Warm Apple cobbler à la mode

The two gentlemen on the rooftop were so helpful and really nice. They knew every aspect of the menu, the beverages and made the visit that much more welcoming. The Apple cobbler à la mode was epic! The view was nice and, after sunset, the breeze was fantastic. We didn't want to leave. We will be back.

Gem for the food lovers, outstanding flavors and ambience. Locals paradise with unparalleled service and attentiveness. Plates are served with so much care and pride. We had appetizer bruschetta that was out of this world in addition to grilled salmon and fish and chips.

Well, the food was good.... We went for Thanksgiving. I was asked, when making the reservation if we could walk upstairs. That did not clue me in... I just figured that there was an upstairs area without Ada assistance. Instead.... Our walk to the table took us through storage and trash areas. See the pictures. The dining area....omg. See the pics. It still looks like a spare bedroom. The ceiling is falling in! There's black mold around the vent. My back was to a closet covered by a curtain. Service. They tried, but, were woefully understaffed. There were dirty plates stacked in the floor. The drinkware was plastic. The Mai ti tasted like blackberry. The Long Island ice tea tasted like lemon juice. My old fashioned was just whiskey on the rocks with an orange slice. We ordered the pretzel appetizer. Cheese was good, but the pretzel was a hoagie roll. When the server brought dinner, she thumped the plates on the other side of the table. I got up and moved them to where we were sitting. I asked for a glass of wine... it came with our check. I can't say I'll be back. Seeing the dirty plates on the floor and holes in the ceiling was just horrid. Seeing other patrons get rained on as they sat outside was terrible. I had been charged $10 just to make the reservation. Overall, 4 drinks and 2 dinners was about $120, not including reservation fee and tip. Overall, it was just sad. Very sad.

This is a classic location in Melbourne.right before you go over the causeway. Somewhat tuck away between the hustle of the near by traffic, this place offers somewhat of an easy going, beachy feel with a touch of class. Connected next door is a spot unknown to me for years which is a curated collection of whiskies and some named after the Masion. Try the flights in the restaurant or bar to Know which is your favorite and take the bottle home. Food wise nothing was a huge hit for me but service was attentive.

This restaurant is tucked away a little off the beaten path. There's an outdoor part, and an indoor tavern/sports area part. We sat in the tavern but by the time we left, the outdoor part was filled. Wait staff was incredibly attentive and we had our server and the bartender check on us multiple times throughout the evening. My husband got the salmon which was very delicious and I got the chef burger. Side note: it doesn't come cut, I cut it myself. The chef burger was a special and it was delicious. Good fries too. I recommend this spot for a nice evening!

Good food in a nice setting with great water views from the rooftop deck. Service was excellent with a friendly and responsive waiter. I had the New York Strip steak which had an excellent presentation but the steak and sauce just tasted ok so I wouldn't get that again.

Came in with the a group on Friday around 1830 with reservations. Sat inside which was really nice. The room was somewhat private with nice decor. Service was really good and the restaurant overall had really nice ambiance. Got the fish tacos, it was ok. It was basically a perfectly seasoned fish in a tortilla. It came with beans, pico de gallo, cheese, cabbage slaw, jalepenos and brownish guacamole. I also got an old fashioned that came mixed with ice chips, smh. Classy place like this should provide a block ice but apparently it was an upcharge for a dollar. The cellar and spirits room is a must visit. They got some rare labels in there and I thought decently priced. Overall, good spot...def recommend!

Great local spot in downtown Melbourne. The food is always excellent especially the appetizers! One of the best views in the area if you sit on top of the roof! Staff is always super friendly. The only negative I have is sometimes it has taken a while to get our food.

I am writing this review knowing I will be back and my opinion of the food was subject to me being on a special diet at the time. So I will absolutely be doing a revision the moment I go back if the experience is better. Also if you're going to get drinks it's a 10/10 and you can get some pretty nice bottles of liquor from their cellar. We stopped by with some friends to grab a lunch and catch up. I was doing a rather strict diet and had to be rather choosy about what to order. In the past Melbourne has actually been a rather easy city to stick to a diet in because I can find some healthy but extremely tasty options. I ordered the Falafel sandwich with no tzatziki with a side of sautéed spinach. The falafel didn't have tons of flavor and I know that's what the tzatziki would have helped but I've had better falafel. The spinach was good and had some garlic and salt and pepper which added to enhance the flavors. The service was fine but it took a while to order and then get our check. In full confession I have been back to Mansion since this visit but I went for the roof top bar and a drink which were fantastic in fact every "zone" of Mansion has its own vibe and all are great!

