Atmosphere - Very good. A Country style restaurant that is part of the building that includes the pro shop for a public golf course, the restaurant has a view of the driving range. Service - Very good. Our server was extremely nice and helpful. Food - Very good. I ordered the small portion of French Toast with two eggs scrambled and sausage patties. The French Toast had a hint of cinnamon and was very good. The eggs and sausage were good as well. As importantly, the meal was served hot! Overall Value - Very good. With so many good Yelp reviews, we had to try this place for breakfast. It's located at the municipal golf course and you can watch people at the driving range while dining. Our server was very friendly and brought our coffee quickly. The menu is extensive and I settled on a western omelet with home fries and rye toast, along with a fruit cup. The food arrived timely, but my home fries were hash browns and I didn't want to raise a fuss. The omelet was tasty, but the toast was barely toasted. The fruit cup was nice and fresh. Came last night for dinner. We had not been here for dinner in over a year. The food and service were great. Most of the servers here have been here and the other location awhile. They are great. I had the catfish 2 piece with slaw and fries. My husband had blackened chicken breast with double mash potatoes. We both had tea. My only unhappy thing is still cost. We've cut down to eating out one meal a week. This was $45 before tip. While the food and service were excellent, I just don't enjoy eating out as much any more because it's so expensive. Catfish and chicken breast dinners to me should not be $45. We always leave 20% for tip so $55 for dinner makes me sad Not Pelicans fault, just a comment. read more

Great little place. I'm a big fan of small old dinners. If that's what you're looking for this is the place for you. Food has been great so far and the portion's are good as well. Always check the specials! However if feel like the regular menu items offer a larger portion. For the dinners age it is nice and clean. Had the French toast. It was really good. Service was fast and friendly. Very clean. The views of the golf course were great. New day. We just ate dinner. Husband had the salmon special. While it was cooked perfectly the portion was small, as well as the portion of vegetables. He said it tasted wonderful. I got a burger and fries and it was a huge portion and tasted wonderful. First time here. We had the pulled pork sandwich, and the monte Cristo. They both were good. The onion rings were tasty and a lots of them. The portions were large. Can almost share a sandwich or burgers from what I noticed of the other diners. read more

The food was fine but the gal waiting on us was so rude! She assumed we knew what was included in the meals. Charged us extra then was completely rude about it! Great hot food to go!!! Food sooo fresh and still hot when I was sitting on the balcony of Captain Hiram's helping someone nurse a hangover. Wife had the pecan waffle with bacon. I crushed a homemade bagel, three eggs, shredded potatoes and sausage links. Love this place because of the staff. I sneaked a few pictures of what appear to be sisters working for the summer. I have been on a hunt for a good Gyro in this area (Sebastian). Once in a while I have to have one (and a good one at that). Today was my first visit to Pelican Diner. I had spotted something on line about a Gyro Special on Thur and Fri. (It is not on the menu). First off it smelled great in there. The folks working there were friendly. The place is decorated for Christmas. I found out they have the Gyro Special every weekday (Mon through Fri) and I ordered 2 to go to take for lunch in the park. Our Gyro special came with Gyro, Tzatziki Sauce and French Fries and a dill pickle spear. First off the aroma of these Gyros drove me crazy on the ride to the park. Second - when I unwrapped the Gyro - I was in love! The meat was piled high and was visible and looked great! (most places cover all the meat with lettuce and tomato and onion and Tzatziki sauce and you can't even see the meat. Here the lettuce and tomato and onion was under the meat and the Tzatiki sauce was on the side. The meat was the real stuff - sliced off a spit cooker, and full of awesome flavor. The Tzatziki sauce was great with lots of mello flavor. The fries were plentiful and good. (in my photo a lot of the fries were under the paper from the Gyro. The Gyro special is $7.45 (with the fries) and I think well worth it! I took some photos. I'll be back - it was great!!! read more

I'd love to feel like I want to give them more of a benefit than I probably should as this was not the first visit (although the first in about a year). The wait to get our food was very long considering our order. It took well over 30 minutes to receive our breakfast. Several other tables that came in after received theirs before us (Not just one or two, but 4 or 5 tables). I ordered two pancakes, one scrambled egg and one sausage patty. Pancakes were ok, very flat and lacked any buttermilk goodness, eggs bordered on institutional style and the sausage patty was ehh. My boyfriend did not like his corned beef hash. I was not a fan of the coffee as it tasted very bitter. The servers seemed slightly crass and borderline rude. Very truck stop like personality. I do not remember this place to be this disappointing as I have been a few times over the years. My overall opinion would be to probably not make this my first choice in breakfast in Sebastian. read more

This place is frequented by the locals, so most of the times it is busy, and it closes at 2pm, mainly has breakfast and lunch. Pelican Diner is a small eatery, menu has the typical items, and I chose the Monte Cristo, liken it to a club, breaded and deep frown. I was warned that this type of sandwich can be very greasy because it is fried, however, I found it to be just the opposite, it has a coating much like tempura, and was light and crunchy, very tasty, a large sandwich that I could only eat half, and took the rest home. I enjoyed my visit, the staff was very attentive, and the prices were very reasonable, I will definitely return. read more

We have been to this diner over 25 times, and not once have my wife and I not liked our meal ! Tried out for a third time their new place by the golf course. We are super happy about the easy parking and the fact we have yet to have to stand in line ! Food is just as good if not better ! Chicken soup was hot and very tasty. I had the liver and onions, which was out of this world ! They give you a steak knife, but I could cut it with my fork it was so tender ! Mashed potatoes, onions and gravy, smooth and delicious ! My wife and her friend tried the Kountry fried steak, which both said was superb. All three of us left nothing on our plates. We split a cherry pie with vanilla ice cream among the three and enjoyed it very muchPrices very reasonable. Glad they stay open later now. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner ! We were seated quickly and the waitress took our order and food came out pretty soon. It was ok. My real bone to pick would be with some of the waitstaff eating while serving. The hostess/cashier was shoving forkfuls of food in her mouth while patrons we trying to pay, saw this happen twice, happened again when we tried to pay.
