From an out of towner, this was a gem of a find. Seemed to be more of a local hangout, and we were lucky to be seated without any wait. We ordered the coconut shrimp app (highly recommend) , poke nachos , and shared the south seas (mahi) tacos. The poke nachos were a large appetizer for a reasonable price given the generous amount of ahi tuna present. I thought both apps were very good but the tacos were sub par. Unlike the nachos, the tacos had very little mahi. The ratio of lettuce to mahi was like 3:1. The best part of the tacos dish turned out to be the rice and beans that came on the side. The beans were well seasoned and came in clutch as hungover leftovers the next day. Our server, a young lady, was very polite and checked on us often. Overall we enjoyed this restaurant and would return if ever in the Indian Harbour Beach area again. read more

I ordered the Ahi Poke Tacos, my companions ordered the South Seas Tacos (grilled) and the Coconut Shrimp. The portions were huge and the food was delicious. I've since enjoyed the lettuce wrap and shrimp tostadas appetizers, then there's the salads! They are pristinely fresh and generously made. Just had the Crab and Shrimp Cake Salad, which was beautifully arranged and presented, not to mention tasted great. Have also had the Black and Blue Salad, which is tenderloin and bleu cheese - wonderful! Happy Hour is every day as well. The servers are some of the friendliest and most responsive I've ever known - Lindsay, Jenna, Kiera. The food is over priced for how bland and unseasoned it is. Waste of money unless you are a fan of no seasoning. The only flavor comes from them smothering the food with condiments because they can't cook. My entree came with vegetables that were barely cooked and smothered in a ginger dressing. The shrimp was cold. My friend's rice tasted like it had frozen vegetables and it was drenched in a sauce that was overpowering, and did not go with the rest of the meal. The rice in both dishes was soggy and overcooked. Also, my friend's drink was almost out and he went to take a sip and the waiter just ran at him and yelled, "don't drink that!! " ...weird. Went there to celebrate 2 birthdays during on a Thursday for a late lunch. Our waitress, sorry cannot recall her name but she was fantastic. Never been there before, most of us needed some guidance and she was very pleasant and patient. The food was great, something for everyone's taste buds and budget. There were 8 of us and she was very attentive. The decor is fun and very clean. After shared desserts, I requested our fabulous waitress if she wouldn't mind taking a group picture and she did so with a smile. The whole experience was fantastic. Parking is very easy. Have eaten here three times...the food presentation is photo worthy. VERY SPICY, large portions.the lettuce wrap appetizers are enough for me to have for a meal. I ordered a hula burger and upgraded to onion rings. I ordered the burger medium and it came out well. The burger to bun ratio was on point. The bun was soft and delicious. The burger was decent. The onion rings were huge and plenty of them. They were deep fried red onions with a spicy batter. To me the batter was too dry and too much. The flavor of the rings were very good. My wife got the mahi-mahi and the first thing she mentioned when she took a bit was I probably should have gotten the fish tacos instead. We Vacation every year in this area. We ate there twice in 2024 and it was nice. The next year we went back. I took my water bottle in because I can't drink caffeine or anything that is carbonated because of my bladder. They told me that I could not bring my water bottle in. The poke nachos and shrimp appetizer were a favorite, so was the poke rice bowl. Kids portions worked great for toddlers, if you have a bigger kid I would recommend to get an entree instead. It didn't have all the toppings I'd normally want on a poke bowl, but it was pretty good. The crab and shrimp cake salad was good! I didn't care for the citrus vinaigrette dressing, but they brought me some ranch and that was good. A great restaurant in the Indian Harbor beach area This restaurant, I believe, is the one of a kind. It is located in a building in front of Lowe's close to A1A. There is plenty of parking owing to the lots along 2 sides of the restaurant and an entire parking lot behind the building. It is in the corner lot of a building of shops. It has a Polynesian/surfing look to its sign and many of the decorations inside. According to their website, "Hula Moon is a modern take on the American tiki bars of the 1950's and 60's." Their food is a mix of American pub food and Polynesian-style dishes like poke bowls, tacos, sandwiches, and seafood. They have a full liquor right in front of the door as you enter. The seating areas are a mix of booths and tables to the right and left of the bar along with some tables outside. We were greeted by a hostess and escorted to a table. They have a good mix of foods and dishes. We ordered the lettuce wraps, a Shanghai Shrimp Bowl, and a Black-n-Blue Steak Salad. All of these came out quickly and were delicious. Most appetizers run from $10-$15 and most meals are about $15-$20. The location was clean and very relaxing. The staff was pleasant. The prices were reasonable for the economy. Overall, it was a pleasant experience that I would try again and recommend to anyone wanting a good meal in the area. read more

First time at Hula Moon today and I was not disappointed! The servers were very sweet. The decor is Polynesian style (their menu reflects that as well) - they did an awesome job with it! It looks great. It's very cozy inside and they really take advantage of the natural lighting as there are a lot of big windows. There is outdoor seating and a bar as well. The food was very good! The [Luau Pork Plate] was phenomenal! Very fresh and hearty - you will be leaving with a full belly! The rice on its own is flavored so well they even sneak in some small bits of pineapple in the rice. The pork is very moist and is accompanied by a sweet/tangy/cinnamon bbq sauce that really pulls everything together. Would order again! [Shrimp tacos] I would say are your classic safe go-to if you're more on the picky side with you're food or are in the mood for something simple. Shrimp can be fried or grilled - I chose fried. The tacos are topped with pico de gallo and shredded cabbage and is served with a side of black beans over cilantro rice. The rice and black bean combo was so tastey! The [Pepper Jack Cheese Planks] are very interesting! Versus mozzarella, the pepper jack cheese makes for a more creamy cheese stick. They pair the planks with their own signature raspberry sauce - so you get a little bit of heat, sweet and tang all in the same bite! They were good but I would be interested in trying a different appetizer the next time I go. All in all, great experience and can't wait to come back to try more! We started out with the fried artichoke heart appetizer, Heaven!!! Our server was great and helped me decide between the Shrimp BLT and the Tuna Club. OMG! That Tuna Club was incredible! An amazingly huge slab of tuna, seared perfectly with lemon aioli on really nice multi grain bread. My cohorts shared the pulled pork platter which was definitely enough for two.
