It's my third day in a row at the Country Ham N Egg so I thought I might share why I absolutely love this place. It has ample parking and space to accommodate the packs of hungry customers that come in. A warm welcome by the host never fails. The wait was about 2-5min to be seated. It is nice and clean. The staff is very attentive and always friendly. I usually get some of their delicious brewed coffee. And a #2 sausage links/scrambled eggs/hash browns & English muffin that I devour with grape jelly 10/10 Definitely a must try if you are in town or if you are roadtripping and need an awesome and delicious spot to munch. Can't wait to be back! Thank you for the consistency in excellence

Continuing my pursuit of delicious breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurants to enjoy a meal at every now and then, my dad and I hit up another local mom-and-pop down in Sebastian called the Country Ham N Egg Restaurant (will shorthand to CHER for the remainder of the review). According to my dad, he said CHER was one of two very popular breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurants that would compete alongside The Southern Sisters before the latter moved up to Sarno Rd. in Eau Gallie. With the "competition gone," CHER became one of the primary breakfast/brunch/lunch diners in the area. We stopped in to enjoy a meal and I have to say, I was not disappointed. First and foremost, the ambiance of CHER is very homey, like southern homey. I definitely loved the outdoor decor as a sculpture of a rooster flanks one side of the awning leading to the entryway. The mural on the south wall is very cool to look at too. Inside, the place is simple yet clean. Your choice of sitting at a table or booth. Staff was very friendly including our waitress. Took our drink and food orders which arrived quite quickly. I ordered the Italian sausage and green pepper omelette with hash browns, dad got a Philly Cheesesteak with sweet potato fries. They forgot to smother my hash browns in cheddar cheese but they corrected that issue promptly. The food: very delicious and cooked right to order. I didn't even have to box any leftovers because I finished everything. Not to mention, the prices for the food were not bad at all. For two people, we paid less than $30 prior to tax and tip. On a sidenote: restrooms were fairly clean. Or at least the men's restroom was. If I am ever in Sebastian and want some breakfast, I will definitely drive out of the way for this place. A very good first impression, so much I would love to come back whenever I decide to geocache back down here again, possibly in Stormwater.

Country Ham N Egg Restaurant is my kind of hometown restaurant you just don't find anymore. The food is good, and the staff is unbelievably friendly. Being that they were quite busy for a Saturday morning, we chose to be seated at the counter and enjoy breakfast along with conversing with Sharon who was serving us with a smile. The restaurant has an unassuming ambience along with that comfortable home dining appeal.

I had the side of hash browns and got a nice quick lesson from our charming server on the diff between home fries and hash browns! My boyfriend and I sat…read moreourselves and were immediately put off by the aroma of our table as it had recently been cleaned with a not-so-fresh rag/dirty water. It was very unpleasant and present the entire meal. We started with coffee and as I poured a single-serve creamer into my cup it curdled; I've never seen this before and I'm sure this was just a fluke but it seemed like an omen of things to come. I asked for a fresh cup of coffee and more creamer as we were then out, and we placed our food orders along with a glass of OJ. My boyfriend chose sliced tomatoes as the "breakfast side" accompanying his combo and was told they "no longer do that." You can get sliced tomatoes on any burger/sandwich/salad or their plethora of listed BLTs but not on the side? Strange for a diner/cafe, especially during tomato season in FL. Maybe take it off the menu as a listed breakfast side option. After waiting for about 10+ minutes for creamer (two waitresses, three small tables each), I finally went to grab a few from the empty table adjacent from me and was politely scolded by another waitress to "just ask if I needed cream." Well I did, but no one came and I'm not going to sit not being remembered while my now second cup turns cold (no one brought my orange juice either). The couple next to us, who had arrived and ordered after us, got their food first as did a gentleman on the patio, which felt odd/intentional. The couple also were offered sliced tomatoes as a breakfast side option by their waitress, so what's the deal with that? We felt judged. I'd like to mention that the man next to us brought in a dog in a vest reading "emotional support animal" that he initially had in his lap (these are NOT service animals) and later put on the floor. The staff said nothing despite there being a sign on their door stating they were no longer allowing animals inside; they have a full patio of outside seating. It would have been nice of the staff to follow their own rules and offer them a table outside. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to dogs. When we got our food (I had to ask again for the orange juice) I was very disappointed. I had ordered the California Benedict and the "avocado" was pre-packaged guacamole-like paste from a container. The mixture was also warm, as were the soggy tomatoes underneath, almost like they were cooked. It is not difficult to make a simple Benedict and just before serving add some fresh sliced tomato and avocado. Would you serve a burger with hot lettuce and cooked tomato? Same concept. In a word, this meal was unappetizing. I scraped off the topping and ate what I could around it. The eggs were nicely poached, the potatoes seasoned, the English muffin toasted. The OJ was delicious, the best part of the meal. The uneaten removed pile of my entree went seemingly unnoticed by our waitress who was by no means rude but just seemed a bit short with us. My boyfriend's combo, while tasting fine, was smaller than we're used to at most breakfast spots (especially for the menu calling it the "Belly Buster") and he found it difficult to eat his pancakes as they were on the same small plate as his yolky eggs. Overall the food and service both left a bad taste in our mouths and it was not a great experience. We will not return, nor recommend.

