Never heard of this place before and was pleasantly surprised. Were seated promptly and given menus. Waiter came to take our order reasonably quickly and he was super nice and friendly and was clearly doing his best, but he was also the bartender so he had a hard time staying on top of things, although I don't blame him. He's doing two jobs which shouldn't be the case. It took way too long to just get water and iced tea. The bread didn't come out until we got our meals, snd getting a refill for the drink also took way too long. The guy was doing his best, but there needed to be another person to keep things running smoothly. The food itself was surprisingly good. I got the grilled whitefish which was cooked nicely and it was very tasty. The rice was good too. My sides were coleslaw (very good) and green beans (too soft and overloaded with butter, although I think that is pretty typical southern style). Had a caeser salad also which was not bad. Not amazing but perfectly fine, and I very good size. My friend had a salad with grilled chicken which he liked a lot. The raspberry iced tea was really good. I asked for it not sweet, and it was perfect. Prices were extremely reasonable. I'd definitely come back here. read more

Our waitress was very nice and sweet. Even though the restaurant was packed and busy, our wait time wasn't long at all. The prices for both the food and drinks were reasonable, and everything tasted great. My only complaint is that I wish my food had been served a little hotter, while my friends felt their chicken pot pie was served a little too hot and needed to cool down first. I was shocked to see this has a 3 star overall rating. I was alone and felt like a princess, I was treated so well. I was sooo hungry, I ordered an app, an entree and a dessert to go! The chicken fried steak took up over half the plate, needless to say, I couldn't eat it all. All the food was incredible and I really went overboard and ordered Painkiller cocktail. They are crazy large and it took me about an hour to drink it. I had the big slice of carrot cake later that night, it was incredible! Overall good food and average service. Even though the waitress got the order right, the kitchen mixed up beef with chicken. We ordered chicken fried steak but got chicken fried chicken. It was very good though but not what was ordered. Waitress was average and not very attentive. It was not worth bringing up the mistake by the time the waitress checked up on us. Prior to my most recent visit of today, I would given 4 stars. Both my guest and I ordered the chicken pot pie. A salad came with it, which was excellent. Service was great at Cheddars today. The wait wasn't long and the food was delicious. Our sever was very attentive, and super cool, she even brought us some fresh out the oven croissants. Cheddars's was the perfect first stop during my visit. It was conveniently located near my hotel. Upon arrival, I sat at the bar. Few minutes later I was greeted by the server. The area was crowded, so I was not too upset about the wait time. I ordered a cocktail and appetizer for a starter. The caesar salad and croissant were the first to arrive. The salad was well dressed and fresh. The croissant was tasty but did not live up to the hype. For my entree, I ordered the key west chicken and shrimp. It was served over rice with a side of broccoli casserole. The chicken, shrimp, and rice were delicious. The food was hot and nice portion. However, the broccoli casserole was disgusting. The breadcrumbs had an unpleasant texture and taste. I did not enjoy. As stated before, I ordered an appetizer. But the appetizer never was delivered. The server canceled the appetizer order to correct the issue. Overall, my visit here was good. read more

Cheddar's is always a nice go to for a quick and inexpensive lunch / dinner. During my last visit the service was amazing, but the portions were not like usual. I usually get the chicken tender salad and the tenders were very small almost like they should have been on the kids menu and the actual salad portion was minimal. I usually have leftovers for up to 2 days and during this visit I actually ate it all in 1 setting. Not sure if they are cutting back because of cost or what, but the friend I was dining with felt the same about her Caesar salad pasta. I will start by saying our server was doing the best he could. He maintained a positive outlook under difficult conditions beyond his control. The AC was not operating when we dined and while we thought it was an acute issue, certain instances made it apparent this was not a new issue. One dedicated local customer brought his own fan. Unfortunately for us we were traveling from out of town and didn't get the memo that this was a hot venue. The floors were unclean, bathrooms less than satisfactory and remarkably understaffed. There were plenty of open tables but a line out the door due to staffing. The food was ok, but the wait for drinks was over 20 minutes. This was my first experience at the cheddars in Pooler. It was a fantastic experience. Let's start with our server, a beautiful girl names, Deasha. She was so attentive to our needs. She was extremely patient and kind. She recommended the whitefish to me. I followed her recommendation and it was a very tasty meal. I really enjoyed the fish. The restaurant was lively and fun. I went to cheddars in Pooler about six weeks ago and had a horrible experience and filed a complaint with corporate office. They me a refund and a gift card. So I decided last night I would give them a second chance. When I walked in, there were seven employees standing at the hostess station and the hostess said it would be about 15 to 20 minutes Before we were able to be seated because they were . But there was seven employees at the . The was completely empty. The bar side had lots of tables filled. I ordered chicken wings and ribs, food very quickly, the chicken tenders were cold and the ribs were un edible. They were so tough and overcooked and very dry. I sent my food back and again they just popped it in a microwave which then made the hot the french fries soggy. I've been to this restaurant twice in both times were horrible and I will never be back. For the price that they are charging for this food I expect better service and better quality of food. read more

