We passed by the plethora of cars on the way home from a boat show looked up the yelp reviews and said yes- it's a winner let's check it out! So we came in and there was a little wait but I can see why! The food was delicious plentiful and great value for your money we had onion rings and fried mushrooms to start. LOVED the fried mushrooms which were plentiful! The onion rings were also good but I definitely preferred the mushrooms. Saturday night was German night so you can order from the German menu. We picked the combo pick 3 platter pierogies kielbasa and kraut and golumpli! Delicious. Also I forgot I had French onion soup 5 stars! Miss Sharon waited on us with a smile! Well worth the wait. Wonderful food and service with a smile!

Traveling in Florida and looking for something unique and stumble upon this little gem that has special features each night. I went on Saturday which is Polish night. I was seated properly upon arrival. They offer 5 different Polish dishes to choose from. I selected the Combination Platter and selected three perigees, golumpki and kielbasa. The perigees are served with sour cream and apple sauce, very traditional. Prior to the entry, I was served a nice salad and bread. The bread was excellent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is 50s diner with lots of interesting items on the wall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommended, especially if you go on Saturday or Polish night.

This is a cute restaurant full of nostalgic items. There are booths and tables and a nice menu, along with specials. Our server quickly took our order, but had to wait while they made more iced tea. I started with the French onion soup and also had the Cobb salad. The soup arrived quickly and was probably some of the best soup I have ever had. The broth was super rich and full of flavor, along with the perfect amount of onions and cheese. Once I finished, I had wished I didn't order a salad as the soup filled me up. It took crazy long for my salad to arrive as people all around us were getting their food. Our server was super personable and was spending time talking with everyone. My salad finally arrived and was fine, not too much you can do to ruin a salad. Overall, just an ok experience.

Mashed potatoes were rubbery, weinerschnitzle was tasteless. Salad and bread were the only good things we had.

Some things are good. The baked potato and baked sweet potato are always good. I like the turkey dinner on Wednesday.

We kicked things off with the Bruschetta, which was phenomenal. The Focaccia it was served with was truly out of this world--soft, airy, and paired perfectly with the bruschetta and vinaigrette. I sampled both sides of the menu, opting for a pasta on night one and pizza on night two. Both were delicious and well-executed, proving that you really can't go wrong with their main courses. The showstopper for je though was the desserts. Crème Brûlée was perfectly executed with a classic finish.but the Basque Cheesecake was the star of the entire weekend. It was incredibly creamy and smooth--hands down the best Basque cheesecake I have ever had. On top of the delicious food, service was excellent too and a wonderful environment. It's an unassuming, small, restaurant that is easy to keep driving by, but it has some of the best food we've eaten here. Your best plan is to arrive for opening at 5pm unless you want to wait to be seated - it fills up quickly after the doors open. Parking is ample for the size of the establishment, and the dress code is casual. The duck wings were wonderful. Everything you could want with crispy skin, plenty of meat, and a sticky sauce that is flavorful and not too spicy. The shrimp and grits are the best I have ever eaten, and I've been to many of the landmark restaurants in New Orleans. The spice level is really on point - warming, but not too hot - with plenty of shrimp and sausage. Grits perfectly prepared, and the whole dish was swimming in delicious broth. Simply perfect. Their tuna tacos were also delicious with a generous amount of sushi-grade tuna perfectly seared. My only complaint is that the meal we enjoyed was so delicious, it's going to be difficult not to order the same meal over, and over, which would be a shame because everything we saw coming out of this power-house kitchen looked amazing.

We arrived roughly 30 minutes after they opened. When we came inside, the woman sitting behind the host podium didn't acknowledge us at all. I finally said hello and mentioned we were there for a table. Her response was, "Sorry, they just stormed the castle." I wasn't sure what that meant, so I asked how long the wait might be. She simply said there were no more times available. After driving an hour to get there, I asked if she might have any suggestions for another place nearby where we could have a nice meal. Her response was just "no." The whole interaction was incredibly odd and unwelcoming. After making the trip specifically to come here, it was frustrating to be dismissed so quickly with no effort to help. Based on this experience, I won't be attempting another visit. ***it has since become a running joke between us whenever a situation makes no sense, we just say, "Someone must have stormed the castle."
