I've been here twice now and love it. The service is great, the staff are busy but a lot of fun and know the menu. The food is delicious and prices are reasonable. My second trip there we brought our dog and ate outside. read more

Metro Diner - Diners Near Me - Melbourne, Florida

If I could give it a 1\4 of a star I would. Waitresses didn't even know the menu. Sandwich was not good. Service was really bad.

Just moved here from NJ where diners are everywhere. We NEEDED to find a good diner here and this is it! Every time we have eaten at Metro we have enjoyed it. Highly recommend. read more

Very uncomfortable seating and food delivered was horrible. Would not recommend fior families. Update, observations indicate this place has had a significant downturn in business read more

Lately we have been having bad luck with restaurants. Until today!!! Metro was awesome great food and even busy they are so efficient in getting a table ready as soon as one opens you are off to a spot! Found our new family spot!!! read more

Best breakfast ever. There were 4 of us and we each got something different. Every meal was phenomenal. Service was exceptional and the amount of food you get is crazy huge. Will definately return read more

Great food and table service! It's pretty loud and feels chaotic with the wide open spacing, but we will go back when we're in the mood.

This may be my new favorite breakfast spot in town. The food was great, the servings were big, the wait time was good and the waitress was excellent. Haley was very attentive to our needs and had a great personality. She even got my usually shy daughter to speak! The manager also took the time to stop by and make sure everything was ok. It was worth the long drive (for us) and a few extra bucks. read more

Today two of my friends and I had a lste luch here. One of my friens ordered shrimp without grits and the restaurant was happy to fill her order. I have been to restaurants that would not do that. My other friend had soup and sandwich and I had a hamburger. We sat on an enclosed patio which has a roll up clear plastic wall and a thick mesh bottom that can be rolled up depending on the weather. The service was fast, the priced and food good and the atmosphere too. I recommend Metro Diner! read more

Mr. Lepson thank you for your reply! Most establishment's don't reply at all. When we come in for breakfast I will ask for you.

My husband an I have eaten at Metro Diner for breakfast, late lunch and dinner. We had been pleased with the food and the fish and chips are the best in the area. However, last week when we were there for dinner, I ordered the chicken pot pie and there was not one piece of chicken in the entire pie. It was mainly canned corn and a few pieces of vegetables. and https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ossorio-cocoa?reviewid=tzqP9SFimaKB8T44NkRy0A&select=rXBCrhwqb3BG6xm1_nJbkw read more

This was horrible dining experience. Waitress was great. Cheerful and knowledgeable. We heard manager yelling at the cook staff to expedite orders. The entire restaurant could hear her as she shouted at the cook staff. She had no clue what was going on. Our appetizer came after we finished eating. My entree was over cooked. My wife's entree was under cooked. Our side dishes were wrong. The entrees were not prepared as requested. We asked to speak to manager. She came over sporting serious attitude. She tried to blame it all on our waitress who did nothing wrong. While we were finishing up our surly manager stopped by four other tables and apologized to them for the horrible food and service. The table beside us had ordered an ice cream dish for dessert. She brought it out at their insistence...and even the ice cream was wrong. Need new evening shift management. Sorry, this was 100% Management. read more

Excellent service good selection of food u can order breakfast at dinner a little loud

I am not in the habit of complaining. Called for takeout- food was 15 min late, and shame on me for not checking it at pickup; as it was missing a salad! I called back and was told to come back -was not driving 20 mile for a salad, I said as much, told "we are slammed," manager will call you back later- no call received. Food was ok, ordered extra French Fries which were soggy and limp. Utensils an not in the ha not provided. read more

Was a great place to Eat the first couple of visits, however, they keep the air at 60 degrees and it was freezing cold. Service was good but this time they said it was a 15 minute wait. We waited 30 minutes for a table. We ordered with our server immediately. we waited 1 hour for food as we saw everyone around us get served. Our server Mariah was sweet but said her tablet stopped working and they never got our order in the kitchen. She said would be a few minutes. 20 minutes later, still no food. I explained to the management, they did nothing. We finally got served after 1 hour 25 minutes from ordering. They had the nerve to charge us full price. I will NOT go back Nor recommend to my friends to dine here- Ever. read more

