    Seasoned green beans
    Rick J.

My family and I wanted to find a good spot to eat at in Savannah while on vacation in Hilton Head, SC. We came across Geneva's Chicken and Cornbread which had a 4.6 star rating. I can see why they received that many stars. The food was EXCELLENT! Everything was seasoned to perfection, from the chicken to the mashed potatoes to the green beans! It was GOOD! If you are ever in Savannah, GA - do yourself a favor and stop by to grab a bite to eat.

Visiting Savannah for the 3rd time but we will definitely be back here! Jaylan was our server and he was excellent. He has great customer service and made sure we had everything we needed. It will take some time to get your food if you get the fried chicken but it is worth it! It's cooked fresh to order. Hubby ordered the ox tail special with mash potatoes, green beans, mac and cheese. Daughter ordered four piece fried chicken with sweet potatoes, and I ordered the three piece fried chicken with greens. Some of our sides were an upcharge but it was worth it. Everything was delicious, we shared our sides. Hubby ordered banana pudding and finished it before we got out of the bathroom! The bathrooms are unisex and so clean and cute! Overall we really enjoyed our meal and had leftovers.

Food is phenomenal but service and infrastructure needs improvement. Young lady at the front desk was not friendly and I've been several times where the service was just not that great!

Potato logs- meh, don't waste your precious chicken capacity on these

Heck yeah. This place is more than worth the stop if you're passing through Savannah and good luck if you're a local because you're about to fall in love! This place has possibly the best fried chicken I ever experienced. Shatter-crisp, thin breading hiding the juiciest meat beneath, if you poke it before you bite in, you will likely send a river of juices flowing. To put it plainly- I am on ozempic now and it obviously affects my appetite.... The ozempic is no match for this chicken that was so flawless that I managed to power through and still put down four pieces. Did I suffer later? Yes, I sure did. Did I regret it? Not at all, life needs living and this chicken is life. Skip the potato logs, it's a waste of a side option with the many other choices. Yes, obviously you need to get the cornbread too. And the "tenders" and I put that in quotes because the more appropriate name would be CUTLETs. Absolutely huge, tender beyond belief... sigh, I hate that this place is five hours away from home but in a way... I'm also relieved.

Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 6:43PM Found this gem online and figured we'd give it a shot. Was seated right away. Place is well clean. We noticed they get pretty busy especially with a lot of orders for pickup. Service by Kiera was awesome, she was real helpful with any questions or recommendations. Food was really good, we would come back next time if ever in town and try a different dish. Minus 1 star for the 2% dine in fee, idk but I don't think I've ever seen a fee to Dine in before

Not to be dramatic but Geneva's fried chicken was the best fried chicken I have had in my entire life! I got the mac and cheese and blueberry cornbread. Incredible! My son had oxtail which he said was the best he ever had too. This restaurant is at an unassuming location in a shopping center. It was so well decorated, organized and delicious we thought this might be a chain, but it is somehow the only one! Highly recommend! Oh! And not shown was banana pudding we got to go! Also delish!

One of my boys had the Fried Chicken same thing lightly battered delicious seasonings and very moist

You'll never know what you're about to get until you go to Geneva's. Family run, polite, clean, excellent. Beyond expectations.. we pulled up all I noticed was more and more people going inside and we walked in and would you believe it we were sitting next to Geneva and just having a normal conversation with her. The fried chicken is battered so perfectly and the helpings are so proportionate. I wish we had one of these back home. I will definitely come again

Chicken Fry Bird Tenders with Mac N' Cheese and corn bread

The fried chicken is absolutely incredible! So are the fried chicken "tenders," even though they are technically cutlets as far as I'm concerned. Regardless, the chicken was crisp, juicy, and simply phenomenal! The rest was fairly mid and skippable. Staff were nice, but much of the cornbread menu was unavailable when we went, as they had only 2 options to choose. They also had half the restaurant closed off to dining, and they only offered bottle water to drink. Not sure if that's typical, but it was our experience. The restaurant was pretty clean and vibrant too, which made for an overall nice experience!

    Fried chicken and fried shrimp.

Absolutely amazing! We are vacationing in the area and wanted to try something different. I am so glad we stumbled across this gem. Wonderful customer service, clean and cute restaurant and astoundingly good southern food. We even were able to see our waiter sing "Happy Birthday" to another customer-D has a beautiful singing voice.

