    rust on the mouth piece

Every time I go to this place it keeps getting worse and worse. Employees have a bad attitude , the food is either a hit or miss but it's been a miss lately. This time my food had a hair in it and the drink i was given had rust on the mouth piece. It's always empty and I guess I just figured out why. Very disappointing.

Seeing if my Puerto Rican man approves... "not as good as my grandma" (grandma is always best )

Service is great. The owner is at the register and such an energetic genuine personality. Sangria is the best I have ever had. Even if you think you don't want it.. TRY IT! I had the beef, chicken, queso empanadas. Beef was my far my favorite but chicken was a close second. Sweet plantains... delicious! Of course I had to try everything in my BF plate! Pork was delicious and so tender. Mofongo and rice were tasty as well. Glad we made the drive to try this place out.... We will be back!

DDD ... yes, again!! Season 37 "Sloppy, Saucy and Stuffed" episode. I have no clue how many this makes - but it's a lot!! In the heart of Pooler, GA, definitely recommend it to our fellow foodie lovers. If you've ever been on vacation to Puerto Rico, then you'll know how amazing the cuisine, flavors and overall menu is. Chazito's is a fan favorite for Puerto Rican spots to visit in the USA and once you tasted you'll agree too. Chaz Ortiz has a rich background as being part of a large ethnic Puerto Rican family, where gatherings always consisted of great delicious traditional foods. He wanted to share this with his community so starting off small selling out of a tent, he slowing evolved and expanded his menu to his Food Truck(s) and now a brick & mortar counter service location at 217 US-80. Husband got the Sloppy Jose and plantains just like Guy and he, too needed a box of napkins...lol ... I got a Cuban Sammie ... packed with meat and avocado fries! Deliciousness!!! We also chatted with owner Chaz ... saw his DDD tattoo and learned he's opening a B&B in PR and his long term goal is to move his family there.

Great food, great ambiance and always great friendly service, too! The food is fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made by people who care about what they're doing. Every bite tastes like someone's abuela is watching over the kitchen. The portions are generous, the service is fast and friendly, and the atmosphere feels like a celebration. Try the macho yucca fries, the Cuban an the mofungo burger

As others have stated here, this place is a five star experience. it's a bit of a hole in the wall type place with a cramped terrier, all of which adds to the ambience of getting great food at a reasonable price. This place was busy with visitors during our visit. We were able to get a table but, customers piled in and out to pick up takeout orders. I've switched to a vegan diet and as a consequence, tried their veggie platter. It's not a five star experience, but this doesn't affect the overall rating for their core competencies, which are the other entrées you'll know in the photo set up below. Go and enjoy. It's worth it.

Stopped here as it's a DDD. The food here was truly amazing. Indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are friendly. Definitely stop here.

    Great little place.

Love the food here. Had to try the mofongo, because I heard Fred Sanford say it on the show.

Probably like others recently, I found this by watching DDD on the Food Network. I work down this way quite a bit. So I finally got to stop in. My coworker has been eating here since he was selling out of his car! The hype was not overdone. It was some amazing Latin food! I went late, so there was plenty of parking and no line. Food came out fast and hot! I got the Sloppy Jose and Mofongo burger. Both were amazing! The burger was cooked perfect and was very large with that mofongo patty on there too! The chicharrons were the best I have ever had! Great friendly staff, great food. I will be back!

Local Pooler food on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives! Well deserved national spotlight! We ate here on the evening that the show airing, just before it became world famous. I enjoyed the SLOPPY JOSE as feature on triple-D. It was all that and a bag of chips...or crispy plantains as the case may be. The BBQ sauce had sweetness, sour and vinegar base. Mmmm. Slow cooked brisket with a scratchade mango BBQ sauce super sloppy and super scrumptious! I enjoyed with a side of crispy plantains, a type of french fries, but more crispy. My daughter order the loaded nachos which were through the roof! Came with beef brisket and topped with all kinds of goodness! My wife enjoyed the beef empanadas. They were good but not as exciting as the other food we ordered. She ordered the fried avocado as her side and that was tasty! Way to go chef Chaz! You deserve the spotlight!

Haven't eaten the entire menu yet, but you could live on their Cuban sandwiches and and mofongo alone!

I got the bowl with everything, off yellow rice and black beans ( NO RICE AND GONDULES, not made here) roasted pork, salad and avocado and corn ( which I didn't want but was added, even though it was told...‍). Good thing I don't have an allergy to corn. Very nice girl at the counter but i guess was distracted. Although it's a nice size bowl which I couldn't finish in one sitting, I was disappointed with the pork. Yes it should be tender like pulled pork but not mushy. Not only that it could have used more flavor, in our culture we love to use numerous spices. Our food is definitely not bland. All I can think is that maybe at one time in the beginning the food was on point and over time it's lacking. The dining area is a nice size for eating indoors and they share the space with a Bolivian establishment which serves meat Pattie's and fresh juice drinks. The food is mediocre and not an option for me. I will continue my hunt for some Spanish food that will please my palette.
