Although I do wish Jim N Nick's offered a lunch menu that was smaller portion and lower price, the food here is worth every penny. High quality, perfectly cooked meats and fresh cut watermelon as a side was superior. The little corn muffins are to die for. Management came up to check on us a couple times and make sure everything was good and I appreciated that. We will be back and eat at this beautiful bar area, the drinks served at the bar look awesome. Well done Jim N Nick's!

Great BBQ with large portions This restaurant is located at 147 Traders Way in Pooler, Georgia, just off I-95 near the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. It's location makes it a convenient stop for travelers heading north or south. It's part of a chain known for Southern-style, slow-cooked barbecue. Their menu shows that they feature brisket, pulled pork, chicken, and ribs. Access was easy with a straightforward entrance from the main road, and there was plenty of parking in the lot surrounding the stand-alone building. We didn't need a reservation and were greeted promptly by a friendly host who seated us quickly in a booth. The menu is a single 2-sided tri-fold page packed with lots of options, including meats by the pound, platters, sandwiches, salads, and a variety of sides like mac and cheese, greens, potato salad, and cornbread muffins. Portions are really large, so come hungry or be ready to get a to-go bag so you can have extra meals later. I ordered the baby back BBQ ribs, which were good and tender but had a unique smoky flavor profile different from what I'm used to. The tea was excellent. The staff was very pleasant throughout, checking in without being overly obvious. The restaurant was clean with a mix of booths and tables. Prices were definitely reasonable given the quality and the generous amount of food we each got--a full meal with sides came in under $20 per person. Overall, I would recommend this to fellow travelers in the area looking for solid Southern BBQ in a relaxed setting. Enjoy!

Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q is a well known bbq restaurant chain. But I will say the food is always good. This particular restaurant is located along the Pooler Parkway. It is close to First Watch and the business center that has Chicken Salad Chick and Smoothie King. It has a large parking lot to accommodate vehicles. We did not dine in, we ordered using their convenient drive thru. It was easy to read the large menu and order. I will not say that it was quick. But I did not expect it to be. There were multiple cars in front of us. Our food was given to us in a manageable amount of time. I was not disappointed. When I read the menu I saw they had a family meal option! This is something I will definitely try next time. It is certainly great for meal prep or your family for the price with the options provided. Check it out!

Jim N Nicks perfectly smoked turkey with extra smokiness I got the original barbecue sauce it has a nice little kickback with two sides of baked beans. The baked beans are very flavorful and Smokey; there's some pulled pork and chopped chilies in the beans. For drink I got a Mr. Pibb and my partner got a old fashioned. Our server, Brandy- let me tell you she's ultimately the best! She's super nice and has that southern charm and hospitality. Jim and Nicks is really good! 10/10

Vanessa was so sweet and friendly! The food was amazing! The loaded baked potato was so yummy. It had everything. I ordered mine with the bbq sauce on the side! It didn't need it but was good too! The sandwich was fabulous and the baked beans were delicious! Will be back!!!

Jim 'N Nicks in Pooler, GA is a great franchise! I love how consistent and fantastic this chain is... it's like comfort southern for me! I highly recommend their Mac & Cheese. It has a slight after kick, (not spicy heat) and it's addicting! Their iced peach tea is always delicious and so are their cheese biscuits... ummm they are dangerously good! I will say that their chopped southern salad was a little mid??? It wasn't as fresh as I'd like (maybe bcs the greens were room temp and not cold). Still good with ranch and smoked chicken!

In Savannah visiting an Army buddy and recommended this barbeque spot. Small outdoor seating available. Bar seating available. Drive thru available. The pre meal muffins was delicious! I want to say cheddar muffins, soft n yummy The Loaded Mac & Cheese, very gooey, cheesy yummy in the tummy. Topped with pulled pork, covered in the barbeque sauce. It was a homerun for me. Awesome, friendly staff. Overall, great place for barbeque and a good time.

My first time and definitely not my last. I have the catfish platter with baked beans, potato salad and half of a jalapeño sausage. Really, Really Good! The catfish was seasoned and fried perfectly. Our waitress was outstanding and the cost was reasonable. The ambiance was cool, spacious and comfortable. #LovedIt

Looking back, we probably should've kept right on walking. We ordered the fried chicken, potato wedges, red rice, New Orleans rice, and cabbage, jalapeno cornbread and pecan cornbread. Unfortunately, the only things we actually enjoyed were the fried chicken and the potato wedges. Once again, it was an epic fail. The cabbage tasted like it had been boiled in plain water with absolutely no seasoning. Both the red rice and the New Orleans rice reminded us of Minute Rice or Uncle Ben's microwavable rice--bland, lacking flavor, and nothing like the rich, seasoned rice dishes we were expecting. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and well-seasoned, and the potato wedges were cooked perfectly, but those two items weren't enough to save the meal. We came hoping for authentic Southern comfort food, but left disappointed. Sadly, this is one restaurant we won't be adding to our list of places to revisit.

That search led me to The Olde Pink House--a magnificent historic mansion dating back to 1771, now home to one of Savannah's most memorable restaurants. The décor is beautiful, with antique furnishings, fireplaces, elegant woodwork, chandeliers, and enough historical character to make any ghost hunter feel immediately at home. The building is surprisingly large, with numerous dining rooms, each decorated and arranged differently. Exploring it feels almost like wandering through a well-preserved haunted mansion--though thankfully, the staff were much friendlier than the ghosts I had recently captured. The food was excellent, and everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. I'm not usually much of a beer drinker, but I tried the Hostess City, a craft beer brewed exclusively for The Olde Pink House, and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Our server was wonderful, and we were even able to exchange ghost stories with them. We all had a good laugh, although I'm fairly certain one of the portraits nearby was laughing along with us. We arrived dressed entirely in black, and not a single person batted an eye. In Savannah, this is apparently considered perfectly respectable evening attire--or perhaps everyone simply assumed we were attending a funeral for one of the restless dead. After dinner, we asked whether we could explore the other sections of the restaurant, and we were told it would be no problem. We were able to visit the different dining rooms and examine the antiques and objects respectfully without disturbing the other guests. Be sure to visit the bar downstairs, Planters Tavern. It has a wonderfully haunted atmosphere, with brick walls, old-world décor, and a beautiful fireplace that must be especially inviting during the winter months. The basement's fireplaces were reportedly part of the home's original kitchen, which only adds to the feeling that the room remembers far more than it lets on. The Olde Pink House offers excellent food, beautiful surroundings, friendly service, and just enough supernatural atmosphere to keep a ghost hunter interested. I arrived looking for somewhere to recover from the night's haunting. I left well fed, pleasantly spirits-laden, and only mildly concerned that one of the ghosts may have followed me home.