I enjoyed a Metro elsewhere so I was confident to try that in Melbourne. Food was good, service good but ear splitting music ruined it. Couldn't wait to leave read more

This was my second visit to this location. I had breakfast and enjoyed good service and good food. I returned on a Saturday evening at 5:30 PM and was greeted by hostess and seated promptly and left with menus. About 15 minutes passed and no one stopped by our table. My wife got the attention of a server who stated she was not our server but would ask our server to come to our table. Ten minutes passed and out of desperation we got up to leave. The hostess opened the door to let us out and didn't even ask why we were leaving. I asked to speak to the manager. She came to us and asked how she could help us. I explained the situation and she responded that probably none of the servers knew they should wait on our assigned area. She added that she hoped we would come back at another time. I was flabbergasted that she didn't care enough to ask us to stay and get someone to wait on us. Word spreads rapidly in our upscale retirement community, yet she let us walk!! Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Potential customers, be aware that your patronage is of little or no concern to staff read more

Great new place. Service was fast, portions were huge, food was really great. Beef tips plate was very delicious and filling. Kids' menu portion size was generous. Jess was sweet and took great care of us. read more

Metro diner is the place to go when you want to get real American food great food good service and price

Wonderful service! Our server, Tika, was very friendly and helpful and our cook Julius even greeted us. Food was delicious. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that they seem very over capacity for this time of COVID 19. Their booths were all full Ana used and the tables were close together. read more

Food and service today was outstanding, thanks very much to the staff everyone was very friendly and attentive.

Well, I always like the atmosphere here , food is not bad after all . Today , our waitress pick up the plates from next table , dropped one the plates shuttered and piece of plate cut my friend foot started bleeding , waiters causally said oh looks fine , moved on .I asked her bring bandaid she comes back with some tissue cursing about restaurants not having bandaid . Taped the tissue on her foot , then came back with her iPad almost dropped that on our head . I even told she needs to calm down she almost dropped again , she became defensive .We payed the bill then manager comes over , when I told her what happened she right away said " did guys payed" I told her "this is not about money little more concern about customer, we are not here for free food " Then she said "oh sorry about what happened here coupons for next time ". Oh well we are sorry too things could of be handled better if little more concerned about the customer who was there the have breakfast not to have plates dropped on her foot . Don't get me wrong accident happen but how we handle accident it is more important. As customer we want to be welcome to restaurant not rushed out with coupons so other customer does not hear the problem . For a while, I will try not to go Metro Diner . read more

Loved the diverse and unique menu. Food arrived lightning fast and was absolutely delicious. Service was off the charts from the moment we walked in until our waiter literally held the door for us to leave. Best overall dining experience I have had in Brevard in a long time. . read more

3 of us had dinner here tonight, the food and service were amazing! i am celiac and the server was knowledgeable about the menu and if he didn't know he went right back and asked! plenty of gluten free options besides a salad the gf bun that came with my hamburger was amazing! my husband had an omelet and it was very good he said! my brother in law had the roast turkey dinner and the turkey breast was indeed homemade and very juicy, everything was homemade you could tell, can't recommend this place enough we will be back! read more

Disappointing . Very slow. We were there an hour and a half for lunch including wait time for2. Cheeseburger had obviously been sitting too long on the heat lamp counter, and over cooked. Fries 10 minutes late and undercooked. Pot pie very good but should have been warned of extra time to bake it. read more

The service was adequate, no complaints there. However the food just wasn't good. Ordered the Big Mike's BLT which consisted of 3 very thick slices of dry white bread, a bunch of bacon slices smashed together in the middle, two teeny tiny slices of tomato- one on each layer- that only covered half of the bread on the sandwiches, and one limp piece of green leaf lettuce, and faint trace of mayo. I didn't know a BLT could be bad until I ate here. Basically ate a bacon and dry toast sandwich. Very disappointing. Got a side of home fries which were decent but under seasoned. My daughter had chicken and waffles. It looked fantastic but she said the fried chicken was kinda dry and that Publix fried chicken is much better. Pricey place and mediocre food. We won't be back. read more

