I been here twice within a 1-month period to give them a fair run. Malabar Mo's is a cool little bar that today house that's converted to a commercial location. Malabar Mo's is known as our local biker bar the night's I was here I really didn't see any motorcycles or bikers or maybe I did and they're in regular street clothes. The food here does not stand out in any way it's pretty average but there's really nothing wrong with that at all. Is it cool local spot close to the river with local people who work and live in my town some of which I recognize and I've seen around. The service here is always good. The food comes out fast and it's very presentable. Nothing bad to say about this whatsoever. Now the alcohol is my biggest complaint. I simply ordered a vodka lemonade and I thought the drink was really strong but I didn't even get a buzz so ordered another one and thought it was really strong again and it wasn't. The next morning I realized from the headache I received but the drink wasn't straw but the vodka must have been below the well it was so low grade. The only other vodka that's ever given me a headache like that after two drinks is ABC house brand and Smirnoff. I'm not sure if it was Smirnoff but it did taste really strong for one ounce of alcohol mixed into a regular 8 oz cup so whatever it was it was undoubtedly cheap. Second time I came here I was up with a party of seven people. The waitress was able to handle our table without any issues. She checked in frequently and gave us regular updates on the kitchen and what was going on with the food and the staffing. Every employee I've contacted at this location has been friendly. I wouldn't necessarily call this location a date night restaurant but it's definitely safe for casual time. Let's just say it's not a first date location if you're looking for a romantic candlelit dinner with flowers on the table. If you're close by it's really not a bad spot to stop and have a drink I possibly need some local that's also a good spot to sip on your drink and listen to the crazy banter from a crazy Palm Bay residence at the bar. If you've been in town a long time these people will often tell a story to each other and you'll find yourself smiling and nod and remember the good old days out in da bay. read more

If you like drunks dancing next to your table, lesbians trying to pick a fight with anyone as they make a spectacle of themselves on purpose while no one does anything about it, I guess the atmosphere is for you. I'm not an alcoholic and didn't expect 2 loud mouthed intoxicated, heavy set women to invite themselves into my conversation at my table. It's an obnoxious pirate costume event and a poorly managed business. Socializing is not possible in this atmosphere. I watched some elderly band who didn't play well and the singer had no voice. I thought maybe they were donating their time? Every song they played sounded just like the last song. Since everyone was too bombed to aim properly in the bathroom, they certainly didn't notice. The key issue is no one here gets a limit on alcohol consumption. It's a DUI hot spot. The riffraff are obviously regulars here. The food is awfully overpriced for what you get, the water is even worse, and nowhere near a full menu to order from. Waitress looked overworked and do not smile. A horror show on weekends. I know it's not a classy place like you get downtown in Melbourne, but the owner should be responsible when serving alcohol without any limits and asking big mouths to shut up so others can enjoy a conversation at their table. I know for a fact two individuals who left this bar completely intoxicated and one lost a leg, and the other lost a foot riding home drunk on Malabar Rd. Ask any cop about it. My scenic view is the backside of a gas station. so we split and rode south, Rosie's has a a gorgeous view of the river for less money I dumped on this dive. I've been here twice in the last month. the food is okay if you like frozen reheated burgers, tacos made out of that same frozen burger, store bought salsa, compare it to Tostitos. there is nothing special about the food. I can honestly say, I felt like yuck when I left there this last time.They would definitely benefit by decreasing their bar menu and making fresh ingredients, fresh burgers and actual Mexican flavored meat mix with some cilantro, onion & some SaZon!! I will not visit there again for food. If you don't take your food serious, don't serve it and remain a bar!!. BTW, we sent back our tacos because the had no flavor, we were brought back others that were so salty with seasoning, it was inedible. you can't say seasoning to already cooked meat. The waitress was very pleasent and approachable, but proceeded to tell us that she was alright with us sending our food back because she hadn't had lunch that day and ate our "untouched food"!! Twenty years riding, seven of them daily, and I've never seen a place court the bike crowd this hard while doing this little to earn it. Band booked, house packed, and not one square foot of surface a motorcycle can safely sit on. Just sand. Meanwhile the only real pavement on the property got carved up into spots for the new liquor store -- so the retail counter gets the concrete and the riders who made this place what it is get told to go park in the dirt. That's the whole business model in one night: sell the biker bar image, spend the money on the register that isn't ours. I'm not laying a $40,000 bike down in your parking lot so you can move another handle of vodka. Neither should anybody else. Pave it, gravel it, lay millings, do literally anything -- or stop calling this a motorcycle bar, because it isn't one. read more

Ended up with salmonella poisoning for last 2 weeks after eating here. Got a call within 48 hours of hospital diagnosis from the Palm Bay health department, asking where I had eaten the week prior to the day I got sick. This was the only place I had eaten at. Can't guarantee this was the place of origin, but did not want to stay silent in case others ended up sick as well. I wasn't able to eat foods for a week straight, which landed me in the ER. I suggest this place check their kitchen and double check they gurantee weren't the cause. Good luck. read more

Malabar Mo's now has all the excitment happening under their (very large) Tiki Hut! New menu... food is delicious, especially the fish & fries. Best fish I've had in a long time. Cheap (still) cold beer & a liquor bar as well. Try their own label Bourbon! Activities daily; music bingo, solo artist nights & great bands F, S & S. Not only local, but national acts too, & no cover! Bike nights have returned on first & third Fridays. Place gets packed & everybody, of all ages, is dancing & having a blast. There is overflow parking right next door, which is a plus. Mo's also hosts holiday parties for the community, & host a toy drive at Christmastime. They even host a single mingle night. Great spot for live music. Food was better than expected as the overall impression was it wasn't very clean. Our server Jade was new, 2nd week but had a great attitude, but did disappear a bit. It's definitely a cool spot, clearly frequented by locals who don't seem all too welcoming of non locals. If we're ever up in the Palm Bay area we will end back. read more