Ate at this pooler Ga Chedders and it was ok . For a $23 steak it was chewey. The bread was very good but you only get one and havevto pay for any more. We discovered Cheddar's on a vacation several years ago. It was the Cheddar's in Pooler, our go-to for many years. Last week we had to make the hard decision to not go back. We stopped here after playing a little mini-golf while on our epic road trip. We arrived a little after 6:30 on a Thursday night. The hostess told us it would be a little bit of a wait, which was super weird because the place had SO many empty tables (however, there was someone "famous" (locally "famous", anyway) in the restaurant)... perhaps that is why we had such a long wait. The area we sat in was chaotic but our server was outstanding. It was loud but super clean. There were six of us; four adults and two teens. We started with the famous croissants... I am not a butter fan so I was a bit "meh" about them but the rest of the group loved them. The table started out with the spinach dip. I didn't try it but it was devoured. I ordered the potato soup and a side of fries. My soup was thick and yummy and the fries were okay. My husband ordered the Smokehouse Burger. He enjoyed it. My son ordered the chicken sandwich and said it was pretty darn good. He finished it all, and that is a good sign. My daughter ordered a burger and she said it was pretty okay. Our friends had a salad and the chicken fried steak. The chicken fried steak was heavy and the next day, our friend didn't feel well all day. He isn't sure if it was his dinner or not, but he was definitely under the weather. We don't live near a Cheddar's but I think if we did, we might give it another try. read more

Food was very average. I've never eaten at a Cheddar's so I didn't know what to expect but it reminded me of an Applebee's. I got the grilled salmon with a side salad and baked potato. The salmon and side salad were fine, but I've had better meals in the prepared foods section of Publix. The potato was horrible. It was over cooked and tasted old. Unfortunately, I have never enjoyed my visits to Cheddar's including this time. They have lots of potential for comfy food. I ordered the blackened whitefish. It was a bit salty. The side of green beans was not tasty. The do have a gluten free menu, which is great for us as my daughter can't eat gluten. There was a question about whether the fries were cross contaminated in the fry oil (they are). They didn't have an immediate response and took time to go investigate for us, which I appreciated. They initially seated our group of six at a four person booth. A manager noted before we said anything and had us reseated at a larger table. I appreciated his proactive response. It's not a bad place to eat, but just not exciting to draw me in. I know others that love it, so don't avoid trying it for yourself and making your own decision. read more

Awful!!! Friday night 8:30, not crowded but the staff was in a frenzy. Met a bridal party there to say hello. They had already ordered and were waiting.... A long time apparently. Myself and parents decided to grab a table and order since we were tired from traveling! The floors were filthy, staff running around in a panic. We were in no rush but it took a while to order 2 strawberry lemonades and an Arnold Palmer and the great warm rolls that never arrived. After 20 minutes of waiting for the rolls, we asked for them and were told that they were out. Had I known that, I would have picked a different restaurant. I ordered the chicken buffalo wraps, my parents Spasagna and fish/chips. The fries were over cooked and the wraps were cold. My parents do not like to send food back so they ate a bit so they wouldn't be hungry. The waitress asked if we wanted to go containers, in unison "no, thank you". As a frequent visitor to Cheddar's in Warner Robins, I expected the same delicious food and great service. I put in a second order only to be told that my potato now would take 20 additional minutes from my tenders and shrimp I ordered. The long wait was due to short staffing and not a lack of tables. They started us with honey butter croissants, which were on the house and were the highlight of our meal.
