Dined in with my MIL for a late lunch last week and it was a good experience. Great service and the place was clean. I ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich and my MIL ordered a Grilled cheese with a side of cole slaw. She enjoyed both. The slaw looked very fresh. My Monte Cristo was very good and it was a very big sandwich. Just the perfect bread for it and cooked up in a flavorful way. Hubby and I went there for lunch today, actually a late lunch. We were able to get a table right after we e walked into the restaurant. Danielle was our waitress, and she asked us we had any questions, and we both didn't have any. I had the BLT on marbled rye with coleslaw. My husband had corned beef on rye and coleslaw and pasta salad. Our meals were tasty and we got full quick. So, we got 1/2 of our sandwiches to take home. Solid breakfast experience, with the service being the highlight. Wife's pancakes were very good, and I focused more on them than my breakfast burrito. The burrito is a signature plate, but not what you might expect. Burrito comes with melted cheese on top, so it's fork & knife. Love this diner! Service was excellent the food was delicious and they weren't skimpy on the portions. The restaurant decor reminiscent of NY city, it is not very big, but they do have some cozy seating. We took the corner spot that offers a little more space to spread out. Overall, the restaurant was very clean, we were able to find a seat right away, and we didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive. All of our meals were presented beautifully and were more than most could eat in one sitting. My brother-in-law and I ordered burgers, Nancy ordered the two egg breakfast, and mom ordered the Gyro. I have to say it is a little on the expensive side here. For example, their daily specials cost $24.25 and their burgers and sandwiches start at $16, but they are very good and you get a lot of food. The burger buns and ciabatta rolls are made from scratch. I ordered the Burger Glace de Viande ($17.50) which comes on one of these rolls and it was delicious! Another notable thing about this burger is that it is served with sauteed portobello and cognac flambé and topped with several hand made onion rings; best and most flavorful burger I've had in a while. I found this place on Google when searching for restaurants to eat in the area. My brother-in-law almost talked me out of going here, but I am glad I listened to my wife on this one because she really wanted to go here too. Excellent food! Large portions. Nice New York City Decor. Friendly staff. Very clean. Price is range from $14 to $24. I got breakfast three eggs sausage bacon grits Potato wedges and very large English muffin that was delicious. The sausage had a nice crisp bite to it I like that. Bacon and eggs cooked to perfection. My husband had the hamburger He said it was good and my mother-in-law had the chicken gyro. I came in on a Sunday morning for a mommy and me date with my son! We were promptly greeted by the waitresses and told to sit anywhere we wanted. We opted for a booth by a window with lots of natural night and a view of the outdoor seating. The AC was at a good level and I feel comfortable at our table. Our waitress was lovely and attentive. The coffee was good! We enjoyed our food for the most part. My bacon and eggs were delicious! The bacon is good quality and nice and thick! My French toast needed more cinnamon and vanilla. It honestly tasted like syrup on bread and just lacked flavor. I'm still coming back though. I definitely think they're worth coming back to. I liked the environment, the staff and decor. We have been going here since 2015. Sometimes we would dine in and always had great, friendly service and wonderful food in a relaxed atmosphere. But we moved and so started getting more takeout. Something has changed in the last few years; the quality just isn't the same. We regularly order the Greek salad, which was amazing at one time. Lately, it's always a new adventure in which component(s) they're going to leave out of the salad. Tonight it was tomatoes and dolmades. Another time it was cucumbers. A different time it was feta--yes, feta. Another time, it was olives. And yet another time they left out the pepperoncini (which they changed to an apparently cheaper style). I've enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner foods from Times Square Diner, until lunch on Saturday, 04/26. I would like to know what happened to the chicken on the chicken parm sandwich. The sandwich was mostly bread, with 2 huge gobs of cheese and very little chicken cutler. The cutlet was so thin and sliced into strips that didn't even fill up the length of bread. Well we had seen this place just by chance one night. They were serving dinner so we thought strange fro a diner to be open for dinner (at least in this town) but Yelpers said it was good so off we go. Wow were very pleased. Quiet, clean a mixed crowd of retirees and families. Katy our server was attentive but not pushy and very quick to make recommendations. Had the "gold standard" and they did pretty good job. The diner is decorated well. Calm nice atmosphere with a great vibe. You can tell the folks in there are frequent customers and families. We have been told it was established 10 years ago. The service is very good, the servers are very kind and attentive. Big plates; reasonable prices for the portions they serve IMHO. I have been here many times but today I stopped by for a late breakfast. I ordered the eggs Benedict with grits and my brother in law ordered eggs, sausage and home fries. Came out in a reasonable time but didn't seem hot or warm for that matter. Gobbled it down anyway. Precisely 15 minutes after leaving we both got sick. Monday 2:00 PM approx, Pizza side of restaurant closed, went to diner as was very hungry.Asked waitress precisely before she submitted order that bacon would be fresh cooked for the BLT sandwich I wish to order. We even joked about pre cooked bacon siitting hours on end in diners. She assured me that bacon is freshed cooked to order for my sandwich. Wife and I split the sanwich, the look of her face trying to chew the bacon was confirming what it looked like. Cold stale bacon, on stale rye. Yes, I ate most of my 1/2 as had not eaten since the night prior and needed some nutrition. I still tipped in cash 20% tip. Knowing my dissapointment, she tried to blame the horrible dried out bacon on distributor sending wrong product. I just hate being lied to, it really disturbs me. I find it hard to believe there are so few brunch places in the Viera area, but hey, it's a fact! Thankfully, Times Square Diner is one of the few. The food is really delicious. Portions are large. Don't let the word "diner" fool you: the food is a cut above your standard diner fare. Nothing was gratuitously dripping in fat or oil. Everything I have ordered here has been super fresh, executed perfectly, and fabulous. The several times I have been here, I have ordered and/or shared omelets (which can be ordered egg whites only). The Popeye omelet, with spinach and feta, was yummy, but I have to say I think the Treadmill omelet, which contains goat cheese, is the best. I've also tried their spinach pie, which was jampacked with spinach and flavor. It was the order envied by the whole table! They do offer mimosas, hallelujah! So if that's your definition of a "proper" brunch, as it is mine, you're in luck. I haven't tried their dinner menu, so I can't really speak to that, but if their breakfast plates are any indication, this place is a solid 5-star dine.