Fried Chicken A+ Potato Logs (Hubby gives them an A)

Tucked in a strip mall, this place is worth the wait. Delicious fried chicken. Delicate, plump & juicy fried shrimp. Shrimp sauce was good with it. Potato logs are essentially steak fries, but good. The guy next to us got sweet potatoes and next time, I'm trying those. They looked really good. Service was good. Cornbread is the not sweet kind. Good though. We'll be back next time we're in town!

The absolute worst food I've ever tasted not only in Savannah but in the entire United States. My take out order was beyond disappointing it was disgusting. I didn't inspect the box at the restaurant and that was my fault. Wrong sides, wrong meat, brisket that looks and tastes like jerky, one cornbread stale and dryer than dirt one cornbread tastes like a waterery spong. I called and had to be transferred 3 times to finally get my card refunded possibly in a few days. Should be called famously disappointing dog food because that's who ate my $36.00 meal. I will never go back.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE GENEVAS My husband and I are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary here at Genevas for lunch straight off the highway from south Florida. Genevas is our first stop in Savannah always, period. The owners, Geneva and Kenny are an absolute gem to this community I'm so sad that they are not in Florida! Nothing compares to this I'm sorry. The chefs in the back know how to cook and season the chicken to perfection I've never had a bad experience and we come a couple times a year and every time we come it's like we were here just last week the hospitality is top notch. The chicken is cooked FRESH to order so yes it may take longer but it is out of this world. I can eat a three piece like it's no one's business the broccoli Apple slaw is my fav and go to but they have many other great side hard to chose

Meatloaf special with mixed greens and squash casserole!
    Christy B.

Best fried chicken I've ever had! The sides were fabulous! Had the meatloaf and white gravy special...very good! Squash casserole was a first for me...loved it. The Mixed greens weee outstanding too. The cornbread was good it didn't even need butter, but the pecan butter was delicious. Bonus...our server was delightful and helped us choose a great assortment to try as first-timers.

That search led me to The Olde Pink House--a magnificent historic mansion dating back to 1771, now home to one of Savannah's most memorable restaurants. The décor is beautiful, with antique furnishings, fireplaces, elegant woodwork, chandeliers, and enough historical character to make any ghost hunter feel immediately at home. The building is surprisingly large, with numerous dining rooms, each decorated and arranged differently. Exploring it feels almost like wandering through a well-preserved haunted mansion--though thankfully, the staff were much friendlier than the ghosts I had recently captured. The food was excellent, and everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. I'm not usually much of a beer drinker, but I tried the Hostess City, a craft beer brewed exclusively for The Olde Pink House, and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Our server was wonderful, and we were even able to exchange ghost stories with them. We all had a good laugh, although I'm fairly certain one of the portraits nearby was laughing along with us. We arrived dressed entirely in black, and not a single person batted an eye. In Savannah, this is apparently considered perfectly respectable evening attire--or perhaps everyone simply assumed we were attending a funeral for one of the restless dead. After dinner, we asked whether we could explore the other sections of the restaurant, and we were told it would be no problem. We were able to visit the different dining rooms and examine the antiques and objects respectfully without disturbing the other guests. Be sure to visit the bar downstairs, Planters Tavern. It has a wonderfully haunted atmosphere, with brick walls, old-world décor, and a beautiful fireplace that must be especially inviting during the winter months. The basement's fireplaces were reportedly part of the home's original kitchen, which only adds to the feeling that the room remembers far more than it lets on. The Olde Pink House offers excellent food, beautiful surroundings, friendly service, and just enough supernatural atmosphere to keep a ghost hunter interested. I arrived looking for somewhere to recover from the night's haunting. I left well fed, pleasantly spirits-laden, and only mildly concerned that one of the ghosts may have followed me home.

Been here for both dinner and lunch. All this said, I think my approach to this review is comprehensive. With regard to food, I think they have a decent (not expansive) selection of food, which I think lends itself to quality. They do most things really well. This said, I do think there is inconsistency based on staff at the restaurant. On one occasion they have accommodated a request, and on another I was denied the exact same request. I found this frustrating. On one occasion I've also seen management talk down to staff here, which is a big no no for me. All people (especially staff) are due respect and this rubbed me the wrong way. This was an isolated incident but it definitely made my dining experience uncomfortable. Especially because I was getting excellent service from the server!!! I've always had quality service from servers here. In the future, I would come to Rhett for convenience as a hotel guest (the hotel is lovely), but would likely not spend my money if I wasn't staying at the hotel. Overall- it's good food, decent ambiance... but there are soooo many good options in Savannah. You have to be exceptional to stand out in that city.
