road trip. We arrived a little after 6:30 on a Thursday night. The hostess told us it would be a little bit of a wait, which was super weird because the place had SO many empty tables (however, there was someone "famous" (locally "famous", anyway) in the restaurant)... perhaps that is why we had such a long wait. The area we sat in was chaotic but our server was outstanding. It was loud but super clean. There were six of us; four adults and two teens. We started with the famous croissants... I am not a butter fan so I was a bit "meh" about them but the rest of the group loved them. The table started out with the spinach dip. I didn't try it but it was devoured. I ordered the potato soup and a side of fries. My soup was thick and yummy and the fries were okay. My husband ordered the Smokehouse Burger. He enjoyed it. My son ordered the chicken sandwich and said it was pretty darn good. He finished it all, and that is a good sign. My daughter ordered a burger and she said it was pretty okay. Our friends had a salad and the chicken fried steak. The chicken fried steak was heavy and the next day, our friend didn't feel well all day. He isn't sure if it was his dinner or not, but he was definitely under the weather. We don't live near a Cheddar's but I think if we did, we might give it another try. read more

Awful!!! Friday night 8:30, not crowded but the staff was in a frenzy. Met a bridal party there to say hello. They had already ordered and were waiting.... A long time apparently. Myself and parents decided to grab a table and order since we were tired from traveling! The floors were filthy, staff running around in a panic. We were in no rush but it took a while to order 2 strawberry lemonades and an Arnold Palmer and the great warm rolls that never arrived. After 20 minutes of waiting for the rolls, we asked for them and were told that they were out. Had I known that, I would have picked a different restaurant. I ordered the chicken buffalo wraps, my parents Spasagna and fish/chips. The fries were over cooked and the wraps were cold. My parents do not like to send food back so they ate a bit so they wouldn't be hungry. The waitress asked if we wanted to go containers, in unison "no, thank you". As a frequent visitor to Cheddar's in Warner Robins, I expected the same delicious food and great service. I put in a second order only to be told that my potato now would take 20 additional minutes from my tenders and shrimp I ordered. The side of green beans was not tasty. The do have a gluten free menu, which is great for us as my daughter can't eat gluten. There was a question about whether the fries were cross contaminated in the fry oil (they are). They didn't have an immediate response and took time to go investigate for us, which I appreciated. They initially seated our group of six at a four person booth. A manager noted before we said anything and had us reseated at a larger table. I appreciated his proactive response. The long wait was due to short staffing and not a lack of tables. They started us with honey butter croissants, which were on the house and were the highlight of our meal. For appetizers, we had santa fe spinach dip and for dinner, we had a smokehouse burger. The portions were good, but the food was ok. Nothing to rave about. I want to start out by saying this is the 3rd time my family has eaten here in as many weeks and this is the first big mess up. My family has been staying near Cheddar's in an extended stay hotel for my husband's work. The first time we tried Cheddar's we were very impressed. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, my daughter's alfredo penne was delicious, and we enjoyed the appetizer trio. I discovered the kid's portions are actually huge so the next time we went I ordered the kids grilled chicken alfredo meal. The chicken was very tasty and well prepared. Tonight my husband called in a to-go order that included a kids chicken alfredo. When he got back to the hotel he realized the meal and extra sauce he had ordered were missing (this was after he had waited 15-20 min past the pick up time). He immediately called the restaurant and asked if he could please get a replacement. I specifically heard him order the grilled chicken alfredo. When he got back he handed me the meal and I opened it to find that not only was the chicken missing, there were bits of broccoli and other seasonings clumped in on one side. Not a whole serving of broccoli, just like a spoon from another dish had been used to scoop up my serving. Or perhaps whoever prepared it accidentally started to make the adult grilled chicken alfredo (which does include broccoli) and then overcorrected by removing the broccoli and chicken? I don't know. I hope it's something innocent like that but it kind of grossed me out wondering if a disgruntled worker tampered with it or something. The restaurant was clean and staff was quick and friendly. We both enjoyed our food. I ordered the blackened salmon with broccoli cheddar casserole and a loaded baked potato. My husband ordered the Key West chicken and shrimp with a Caesar salad and fries. The chicken and shrimp came with a dipping glaze that was so good! We both enjoyed our plates and went home with leftovers. We also ordered a Trio sampler for an appetizer which came with chicken strips, chips and queso, and spinach dip, which was all very good. Finally, we each ordered a cocktail. My husband got the Texas Sweet Tea and I got the Island Tiki. Both were good but the Texas Sweet Tea was definitely our favorite! read more
