Potato logs- meh, don't waste your precious chicken capacity on these
    Lace F.

Heck yeah. This place is more than worth the stop if you're passing through Savannah and good luck if you're a local because you're about to fall in love! This place has possibly the best fried chicken I ever experienced. Shatter-crisp, thin breading hiding the juiciest meat beneath, if you poke it before you bite in, you will likely send a river of juices flowing. To put it plainly- I am on ozempic now and it obviously affects my appetite.... The ozempic is no match for this chicken that was so flawless that I managed to power through and still put down four pieces. Did I suffer later? Yes, I sure did. Did I regret it? Not at all, life needs living and this chicken is life. Skip the potato logs, it's a waste of a side option with the many other choices. Yes, obviously you need to get the cornbread too. And the "tenders" and I put that in quotes because the more appropriate name would be CUTLETs. Absolutely huge, tender beyond belief... sigh, I hate that this place is five hours away from home but in a way... I'm also relieved.

Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 6:43PM Found this gem online and figured we'd give it a shot. Was seated right away. Place is well clean. We noticed they get pretty busy especially with a lot of orders for pickup. Service by Kiera was awesome, she was real helpful with any questions or recommendations. Food was really good, we would come back next time if ever in town and try a different dish. Minus 1 star for the 2% dine in fee, idk but I don't think I've ever seen a fee to Dine in before

Brisket platter, Mac and cheese zero flavor watery noodles, mashed potatoes instead of collards.

The absolute worst food I've ever tasted not only in Savannah but in the entire United States. My take out order was beyond disappointing it was disgusting. I didn't inspect the box at the restaurant and that was my fault. Wrong sides, wrong meat, brisket that looks and tastes like jerky, one cornbread stale and dryer than dirt one cornbread tastes like a waterery spong. I called and had to be transferred 3 times to finally get my card refunded possibly in a few days. Should be called famously disappointing dog food because that's who ate my $36.00 meal. I will never go back.

Not to be dramatic but Geneva's fried chicken was the best fried chicken I have had in my entire life! I got the mac and cheese and blueberry cornbread. Incredible! My son had oxtail which he said was the best he ever had too. This restaurant is at an unassuming location in a shopping center. It was so well decorated, organized and delicious we thought this might be a chain, but it is somehow the only one! Highly recommend! Oh! And not shown was banana pudding we got to go! Also delish!

This place was great! We had a great experience with our server. Met the owner and the restaurant was clean and inviting. The food was great and ther server helped us out with ordering. We definitely were appreciative of the service and enjoyed our time here.

Chicken Fry Bird Tenders with Mac N' Cheese and corn bread

The fried chicken is absolutely incredible! So are the fried chicken "tenders," even though they are technically cutlets as far as I'm concerned. Regardless, the chicken was crisp, juicy, and simply phenomenal! The rest was fairly mid and skippable. Staff were nice, but much of the cornbread menu was unavailable when we went, as they had only 2 options to choose. They also had half the restaurant closed off to dining, and they only offered bottle water to drink. Not sure if that's typical, but it was our experience. The restaurant was pretty clean and vibrant too, which made for an overall nice experience!

Fried Chicken A+ Potato Logs (Hubby gives them an A)

Tucked in a strip mall, this place is worth the wait. Delicious fried chicken. Delicate, plump & juicy fried shrimp. Shrimp sauce was good with it. Potato logs are essentially steak fries, but good. The guy next to us got sweet potatoes and next time, I'm trying those. They looked really good. Service was good. Cornbread is the not sweet kind. Good though. We'll be back next time we're in town!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE GENEVAS My husband and I are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary here at Genevas for lunch straight off the highway from south Florida. Genevas is our first stop in Savannah always, period. The owners, Geneva and Kenny are an absolute gem to this community I'm so sad that they are not in Florida! Nothing compares to this I'm sorry. The chefs in the back know how to cook and season the chicken to perfection I've never had a bad experience and we come a couple times a year and every time we come it's like we were here just last week the hospitality is top notch. The chicken is cooked FRESH to order so yes it may take longer but it is out of this world. I can eat a three piece like it's no one's business the broccoli Apple slaw is my fav and go to but they have many other great side hard to chose

Meatloaf special with mixed greens and squash casserole!
    Christy B.

Best fried chicken I've ever had! The sides were fabulous! Had the meatloaf and white gravy special...very good! Squash casserole was a first for me...loved it. The Mixed greens weee outstanding too. The cornbread was good it didn't even need butter, but the pecan butter was delicious. Bonus...our server was delightful and helped us choose a great assortment to try as first-timers.