Our server was great, but we were very disappointed in the food. My sisters did not like the poke bowls at all. It had a horseradish sauce on it instead of wasabi. There were no cucumbers at all, and there was no seaweed salad included as stated on the menu. My burger was great. My niece's chicken was not cooked and had to be sent back. It was very very quiet... Then we found out it's changed hands recently. Usually it's packed. The manager came out to talk about the issues but really didn't do anything wrong to try to make anybody happy. There was also constant yelling and foul language from the kitchen. We read a favorable review recently posted by the Treasure Coast Foodie and bought special offer gift cards to give Malabar Mo's a try. We did not have the same wonderful experience that the foodie folks did. We sat outside on the lower deck seating area by the stage where a gentleman was playing guitar and singing a mixture of country and older 80's songs. I will say our server was very attentive, pleasant, and provided great service. I ordered the classic American hamburger with fries for $15.99, and the other person ordered the mahi-mahi BLT sandwich on Texas toast with fries for $17.99. We both agreed the fries weren't good. They had a frozen bag taste to them. The burger had very little flavor, but a big splat of ketchup and mayo helped. The mahi fish itself was tasty, but the Texas toast was too buttery making the sandwich soggy, and the sandwich fell apart. The location is really nice with a view overlooking the water, but the atmosphere, food, and entertainment were all just bland. It's too bad because we had high hopes for a better experience and left feeling really disappointed. Unfortunately, we likely won't return. read more

I have been coming to this place for years, it always seem like home when you walk in Knowing the bartenders and waitresses. Great meal. I recently had an awesome meal prepared by Chef Brandon. We started with lobster bisque, which was the best I'd ever had--loaded with lobster meat. My friend and I shared the boom-boom shrimp and ordered the fish and chips. Both were excellent. The shrimp and fish were both cooked to perfection. Crisp on the outside and moist inside. Even the fries were seasoned well and crispy. The boom-boom sauce and tartar sauce were tasty as well. Our meal ended with a chocolate bomb. I usually don't get dessert but I'm glad we splurged on the calories. There was a decent crowd, who came to hear a band. They sounded great and had the crowd going. I got the wings in hot. I like that they just redid the place. I read about the wings and decided to come and try it. The food does take a while and I went around 3pm The wings aren't as thick as I expect but the sauce really ties it up together. Fries were perfect. Hush puppies were perfect. There's a lot of people hanging out loud at the bar and outside drinking it out. I wouldn't say it's an atmosphere thats not normally a sit down and eat like Buffalo Wild Wings or Bizarros. Count your chicken wings! min order is 10, I received 7. Didn't notice until half way through. My bad. Also ordered Clam Chowder with my wings as my dinner. Twice I requested the soup. I planned to come here to check out there happy hour but timing wasn't on our side so we got there afterwards. First time here, I'm open to trying new places as for my wife she not so much. So, I didn't tell her where I was taking her but before hand I looked on the website to confirm they would have something she'd eat which they had several choices I think she would like. So, we sat inside had some drinks and decided to order food. So the food was Fresh and came out hot which was great. Drinks were good and I kept order beer cause it was ice cold the way I like it. Foods always good at Malabar Moe's. I tried their breakfast last week, it was good. But this past weekend I brought friends with me....food was still good, but with 3 of us and just 2 other customers at 8 am (they're open at 6 am) I wouldn't think it would take 40-45 minutes to get food to us. Way too long for a 2 hour start in the kitchen. The Young gal that helped us obviously was her first job as waitress. She did fine, but missed a few key service points. We still tipped her well, but had more an issue with the lack of speed in the kitchen. I'll be back, just probably not as patient next time. read more

Stopped here for some fried fish and a couple cold drinks. This place has a friendly atmosphere and features live bands. The beer was ice cold and the fish was hot and fresh. Service was on point too. Oh and the remodel looks very nice. Definately worth the stop. read more

Hey, Malabar Mo's is a good place to go if you like cold beer, cool people, and an atmosphere of bikers,blondes, boobs, and good picnic table food. If you have some visitors from up North, grab a basket of Gator tail, maybe a fish sandwich, a burger or two. The wait staff is good. The food is better. And the guests are friendly. I still can't get over the tree they had removed. I sent a lot of tourists there just to look at the tree. It was the most beautiful prehistoric swampy thing I've ever seen for a plant. My wife and I had been to the original Malabar MO's many times over the years and were big fans of it. Since the restaurant became 'family friendly' and all the floors and walls were straightened out and made square, and the gorgeous tree in the back patio was removed, and especially the 'bangin fish sandwich' shrunk to almost nothing, we have not been back and will never be back. Add to it, no more live music on the weekends, sorry. There are way too many other fine, charming restaurants in the area that are not made plain (think Earl's Hideaway) read more

It's not clearly marked, no one was at the wait station, we walked around both the front and back, and no employee paid us one bit of attention or asked to help or seat us. With no one bothering to serve seven customers, we walked away, convinced that their positive reviews must be from bots, employees, or family, possibly aliens. Other than that this place is disgusting. the manager with green hair was slurring her words and fumbling around, seems like this place needs to be inspected. This pace was a good spot a one point but the manager ruined it. I've been going to that establishment for almost 2 years and she continues to make it extremely uncomfortable for the staff and customers. If you a poorly managed facility this spot is just for you.