We live just down the road in Vero Beach, so discovering a neighborhood tavern with this much charm practically in our backyard was a real win. We had already eaten lunch at Nini's Cuban across the parking lot, so we stopped in just for a beer. Within minutes we were pulled straight into the atmosphere. Nancy, the bartender and proprietor, is the kind of host every small tavern dreams of. Warm, funny, and completely at ease, she makes newcomers feel like long‑time regulars while keeping the whole place running smoothly. The beer selection is far better than you would expect from a cozy local spot. There is a rotating craft lineup that rivals bigger bars, along with the classics and a surprisingly solid wine list. We spent half our visit sipping and the other half laughing at the hilarious signs covering the walls and at the antics of a couple of regulars who clearly keep the place lively. We have not tried the food yet, but the vibe alone guarantees we will be back and we will be coming hungry. This is the kind of place where you settle in, meet the locals, and let the afternoon drift. For the record, our beer of choice that day was "Cougar Bait." It is as much fun to drink as it is to say!

From the moment I slid onto a barstool, I knew I was in for something special -- and not just because the beer list reads like a love letter to hop heads and casual sippers alike. Each pint poured is thoughtful, crisp, and refreshing, with local craft brews rubbing shoulders beside tried‑and‑true favorites. I lost count somewhere around the third flight, but honestly? Worth it. And then there's Nancy, the bartender -- sweet lord, if every tavern had her warmth and precision, we'd all be happier people. She recommended beers without braggy pretension, anticipated refills like a mind reader, and managed a perfect balance of friendly conversation and professional grace. Her service alone is worth the trip. Great food, killer beers, and a bartender who makes you feel like a VIP? Village Tavern doesn't just raise the bar -- it is the bar.

We were able to see the Pelican dive for a fish which was cool. The waitress was sweet and super friendly. She was very helpful and considerate, always checking on us and making sure everything was okay. Now why I am give the restaurant a 2 star review: My husband's Fish and Chips were just okay nothing to rave about. My father's sandwich was not the best as he found it to have pieces of shell in it which was not edible. He said that coleslaw was the worse like it came out of a store bought package. My Drunken Sweet Potato was not fully cooked. My Lobster & Shrimp Mac & Cheese also had pieces of shell in it. I love Mac & Cheese but that was awful! I swear that it came out of a box which is the worse way to make it. Plus the lobster and shrimp must have been puréed in a food processor to form a paste to mix in the Mac & Cheese. I was expecting small chunks of Lobster and Shrimp and a heck of lot more cheese. My MIL's shrimp basket was fine. I have a culinary degree and I expect the best. If I had made that Lobster, Shrimp Mac & Cheese for my chef in college, he would've thrown it in the trash, given me an F and told me to try again! My dad was done and wanted to leave so we paid the bill and left. I didn't notice until further review of the bill that there was a Service Charge of 3.80% added to the bill. There is an explanation for this service charge on the very bottom of the menu in small print. I have worked in restaurants after culinary school and the front of the house (wait staff and bartenders) never had to share their tips with the back of the house (cooks and dishwashers). Everyone except wait staff and bartenders usually gets paid minimum wage. Wait staff and bartenders rely on tips because their hourly wages are lower than minimum wage! From now on I will ask every restaurant if they are going to charge me extra to help pay the cooks and dishwashers, if so I'll walk out. If a restaurant can't paid their cooks and dishwashers minimum wage and have to charge customers an extra 3.80% something is very wrong!