If you're in the mood for traditional southern food, this is the place! Located by Target, the restaurant is tucked in the strip mall with the super cool mural. Dine-in or order at the counter to-go. I recommend starting with the zucchini, super delish! It comes with a salsa dip - odd but good! The fried chicken is hot and crispy. The 2 piece meal is more than enough for me. It comes with your choice of white or dark meat chicken, a side and mini cornbread loaf. There's a long list of sides to choose from -- many are southern classics. As for the mini loafs, they have a handful of flavors to choose from (jalapeño, transitional, pecan, broccoli, etc).

Plenty of delicious deserts and sides.

Customer service and speed of processing an order need dramatic improvement. The lady at the register was disengaged, did not make eye contact, and spoke quietly in the loud restaurant which was very difficult to make out what she was asking me. Another employee from a different part of the store came over and interrupted the transaction to get change for a $20 bill. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. that's unfortunate because the chicken and corn bread are so delicious. You can tell the workers don't want to be there -at least the front of house. I hope it improves because the food is very good. Wait times are approximately 20-25 minutes for a 2 or 3 piece meal with a regular side, no drink. Ambience is fine. It's pretty loud in there. I don't think you'd be able to hear the person across the table from you unless you yell. O

Be prepared to wait, but the wait is worth it. Everything we had was so good: chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, black bean salad, and the cornbread! We waited for 40 minutes after we ordered, every table was packed and there was a line for pick up orders. Clearly this place is loved!

Turkey wings, greens, mac n cheese + cornbread
    Sankaya H.

Paid a visit to this place while on a road trip from GA to FL. Excellent customer service and vibe! Food wise, I really enjoyed the chicken and sides...not so much the turkey wings. Was looking for more flavor. Otherwise, it was a great experience :)

It honestly reminds me of that 'Country Greek' hospitality where nobody leaves hungry. The food is just phenomenal. That Fried Chicken is easily some of the best in the South, perfectly crispy and seasoned. I couldn't get enough of the Sweet Potato Soufflé and the Creamed Corn, which was so fresh and rich. The Macaroni and Cheese was exactly how it should be, thick and flavorful with that perfect baked crust. Every bowl they brought out was delicious, from the Butter Beans to the Flaky Biscuits. If you look at the photos, the sheer amount of food is mind-blowing. It's like a massive family feast every single day. Eating on Jones Street in such a historic spot makes the whole thing feel like a core memory. It is absolutely worth the wait.

The restaurant is communal style and only opened from 11am-2pm. There are about 8 oval shaped tables total that can seat approximately 8-10 people per table. I believe they said they can seat 75 total. When you go inside, at each table they'll have sweet tea and plenty of dishes of food for you to choose from already on the table. The options included fried chicken, sweet cornbread, biscuits, green beans, black eyed peas, Mac n cheese, squash, okra, dirty rice, collard greens, potatoes au gratin, Lima beans, pulled pork, beef stew, mashed sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, potato salad, and maybe a few more options. You pass the dishes around the table and load your plate up until your heart is content. The best items to me were the fried chicken, sweet cornbread, and peach cobbler. The dirty rice was undercooked and there were hard pieces. Everything else was just sustenance. If you're a vegetarian, your options will be limited to sides only. You might be able to have squash, Mac n cheese, and maybe potato salad. Many of the items are cooked with meat or made with beef or chicken stock. It's $35 flat per person. Based on the 2 hour and 15 minute wait, I don't think the food was worth it. If the wait was 30 mins to 45 mins, maybe.

That kind of ownership matters. *** Disappointing birthday dinner Came in for my birthday and left underwhelmed. Our server Troy was the one bright spot -- professional and attentive all night. Caesar salad: Several bitter pieces of lettuce, and no black pepper offered or available. Faroe Island salmon: Overly buttery like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The shishito cream sauce was way too acidic -- tasted like uncooked wine or vinegar. Crispy rice cakes were bland and a strange pairing (rice blocks with salmon?). The baby bok choy was decent until the sauce drowned it out. Braised beef short rib: Tender but flavorless. The mashed potatoes tasted old, not fresh that evening. To top it off, my wife had arranged ahead of time for the birthday dessert to be brought out -- the message never reached Troy, so that moment never happened. Troy deserved better than what the kitchen sent out. Won't be back.