Pork chop special

We've been coming here for years during our vacation, but this time we were disappointed with the service and food. I would give less than 2 stars, but we had good experience in the past and I'm hoping it's a one time thing. Our server wasn't very friendly, but another guy who brought out the food was great. I had margarita and it tasted very sour and almost like pure lime juice... margarita is my choice of cocktail, and I usually get a little buzz from one drink, but this did nothing to me. I also had pork chop special that came with mashed potatoes and green beans. I hated how green beans tasted as they were very acidic and salty . I decided to eat the rest of the dish, but I should have returned it to the kitchen. The pork was cooked the way I asked, but it was extremely salty (I'm the one who likes a lot of salt, but this was too much). We had a big family dinner and other people mentioned their food being very salty and Caesar salad dressing being so salty that they couldn't eat.

I really just went for the insutution of bacon wrapped dates supervised by my wife and is girlfriend (two different people). The Medjool dates with millionaire bacon and goat cheese and I am not exaggerating when I say this dish could solve international conflicts. Sweet pineapple, salty bacon, creamy goat cheese, and a drizzle of what tasted like the chef whispering sweet nothings the way I'm romantic. I was going to order a second dose for "research purposes." Truffle Honey Chicken Tenders (Not Your Childhood Lunchbox) is the most misleading name ever because "tenders" sounds like something you eat in a drive thru parking lot (I'd pick Bojangles of course). These were crispy, sticky, sweet, slightly spicy, and basically the PhD version of chicken fingers a bit dry but the sauce make it good. Brussels sprouts usually remind people of childhood trauma. These charred brussels sprouts with honey, soy, ginger, and peanuts tasted like the chef personally apologized to every person who had ever been forced to eat boiled vegetables in 1987. Smoky, sticky, crunchy, slightly sweet. I would willingly eat vegetables here again, which is a sentence I never thought I would say out loud! We build a strategy to devide an conquer in a unique waiter (I hate the name server, it sounds like tennis) recommendation that was impressive! My brother ordered the heritage pork chop, which looked like it had been bench pressing in the kitchen before arriving at the table. Perfect crust, juicy inside, sitting on sweet potato hash with a slaw piled on top like a fashionable hat and I went with the snapper catch of th day for a surf and turf combo! I considered banging on the door at 3 am for another dose of pork chop like I was in college and wanted the party to go on My brother was impressed with the Blackbird Arise that showed up like it owned the table. He said it was smooth, bold, and dangerous because it makes you start considering dessert when you absolutely do not need dessert. I don't drink so I take his word for it. The women weren't behaving so thy split a smash burger and truffle fries, which means our ordering strategy was clearly "yes." The burger had that glossy brioche bun that looks like it was polished before serving, and the fries were exactly the kind that disappear before you realize you have eaten most of them. A smash burger is supposed to drip greese down your arm and this didn't. This strategy ensured my spot on the couch for bedtime. If you go, order two doses of the dates so you don't have to bring a date.

The fatty portion of my Prime Rib was excessive. I get that ribeye-style cuts derive flavor from fat, but this was to the point where it overwhelmed the dish and left me wishing I had ordered the lower-cost ribeye instead. On top of that, it came out medium instead of medium-rare, which didn't help. We were victims to their awful cooking and mishandling food. I certainly do give good ratings for good restaurants as much as 1 star ratings for dives like yours. Plus your prices are absolutely insane if I have to leave hungry especially. My steak was overcooked and took too long to get it. 6 oz? You should call that a child's menu item with a side of mac and cheese. Just 6 miles south, The Old Fish House in Grant surpasses the food here, at a fraction of the price with the same damn river view as this uppity location. Vics is another gem in Sebastian, I've been here for 45 years, I know the area better than you. This Yellow Dog "Sample size" Cafe charges a fortune to put your life at risk with ignorant kitchen staff, how can you justify staying open? The country should shut you down! The decor manipulated their decision most likely. I'll look into it, I promise. People only go to this riverfront dive because they're pretentious, not because they expect good food and a drink. I really should have read the reviews and taken the poor 1 star as a big red flag to avoid this place. My date ordered an unrecognizable goo, and she wouldn't touch it. I wonder if we suffered these poor kitchen practices noted in your failed inspection? Thawing commercially processed Reduced Oxygen Packaging (ROP) or vacuum-sealed fish in its packaging is highly dangerous. The lack of oxygen combined with improper temperatures creates a perfect environment for Clostridium botulinum to grow and produce deadly toxins. You're charging customers to end up in the ER as a dining experience here. Nothing excuses that. Look for the screenshot, I sure can see it.
