As someone who grew up on the water and close to New Orleans, I have a very high standard for seafood. This kitchen doesn't just meet the bar; they raise it. The Food House Smoked Fish Dip: This was a refreshing departure from the traditional "creamy mushy" dips. It was full of bright flavor and, most importantly, didn't drown the fish in mayo. Using the house-made kettle chips as a base was a great touch. Crab Cake Benedict: This dish was understated but incredible. The crab cakes were nearly all crab with very little filler--a rare find. I have to give a huge "Bravo" to the kitchen for not drowning the eggs in sauce; the remoulade was perfectly balanced and, honestly, better than my mother's! (Don't tell her!) Caramel Pecan Cheesecake: We finished with this for dessert. It was decadent, rich, and definitely a shareable portion. The Drinks My mother enjoyed the house Chardonnay, and I opted for their signature cocktail, "The Brevardian." It was impressively smooth and balanced. You didn't get a sharp hit of bitterness from the bourbon or an overbearing sweetness from the fruit; the flavors just meshed perfectly. The Verdict: Between the view of the Indian River and the "scratch-made" quality of every bite, this is easily one of the best spots in the area. This was my second time visiting Brevardian Riverfront, and my first time coming for brunch -- and it did not disappoint. I ordered the shrimp and grits along with a lavender lemonade, and everything was delicious and well-balanced. The shrimp and grits were flavorful and comforting, and the lavender lemonade was refreshing without being overpowering. The riverfront views were absolutely spectacular and made for the perfect Sunday brunch setting. Despite it being a busy brunch with friends, the service was attentive and friendly. The Brevardian was a secluded restaurant by the water. I went here on a first date because I heard good things. The sunset was nice but not spectacular. A bug flew into my hair. Sitting right on the Intracoastal, the views alone set the tone whether you're planning an elegant date night or just a casual evening out. It strikes that rare balance of feeling special without being stuffy. The menu delivers across the board. There's a strong focus on fresh seafood, but plenty of land-based options as well, so no one feels limited. Everything we tried was well-executed and flavorful. Inside, the space is eclectic in the best way. It's cozy, charming, and full of personality without feeling overdone. You can tell there was intention behind the design, and it adds to the overall experience. Outside is still cozy despite the open air ambiance. There's a two level patio area complete with an outdoor bar. Service was another highlight; friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive without hovering. The staff made great recommendations and kept things running smoothly. The only reason this isn't a full five stars is the wait time for the food. There was a noticeable delay, and while the staff was upfront about a backed-up kitchen (which happens), it did interrupt the flow of the evening a bit. We ordered the Winter Scallops and the Grouper Rockefeller. Both dishes were top notch. Others at the table ordered the Mojo Seared Grouper and Grouper Risotto and loved them. They had an accessible table right on the patio overlooking the Indian river! They started us off with homemade seasoned chips and a smoked cream cheese dip (complimentary). My husband ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell to begin. We then ordered the salmon with the most incredible Gruyère grits I have ever had with my husband ordering the filet with scallops. He loves scallops and was thrilled they came with the filet as usually it is paired with shrimp. When trying to find a place for brunch, I was looking for a place halfway between Orlando and West Palm Beach as a good meeting point for my family. We were going to be celebrating my birthday - and that's when I found Brevardian! I wanted to go to a place on the water and so I made a reservation for the patio! I am so glad I did - my birthday brunch was perfect!! We even got to see some dolphins from our table! Upon arriving, we were seated right away - and the original table we were sat did not have any cover from the sun, but they moved us by the bar and it was perfect. I made a reservation for 10 people and we were all very comfortable. Our server Lisa came over - and she was FANTASTIC. She has such a cool personality and she really made our experience amazing. She had great recommendations too! We ordered the mimosa flight, which came with a bottle of champagne and 3 different juices (cranberry, orange and fruit punch) and assorted fruits on a board. I had never had a fruit punch mimosa but now I'm a huge fan! For food, we all ordered individual entrees (instead of the buffet platters) and nobody left anything on their plates!!! The food was AMAZING. I originally ordered the Cuban Breakfast, but unfortunately she came back from the kitchen to let me know that they did not have any ropa vieja :( but that was okay - I ordered the shrimp & grits instead.. and that DID NOT disappoint. My husband and BIL ordered the Steak and Eggs. They both loved it! And the rest of my family ordered the Ole Florida Skillet. Like I said, everyone left their plates CLEAN. The house sausage was really really good! Then, I was surprised with a small sampler of their desserts! Much like the other reviews I wanted to love this place too. I had heard great things and planned a special ladies brunch for my birthday today. Well apparently another party had the same idea and a group of 26 was sat the same time as we were. I have never worked in a restaurant but I can imagine that was a challenge. So let me start with the good. The server Wesley was extremely patient and kind. There were 8 ladies in our party all with dietary restrictions. He did his best. The atmosphere could not have been prettier. We sat outside, everything seemed very clean as well. I had the Bloody Mary and the wagyu burger. Both very good and tasty. Here's where the problems came, as I mentioned we all had dietary restrictions. While mine is not life threatening other people in my group