What a great find! Pulled over for a last minute lunch and decided to bypass the favorite chickn' spot, and SO glad we did! Enormous portions! The burger was fresh, the onion rings were Panko crusted and golden, the fish and chips lightly battered and crisp, and the chicken noodle soup most definitely didn't come from a can! Our server, Nichole, was wonderful! A new chain experience for us, and one we will repeat! read more

Two tars for the kitchen staff only. Server and Manager today get 5 stars. Read on.... Well I've driven by this place time after time and thought today I'd stop for my first visit. Very "quaint" interior, but it's very noisey. Was seated at a table in the back of the restaurant at a bench seat at a table I had to keep a foot on the leg, to keep from wobbling. Let me start by clearing this up. The 2 stars rating I am giving has nothing at all to do with my Server "Cassidy" or the manager a very nice lady, just didn't get her name. Cassidy was great, very pleasant and very helpful as I let her know this was my first time. She knew each of the specials by memory as she never broke eye contact with me. She suggested items and if I'd like a Mimosa. Had been talking to the couple that was sitting next to me who were regular customers and they raved on the food. When Cassidy came back with my Cranberry Mimosa, she asked so politely if I was by chance ready to order. Based on the opinion of the woman customer at the table next to me , I ordered the Crab Cakes Benedict. After a while my meal was brought out by another server who almost delivered it to another table. I looked and all seemed fine. So much for appearances. The home fries were deep fried potato chunks and the onions appeared to be rehydrated onions sprinkled over the potatoes. The chunks of the potatoes were very salty and I had not used any salt at all. The poached eggs were rock hard yolks on the same level as hard boiled eggs. The Hollandaise sauce was either canned or powdered as it sat there like stiff gravy of a very strange, very dark yellow. The hollandaise was broken as the oil was separating from the sauce base. Totally unappetizing . I was extremely disappointed in a place that friends had said I need to go to as I eat out a great deal ( 3 to 7 times a week). The Manager came over when I motioned for her and she took it back to the kitchen. Both she and Cassidy asked if they could have the meal re-made. I declined each time they asked. The Manager and Cassidy both came over and apologized profusely and I said it was not their fault and IT WAS NOT THEIR FAULT, they did not cook the meal. It was the kitchen staff that failed them and me . Poached eggs are to be soft and almost gelatinous with totally runny warm yolks. No hard yolk should be inside a poached egg at all. I have never encountered a kitchen that cannot get a poached egg right in all the years I have dined out and traveled the globe till today 05-05-19 here in Melbourne. And as far as the canned or powdered Hollandaise Sauce, there is no excuse possible for not making fresh sauce and not having it look disgusting as my plate did with the broken, stiff, old looking dark yellow flavorless gravy. Again, Cassidy and the woman who was managing today were the saving grace on my first visit to Metro Diner. I was given a gift voucher and assured that things would be better when I came back. The manager even apologized again to me as I was leaving at the front door. And because of her and Cassidy asking me to please come back and try it again, I probably will take a chance . The 2 again stars are for the kitchen staff ONLY. read more

Pretty good for brunch/breakfast. Was very hyped up about this place, so maybe that's why I feel pretty mediocre about it. Cheddar grits not cheesy enough in my opinion. The one thing I was very impressed by was the wait time! Considering it was a Sunday, 2 people got in within 10 minutes even though it was packed. The fried chicken biscuit sandwich was definitely worth it. Would come back for that and to try something else though! read more

Great food, large portions, just a little pricey.. makes for a nice treat, but not a weekly visit if you arent prepared to drop $40 on breakfast read more

Sorry but the food has gone way down in quality since you've opened in the area. Last few times I went there the wait times were too long. The waitress even took my tea glass to refill and never came back. Went for breakfast and the eggs were hard and over cooked. The pancakes were tough and basically tasteless. Having been a line cook myself I understand the time constraint, but I feel it's more in the prep than the cooking. I do however enjoy the friendliness of the staff. I just feel you can be better than how you've been as of late read more

Great place! We had $2.99 mimosas! Everything on the menu looked great. I had the meat lover omelet and it was amazing.