cannot be as flexible. There were no gluten free options clearly available and there was only one vegetarian option. When we asked for accommodations the chef refused. I completely understand wanting to protect your craft and your art but in this day and age you just can't be that inflexible. Almost everyone is allergic to something. If everyone with an allergy just stayed home restaurants would be out of business. We also did not receive our food together or even close to the same time. Our reservation was for 1130 and we waited what felt like a very long time for balsamic dressing because they had already run out. Was very surprised by this restaurant. I've never been there before. Found it on yelp. Was going to meet a friend up there and absolutely loved it. The view is fantastic. If the weather is good, I highly recommend eating on the patio and watching the sun reflect off the water. We ended up eating inside, but it was still well worth it. Our waitress was very attentive and had great suggestions. Everything we had was fantastic. The scallops were tender and cooked to perfection. A really good experience - food was delicious (had the Chef's Special Chorizo-crusted fish entree), Veggies cooked nice Al-dente, not mushy at all). Nick, bartender took good care of me & surprisingly for a Friday night, was not packed. The menu is inspiring - great options & wanted to try more than just what I had - the Cioppino entre at the adjacent table looked really delicious. The restaurant used to be Bonefish Willy's, and I had been there previously multiple times. While BW was charmingly funky, The Brevardian is much more elegant. It's a 100+ year old building right on the river, so seating on the lower deck is cool & makes for a memorable meal. But the Brevardian folks have updated the property and it's truly nice. Bathrooms no longer oddly funky, and the whole property feels comfortable (I got rained on a few times sitting at the bar at BW!!). That won't happen with the updates to the building. Wasn't impressed with the food it was so so and it memorable at all. In fact it was barely warm it was chicken and waffles had an over bearing vinegar taste but was spicy which was a the best part of it. The butter for the waffle would t even melt if that tells you anything. Service was good and he was on point. No we didn't send the food back as we chose to eat it but we did let them know which they offered to fix but we passed. Coffee was good and strong when my buddy's wife asked for sweet tea only had unsweetened tea which he did offer to bring sweetener what restaurant in the south don't have sweet tea lol. We spent NYE having an amazing dinner! We each got cocktails, coconut shrimp appetizer (amazing!), ribeye and the salmon. I will be trying to replicate the salmon and Gruyère risotto. It was fantastic!!! We also had the cheesecake and it was delicious too! The backside of the old Bonefish is now the restaurant seating and we sat in a cozy little cove. It's amazing how they completely changed the layout. It's so cozy and warm! Our waiter was Nic and he was fantastic! He was on point with all his recommendations. 11/10/2024 Took the family (9 people) here for a nice Sunday brunch. We were supposed to sit outside, but had barely ordered our drinks when the rain started. We scrambled inside and were squeezed into a little nook, not terrible, but definitely less table space than outside. Anyway we managed. The food was 'ok'... different for sure, but nothing special, a few 'platters' made for 2 or more. Craft cocktails that those who ordered them said were good. I stuck to coffee/water. When the weather in Brevard is a postcard-perfect day, there's no better spot to dine outdoors than The Brevardian. They have mastered the art of combining stunning views with an inventive menu that pays homage to local flavors. But fair warning: if you ask for ketchup, prepare for an elegant "we don't do that here" side-eye. Honestly, you won't miss it, but I have poor taste and will for sure Crab Cakes appetizer, are enough to be a meal and can only be described as a masterpiece of crispy golden edges and buttery crab perfection. The Brevardian Fried Chicken was beautifully pickle-brined and fried to juicy, tangy perfection, served alongside creamy mac, assorted house pickles, and their FI BBQ and house ranch sauces. It's the ultimate comfort food reinvented. The crush seems kinda salty but overwhelmingly flavorful and wonderful. What an incredible invention of Coffee + Brown Sugar Salmon: it was perfectly seared, the salmon sat atop silky Gruyère grits, accompanied by charred tomato and chicken skin butter that made each bite a flavor explosion. The three Seasonal Scallops seared to golden perfection and nestled in a bed of butternut brown butter grits. The fried sage and bacon hash added just the right touch of autumnal decadence, while grilled bread begged to soak up every drop of sauce. And if you can't decide (because really, everything is tempting), the Taste of Brevardian is your ticket to sampling a variety of local favorites. The outdoor seating fills up fast on wonderful nights, so make reservations, or you might be left gazing longingly at the diners already enjoying the best seats in town. A+ can't wait to go back From the jump, there is plenty of parking. You will have a short walk to the host and the driveway is rocks so I would say heels are not the best choice. Also, it can get windy so be aware of that for outfit choice. It is a quaint spot, but that's the charm! THE FOOD IS AMAZING. My family all passed our dishes around and everything was outstanding. what an absolute disaster of an experience. we made reservations for 7pm for a special occasion, and got sat fairly fast. We waited for probably 20 minutes at our table before we even got acknowledged and it was the host to take our drink orders because our waitress was IMA. We put in drinks and a couple apps and no one came to our table for another hour. no food nothing has arrived. And finally! Our waitress finally shows up only to tell us (and the other 3 surrounding tables that also haven't gotten service yet) that the food we have been waiting for an HOUR is sold out and they are out of all seafood dishes!
